Chapter 2

Chapter 2✔

Najwa's  p. o. v

The driver parked the car at the parking lot and Najwa quickly ran to the house crying her heart some of her siblings were married and the younger one's were in their  rooms since it's an enormous house. It was only her mom that was present in the parlor watching her favorite Indian series. She plops the groceries on the floor and fell on her mother's body.

"Najwa are you okay? What's wrong stop behaving like a kid and tell me what happened? Why are you crying? Did you perhaps fight with somebody?"

"Mom nothing happened. It's just that i'm feeling a little headache. My head hurts" She lied. Looking at her mother's worried face, she decided not to pressurize her with her problems.

"Then go and freshen up, eat your food and then take some medicine. You don't cry when you are sick , you stay in your room all day that's how we notice if you are not well, but why the sudden change there must be something wrong"

"Mom I told you it's' just some slight headache we did 4 lectures today and usually we take 2 lectures everyday but today some lecturers had no time for their next lecture so they decided to take it today and I'm very exhausted I need some rest"

"Alright I hope you are telling me the truth if it's a lie one day the truth would be revealed I know you must have fought with somebody" She knows how troublesome her daughter can be but since she decided not to say anything then so be it.

Najwa doesn't want to argue with her mom so she grabbed the groceries and took them to the kitchen. She settle them inside the fridge before ambling upstairs to freshen up she did her Namaz. After she's done, she lay down on her soft soothing bed feeling anger rising inside her with the hurtful words that came from the stranger. UNMATURED. That's the only hurtful word she couldn't distant from her mind. How could he say that she's not matured? She's not a kid. How dare him. Who is he? What does he have? Did he thinks he's good looking? He's the type of guy that thinks girls are rushing to them. He thinks he's at the top of the hill. He's such an annoying person who believes he's attractive. He must be sick in the head. She let out a hiss remembering all the events.

"Who are you talking to? Are you really okay? Are you sure you didn't fight with someone?" Her mother's voice snapped her out of her trance.

A smile resonates out of her lips. A fake one at it. "Mom I'm just reading a novel. Um.. I mean I'm writing a book so I'm recalling some things I want to include in the novel isn't it interesting?" I giggle. The look on her face tells me she isn't satisfied with my answer.

"You can't hide the truth from me. Meanwhile I heard everything you were uttering from the start"

Najwa's eyes almost popped out of it's socket. Why did she blurt it out aloud? Didn't she thought of her mom finding out. "Mom I'm sorry please forgive me for lying to you. It's was a guy I mistakenly bump into at the supermarket and I apologized but he kept saying some hurtful words and I couldn't resist so I exploded" she ushered slowly. She waited for the woman to start lashing but instead a fit of laughter erupt through the room. "So you exploded like a bomb? This funny daughter of mine can't kill me with laughter"

"Mom I'm telling the truth" Najwa form her lips in a pout.

"Najwa, me and your father always advice you to be patient and always say the truth. If you apologized and he refuses to listen, then leave right away. But if he/she tries to stop you from leaving then you can say your mind. So don't repeat such mistake again" Her mother's voice was low as she advice her daughter.

"I will heed to your advice Insha Allah. I won't disappoint you and father and I won't put shame or something bad to this family"

"That's good to hear" both let out a smile at the same time.

just then her sister Yasmeen pushed the door open. Happiness visible on her face.

"Guess what?" she began standing beside their mom. All their attention turn to her.

"I passed my jamb" she exclaimed

"Wow sis I'm happy for you"

"Thank you sis. I can't believe I got 230. I think my dream to become a pharmacist has finally come true" she chuckle placing her head on their mom's arms.

"I'm happy for you but don't get overjoyed, you still have a long way to go. You haven't done your post utme and you haven't started it yet you are happy, I pray you should be successful my sister"

"That's good to hear you need to be more serious to achieve your goals" Their mom ushered.

"yes I will. I must celebrate this"

He has never felt insulted like today. He was exhausted due to work stress so he decided to go shopping maybe be it will Lessen his mood. But his day got more bad after bumping into an unrecognized lady came and his mood worsened. Her rude words kept echoing in his head. She has the audacity to call him an arrogant man who does she think she is? If he ever set his eyes on her again, he's going to teach her a good lesson. She will regret calling Bilal Abbas an arrogant man. His jaw clenched as he assured himself.

Bilal Abbas, 30 years of age and the  second son of a billionaire, Abbas Hashim who owns an oil company named EXXON Mobil. Bilal is smart and intelligent but sometimes rude. He studied petrochemical engineering at the University of England. Now he's working in his father's company. His younger siblings are afraid of him because of his temper. He doesn't joke around with them, but he respect his parents a lot and his older brother. Who is married with 3 kids. He's indeed a good looking man any girl will want him for herself. Any lady will want to spend the rest of her life with. He has no girlfriend only deals with his work.

Setting his foot inside the house, he sighted his parents and his 2 younger siblings at the dining. He greeted his parents in a respectful manner before seating beside one of his siblings.

Their father noticed his changed demeanor. "My son what's the matter. Is there a problem at work you don't seem to be alright "his mom commenced.

"Nothing Mom. It's s just stress from work but once I get some sleep I will be okay"

"Son don't stress yourself alot if there is something bothering you tell us, I wanted to talk to you about something but since you are tired we will talk about it tomorrow " his dad retorted taking a bite to his mouth.

"Okay dad" Since then no words were exchanged between them.

After they were done eating, he went upstairs to freshen up and get some sleep may be it will cool him down to forget the incident that happened today  but unluckily the words kept repeating in his head. Especially when she called him arrogant. His phone vibrate beside him which brought him back from his world of thought. His friend's name, Zain flashed across the screen

"Hello my friend" He uttered resting his back on the bedrest while rubbing his palms on his forehead.

"Two days we didn't chat on phone. Any update?"
