"Your brother is suffering from Lupus, Ms.Smith." The doctor informed Michelle after examining her brother.

She rushed her brother to the hospital after he had a high fever and had a seizure. She was very nervous earlier while his brother was inside the emergency room and was being examined by doctors.

"W-what is that?" She asked nervously.

"Lupus is a long-term autoimmune disease. It destroys various parts of our body." The doctor explained.

She sucked her breath after hearing what the doctor said.

"I-it can be treated, right?"

She was silently praying that the doctor would say 'yes''.

"Fortunately, it can be treated. Good thing you rushed your brother right away here in the hospital. Lupus is a life-threatening disease, Ms.Smith but it can be successfully managed, of course with the help of our medicines."

"Do everything you need to do, Doc to heal my brother."

The doctor nodded and smiled at her genuinely. "We'll do everything that we can to help your brother, Ms.Smith. For now, we need to run some tests to identify what kind of lupus he has. But let me just inform you, Ms.Smith, you will need a lot of money for your brother's medicines so you better get ready." The doctor said then tapped her on the shoulder and left.

She weakly sat down in the chair and covered her face with her palm. She sighed heavily as her eyes started to water until her tears finally fell then she started sobbing.

She don't know what to do anymore. She don't know where to look for money, she's even having a hard time finding a penny to buy themselves food, and now, she has to look for money again for her brother's medicinal needs.

If only their parents were alive, if their parents were not involved in an accident at the same time, then they wouldn't be living like this. They will not suffer.

It was five years ago when she was just 15 years old while his brother was 6 years old when their parents died due to a car accident. And since her family's relative didn't take them, she had to strive harder for her and for her brother to live but because she was too young, she was not able to find a decent job until they became homeless.

Their lives have been difficult. They don't have a place to stay since the bank took their home because of her father's debt. And to put food into her and her brother's stomach, they would wait for the food waste coming from fast-food chains and restaurants, and there, they will look for something to eat.

At first, she was disgusted by it but later on, she eventually got used to it. She has to or else, she won't survive.

She took a deep breath and wiped her tears away. She has to be strong for her brother. She should not show that she is weak.

She stood up and was about to enter her brother's room when a man caught her attention.

The man was staring at her as if she was an interesting object, a reason for her to have goosebumps. But for some unknown reason, she could not take her eyes off the man either. And her heart thumped loudly as the stranger slowly walked towards her.

She wanted to look away and enter her brother's room but she can't move her feet. And she can't help but feel admiration towards the stranger as the man was finally right in front of her.

The man was handsome!

She gulped when the stranger smirked at her which she found very sexy."I've heard what the doctor has said about your brother." The stranger started. She doesn't know him but there's something about the stranger that made her rooted in her place. It's as if there was a certain magnet between them, pulling her towards him. "And I can help you, Ms.Smith. I can help you to save your brother."
