"I don't feel like changing!" Tracing her fingers on varieties of the pretty gowns showcased in front of her, she spoke with her mono flat tone. Her eyes had a hint of secrecy.

"You must be tired of travelling, let's make it next time... go and rest Diana!" Soon turning towards the woman with her plain suspicious expressions, Genelia spoke in a convincing tone.

"Well I am not tired!" Diana replied with her eyes sparkling, her hands touched the gowns hanging for her to choose, biting her lips she seemingly was excited and happy.

"Right! Go and try this!" A silk maroon long apparel seemed not less than a thousand dollars of worth.
Pretty, long, skinny and elegant...
simply gorgeous!
Tugging it out and eyeing Genelia with her eyes excited, Diana smiled warmly.

"What are you waiting for? Go!" She chuckled as Genelia still stood there not proceeding.

The apparel was indeed gorgeous but was kind of revealing, her eyes started losing colours as she breathed out. Her neck still had the fresh bruise on it.

If by any chance she will wear that apparel then her black and blue mark will obviously show up and no way she was ready to display that bruise in front of anyone to make a judgement on it.

That is the very reason of her excuses for Diana's plan to try out dresses.

If Diana came to know about the club's incident she surely would stress herself out.

Almost every gown was designed as such to display her long neck which was indeed a show for a watcher.

"Diana I really don't feel like-..." Genelia's another excuse got cut off by a so done snort of Diana. Rolling her eyes she herself stepped ahead towards Genelia with authority.

"Come on don't be stinky. I am curious to see how you'll look wearing my choice tonight!" Diana said unbuttoning her uniform and before Genelia could do anything about it Diana already caught the view of the faint blue and black handprint on her neck.

"What is this-..." Diana's actions paused as Genelia immediately backed off from her surprising her guts more by her action.

"Nothing!" Genelia spoke with her face blank showing no emotions, the action back in the club left a very bad impact on her.

Of course anyone would be upset, on the very first encounter her so called fiancé gifted her a bruise.
But right there Genelia wasn't upset but rather angry on that fact.

Alejandro really had guts to raise his hand on a woman. Obviously he didn't knew her identity then but what if she wasn't his fiancé. What wrong could've happen back there if Mateo didn't arrive on time?

Have he ever hurted any women before?

She was indeed silent back there but not because she had any respect for him to accept his cruelness nor she feared to offend him.

She was rather silent to see what was the real face of her soon to be husband and she got him right.

He is a pathetic man who attacks women thinking they are weak.

But too bad, he knew not a bit of her yet. If he thinks raising hands on her will be a fair game for him to keep her shut in future then he is way too wrong.

She isn't the type to gulp her tears and accept bruises as gifts like other women.

"Genelia!" Diana's stern call gained the attention of Genelia as she eyed her with no expressions.

"What is that?" Diana asked again capturing her arm with her eyes showing anger and hurt.

They were the closest and every little problem of the other was like another's own.

Besides who would dare to hurt her? Someone who walks around with so much protection of mafia.
Genelia had people serving her, guiding her, helping her and protecting her.

Then who dared to put hands upon her?

Eyes dropped down for a moment as Genelia's lip line curved a little upwards, voice sounding blank yet a hint of danger could be heard when she spoke weirdly proud making Diana gasp.
"My wedding gift!
"

AT NIGHT

Room filled with honour.

In a circle of married women, Genelia with her legs crossed and eyes blank was sitting in the middle.
Her mother in front of her and Diana on the left.

Chit chatting is something which is considered a formality there. It's like a thing to showcase how unbothered and happy women are with their life.

How ironic, things are quite opposite in reality. They aren't as happy they seem to be hence they have nothing to show off but only fakeness.

These women are nothing but slaves of their husbands, they were wedded to warm their man's bed and give them heirs.

Who knows what happens in a closed chamber of one?

What worse could happen? They are not dead in the morning, that's all matters.

Bruises, cuts, broken bones and the taste of blood has become one normal thing for these women.

"Oh sweetheart, you don't know how lucky you are. You are going to marry someone who is not only a well known character but your life saver as well." Diana's mother spoke sounding sweet like honey.

Genelia stared at her meal without any reason. She seemed rather busy in dining herself than wasting her time in chit chatting with others.

Diana noticed Genelia's ill vibe while keeping her comments within herself.

She can do nothing there even if she wanted to. She only felt pity for Genelia who is soon going to be jailed like her.

"I know right. They said he was only 7 at that time besides it was his first kill!"
Another one joined as the group of women started their chat with the topic of the incident which happened years ago.

It has always been like this, the same scene and the very same words.

People always remind her how she was saved and how grateful she should be to her brave fiancé.

But how ironic it is, every single time she hears about him... her mind raises a question back, why was she saved by him?

Life like this gave nothing to her then what's the use of saving it?

Thankful, Grateful? For what? She was rather cursed because of him saving her.

"Mrs.Fernandez you're lucky to have your daughter married to Garcia's son, that to the one who has the throne in possession. Your daughter will be the queen."
Genelia clenched the fork with her right hand upon hearing those words.

Her mother let a small warm smile spread across her lips as she nodded weakly.

Soon staring at her daughter who was looking down at her meal without speaking a single word nor enjoying the dining.

Mrs.Fernandez understood her feelings well after all she was the one who gave her birth.

Nothing can be hidden from the eyes of a mother.
But what could she do?
She herself was helpless because of the promise made years ago.

As just Genelia kept looking down at her meal silently one of the server interrupted the discussion of women in the dining. Bowing 90 degree to Genelia, he spoke professionally.

"Young miss, master is remembering you!" The server spoke as that's when her head rose up at the view of his face.

It was a call from her father.

At one point she was glad that she won't be a part of this baseless discussion anymore and at the other side she felt her whole body jamming upon her father's call.

She never feared him but rather she feared his will, he can obviously do nothing to her cause as per the promise she didn't belong to them. She was someone else's, so nobody could do a thing to her to offend her fiancé in any way.

But yet she always faced certain amount of foreign hesitation to face her own father.

Standing up she hesitated a bit before walking out of the dining leaving her dinner incomplete. She couldn't help but wonder what could be the reason of this sudden unexpected call.

Soon reaching near his inbuilt office inside the mansion Genelia saw someone else there too. With his head down forming a professional posture, he stood out of the office quietly.

"Alvaro!" She called as that's when his attention was earned. With his features blank he approached Genelia before bowing to her in respect.

All the memories of the club started clouding her thoughts yet again upon seeing his face. The whole day he didn't show up.

Was he maybe still guilty?

"Master summoned you, Miss!" He spoke professionally while signalling her to proceed which she did.

Soon turning the knob he opened the door for Genelia as she walked in first with him following behind in silence.

The large office seemed rich. Expensive showcases added taste and class as the smell of foreign cigar filled the environment, she stood in front of the desk of her birth giver.

There he was sitting holding a cigar up to his lips while looking out of the window beside him with his firm blank eyes, the view of him could send shivers down in one's spine.

"Greetings father!" Speaking first she gained the attention of him. Bowing to him in respect she earned his eyes.

Alvaro stood by the doorway behind her with his head down in formality, Mr.Fernandez looked at her with his eyes wearing no expressions for a moment while putting down the half burnt cigar on the ashtray.

Humming to her, his eyes then went behind her to the other man in the back, staring at Alvaro. Soon her voice gained his attention again.

"You called me?" She spoke, more as for him to divert his eyes from Alvaro.

Which he did.

"Sit!" While ordering her, his voice seemed firm. For a moment it made her wonder again what could be the reason of this out of blue call.

The vibe seemed serious so was his stare on Alvaro earlier.

A moment of dead silence spread across the room of three as soon Mr.Fernandez decided to speak with his voice deep.

"Your fiancé contacted!" He spoke less but firm. The statement alone made Genelia numb for a mere second and eyes double the size.

He contacted, Why? Why now! It cannot be about the matter related today right?

She wasn't fearing about the outcome earlier but why now she felt anxiousness started clouding her thoughts?

Before she could even react properly her father continued and glad that he did.

"He will have his servers guiding you from now on."
Mr.
Fernandez's eyes were strict as he said so, taking his words in Genelia's eyes wore a sense of anger already.

Guessing the things right she assumed everything pretty already. Whereas hearing this Alvaro's shoulders dropped down.

"I'll let my assistant change your staff in the morning!" He spoke sternly, more like he ordered as that's when everything got clear for Genelia.

Alejandro had his intentions invalid there. No wonder why he would do that, protection could not be the reason... obviously not.

He saw her in the club with Alvaro. If not he have seen her would he still have send his men?

It was all just to prove her a point that he owns her.

Sure in-laws provide securities to their soon to be bride before marriage but why it had to be now when in the morning they had an unexpected encounter.

Genelia's hand formed a fist as she stared at her father blankly. With Alvaro in the same room as her, Mr.Fernandez was confronting her about changing staffs?

His intentions were very clear from the start.

Alvaro's eyes still stared the earth. The guilt seemingly increased more.

He felt like being not enough. Like he wasn't good in protecting his Miss. Attachment of years is going to break.

Numbers of emotions started hitting him like a truck upon hearing Mr.Fernandez. It was not difficult for him to understand that it was all happening just cause he could be removed.

"There's no need!" Genelia replied after a short silence. The room of disobedience made Mr.Fernandez frown.

"I don't want anyone except one. Alvaro has been there for years now. I don't intend to let him go for foreign customs!"
The nerve of her to speak in front of her father so boldly made the air around the office thick.

She was defending Alvaro while going against her own birth giver. Alvaro on the other side who had his head down looked up. His eyes widened upon hearing her.

"What did you say?" Mr.Fernandez questioned darkly, pardoning her with dare whereas she remained less bothered by his threatening voice.

Even the thought of someone trying to take decisions related Alvaro made her blood boil.

Her father was the sole reason of her life turning upside down and what makes him think she would be obedient with this decision as well?

Sacrificing her youth and marrying for the sake of alliance is a very big thing she can do to please him already.

"Alvaro will be accompanying me forever. That's what he accorded, I am not letting him leave nor he can do that himself. Also no one else can make him leave forcefully. He is my person, only I own the authority to free him."
It was the first time of her speaking in front of her father and it was valid.

Alvaro was appointed by her late grandmother before she died. He was a gifted server for Genelia.

Hence as per the norms Alvaro was only Genelia's person then how can she let others meddle in her business with Alvaro?

Not even her father was allowed to make decisions related to him.

"You are going to get married next week!"
Mr.
Fernandez stood up from his seat wearing darkness, he was surely aware about Alvaro belonging to her yet he wanted to empower Genelia yet again.

Purposely mentioning this in front of Alvaro and ordering her that her men will be changed...
that was the last thing he could do dominate her.

A small chuckle escaped her lips then.
Was it a threat? Sure it was!

"Whether married or not. Alvaro is irreplaceable, he will have to accompany me to the grave. That's what the pledge says. Except him you are free to change whom ever you please!"
Every single word coming out of her mouth earned Alvaro's ears as his eyes reddened, his chest movements increased.

'She didn't abandon him!'
