Chapter Seven

"So, what's your name?" I innocently asked while giving him the look anyone couldn't resist.

He scoff and threw me a glance. "Humor me, not."

I pouted. I am just trying to joke around.

"Maybe we can start again by... you know? Asking each others' names, shake hands... unlike the first time," I shrug my shoulder and look outside the window. "oh, look! Look at them! They're hugging!" I shouted while still looking at the man and woman, widely smiling after hugging each other. I then look back at Lance who is still busy driving while his left arm is leaning on the other window.

I stared at him, smiling. He suddenly look at me and raise a brow. "What?"

"They're hugging!" I exclaimed.

"And? What is it to you?" he ask in a tone of 'duh'.

"Let's also do it!" I suggested while grinning at him. He made a face and shake his head before playing his radio.

"I am not hugging a stranger." he finally added. He horn not too loud when he saw a motorcycle over taking. "Bitch, does he wanna die?"

"Chill. You must need a hug right now, hmm?" I flirted but the gay just made a face and move the steering wheel to the left. I saw his biceps flexed so I immediately bit my lip.

"Damn, gay. Why are you so hot?" I murmured out of the blue and without any adeu, Lance look at me surprisingly, his eyes are all wide and with a hint of disgust on it.

Now, I am very curious what he is like. I mean, who wouldn't get want to befriend him? He has this very faraway look and he casted something  I couldn't pin point from the very beginning. One reason I quickly like him and mistook him as man is one, he dresses like one, two, he has this stoic expression women loves more,  three, he's cold and mysterious, not a typical attitude a gay could  have. I mean, not to offend the others but I knew gays who are very fond of making friends and show everyone they are gays and sorts.

This one is something. And I can wait to find more of this man, driving beside me.

"Hey!" I shouted when he drove fast just when we are about to head inside the university.

I look behind the backseat where I can still see the gate and running students going inside. Glancing on my wrist watch before I look in front, I speak. "Where are we going?!"

Lance stop when the red light is on. He look sternly at me sideways and roll his eyes again. "Cagayan de Oro. " He simply replied without even thinking twice about his answer.

My eyes widen and so does my nostrils. I grab my pouch above my legs and bit my lower lip. "You know it's class time, right?" I slowly uttered and take a glimpse on the red numbers.

Thirty-eight seconds left before the green light.

"You know, just to inform you, I have an exam right now, and maybe you could just drop me here," I look at my side first before checking if there is a moving vehicle on the intersection area but I saw nothing. "Or here," I speak again when he is now moving, crossing the 'x' road. "Or maybe just here." I began to panic. "Or here," I pointed the yellow pavement from the right but Lance didn't stop his car.

"Or there!" I shouted and point the church we passed by. But Lance is not showing any reactions while he is still driving.

Oh God, no.

I missed the surprise quiz earlier on my minor subject and now, another subject again.

"Lance, I have a class!"

Now, I can't find my voice already. I didn't have the guts to yell at him earlier since I am very surprised by his sudden information.

Cagayan de Oro? Damn, it will take us almost three good hours to arrive there and it's almost two in the afternoon. I can't believe I just skip classes and jump to another city with this man I didn't expect to be with.

"But I don't have." he speak.

I roll my eyes. "You could've just drop me there!" I shouted, now getting annoyed. What will Brian say if he finds out I am now skipping classes because I am with someone? I am sure as hell that he will going to rant me out about this thing!

Lance stop the car and tilted his head to look at me while his left hand is just holding the steering wheel. "Is it my fault that you get in without proper idea that I am not going to school?"

Oh my gosh. Don't humor me! Idiot.

"You could've drop me off earlier!"

"Are you ordering me?" He blurted while still raising his brows. Now he looks like a real gay.

"Why can't I?" I fired back.

He smirk and step the gas again. Shit.

I saw him twist his tongue before finally speaking. "Miss, you entered my car first without an idea where I am heading. Your fault, not mine."

Ha! I poke the wall of my mouth using my tongue when I can't find the reason to answer him. Remind me next time to bring my car when we are going to have a snack. Gosh. Monica drove earlier using her car and I left Brian's car on the parking lot!

"Gosh, I can't understand your sarcasm." I finally speak, accepting the fact that I am going outside the city without my brother's consent.

Ugh.

"Neither I. You started this whole thing. If you aren't that clumsy, we might not know each other at all. And girl,"

My eyes bulge after I heard him say that, "what did you say?"

He rolls his eyes. "I just want to remind you that there will be no thing between us after this day."

I got tongue-tied on what he said and I slowly lean my back on the seat. My heart suddenly stings and I hate the fact that he hurt me without giving him my consent. I never experience rejection and I think, I just had.

"Rude." I said out of blue.

I saw him look at me before looking back in front. "Me?"

I chose not to answer him. Giving him the idea that he hit a nerve inside me will make him laugh in triumphant. Didn't know liking a gay isn't that easy as one, two and three.

"Let's just play mind game." I suggested and smile abruptly, removing all my tensions from earlier.

"What do you mean?"

I smiled. "Just do what I say!" I exclaimed excitedly.

He didn't answer but I know he is listening. I giggled first. Enrique taught me about this to lure his men and he didn't fail. He really got what he kinda need and it's great!

"Pick the last digit of your cellphone number."

"Then add it with two, what is it?"

His brows furrowed. "Three."

I grinned.

1

"Then add it with second to the last digit. Drop the answer. "

It took him a few seconds before he answered. "twelve. "

09xxxxxxx91.

Ha! Taste my smart revenge, Mister. Chandler. I assure you that I got to laugh the last wits.
