"Just because she gave you the all clear doesn't mean you can run a mathron."Aiden said as he took a turn. "Take it easy."

I opened the car door and got out. I was going half day because of my doctor appointment. I have to take my meds everyday morning and before bed and I have to a special dressing which has to be changed every two days.

I walked into school, it was ever so quiet no one was even in the corridors. I walked to my locker and did my code then I opened my locker door.

A paper heart folded was there. I picked it up and unfolded it.

I smiled. It was period three right now. I closed my locker door and quickly walked to the fields.

I saw Cole there sitting by a tree with a pinci basket by him he was wearing his jock jacket. I took a deep breath and let it out.

I walked over to him. "Hey."I said as I sat next to him my back leaned against the tree.

He looked at me. "Hey. I was worried that you wouldn't come."

"I just came in now."

"Well I've got a surprise for you."

"I want it on a Friday."Carter said with a sigh. "It'll be better."

I let out a groan and took a sip of my coffee. "It isn't that hard."

"Just remember this time, there will be no time for cake."Douglas said as he poured the coffee into his mug.

"I'll eat the cake on the next day."Carter said in a duh tone. "It's only once when you become 23."

Aiden and Bryce walked in. Aiden sat next to me where as Bryce pulled out a mug and poured coffee for himself.

"Why don't we just do a dinner?"Aiden said with a sigh.

"A dinner for my twenty-third birthday?"Carter said in a shock tone "No I'm fine with a party."

"How did Ivy's appointment go?"I asked.

"It went okay. She has to have these special dressing done every two days."Aiden replied. "She's been gave the all-clear on the infection. She is to take it easy but she isn't going to."

"Do we have to change the dressings?"Douglas asked.

Bryce nodded. "The doctor thought it would be for the best. Instead of having someone else do it."

I looked at the breakfast bar and a Spanish textbook was in front of me and I only realised it now. I shouldn't had a late night last night.

"She left her Spanish book."

"She probably didn't need it."Carter said.

I opened the Spanish textbook. "Who wants to learn esponal?"

Aiden let out a chuckle. "We should already know it."

"Yeah. Grandad taught us."Douglas said.

"And Greek."Bryce added "Thanks from Yiyha and grandad."

"Only if they were here."I muttered under my breath as I flipped through the pages. I saw a pink note shaped as a heart but folded.

"We had the best of both worlds."Aiden said as he poured coffee into a mug which Doug left for him.

We all looked at Aiden, a tear trickled down his face and he quickly wiped it away. He was the first born he was close to our grandparents.

"What are we doing with this party then?"Bryce asked changing the subject.

"Tomorrow night. Invite all your friends."Carter replied.

I nodded and got up I picked up the Spanish book. "I'm going to get changed and put this in Ivy's room."

They all nodded and I left the kitchen and went upstairs. I went Into Ivy's room and I sat on her chair I opened the book to the page where the note was I picked it up and unfolded it I read it.

It was from Cole. The least person any of us would want her to be with.
