Keith takes me home with him, Mrs. Mathilda comes out of her room with a smile, she welcomed me like I was a lost family member.

Keith sends my bags over to the visitor's room, I sat down on the couch and he goes off leaving his mom and me alone.

Mrs. Mathilda, thanked me for everything, especially being close to Keith even if his twin sister dead, my best friend.

There was no need to be thankful, minus the fact that I had a huge crush on Keith, my best friend's brother, and no matter what happens, I'll always stand by his side.

A few minutes later, Mrs. Mathilda sends me to my bedroom, on our way I passed Kailey's bedroom.

It's still unbelievable to think, she's no more.

Mr. Sam, opens the door, he asked me to take a rest and he left thereafter.

I unlocked my bags and hung them inside the wardrobe, I kept doing that forgetting my phone in the living room.

When I did remember, I rushed out, cutting Keith's conversation with his mother.

"Samantha is everything okay?"

She asked me.

I walked in and by the look on their faces they were discussing something important and my presence spoilt it.

"Yes ma'am, I only came to pick up my phone,"

I pointed, hurriedly grabbing it from the table.

I turned around and excused myself.

I went back to my bedroom, locking the idea of Keith's conversation with his mom.

There's no need to feel as if they want to kill me, after all, they're no stranger's and Keith wouldn't do anything to me.

The same day, precisely midnight, I was fast asleep on the bed, I turned and saw a shadow walking past my bedroom.

Immediately I jumped up from bed and curiously followed the directions it left.

I picked up a broom on my way, walking into the living room.

I scanned around, picking up some noises coming from the kitchen.

"Who's there?"

I shouted, picking up the broom.

The noise continued, I stretched out my hand to switch on the light, I picked up the exact place the switch was and when I turned it on a met an animal ransacking through the kitchen.

It wasn't just an animal, but with his red eyes, and huge teeth and fingers, it was a werewolf, and it wasn't Keith.

"Keith,".

I shouted his name.

The animal takes heed of that and he jumped out of the window, making a run for it.

Keith and everyone at home come to the kitchen, he asked what happened and I explained everything leaving no information behind, Keith gets upset, he hurried outside keeping his mom and myself on few protection.

It's quite strange that a werewolf could pass Keith's security at home, and make such a mess.

Keith returns home after some time, Mrs. Mathilda asked if he caught the perpetrator, and he declined 

He comes to me, rubbing his hand all over my body.

"Are you okay same?"

He asked.

"Yes, I am fine,"

I replied, Keith, pulled me in for a warm hug, I could have sworn he whispered the word, I'm glad you're fine.

I don't know if I should say this, however, if Keith is this worried about me, does it mean, he now likes me or better yet, just fulfilling his duties as Kailey's brother.

I went back to my room.

Keith makes sure before leaving he kept two of his pack at my door outside.

He makes a decree that no one should gain access to my bedroom until the next morning.

I eavesdropped standing at the door, inside my room.

I heard his footsteps fading and I moved to my bed.

I tucked myself in and with everything going on, it seemed I wouldn't be able to have a good night's sleep at all.

The next morning, I got up with eyes bags under my eyes, there was a conversation going on outside, I stepped out of my room and met the entire mansion was filled with spooky decorations and flowers.

Is today Halloween or what?

I spotted Keith downstairs, he turns seeing me walk down with my eyes busy.

"Good morning Samantha?"

He pulls out a flower from the decorations and passed it to me.

"Good morning Keith, what's going on?".

I interrogated.

Keith tells me today was the moon ball festival at home, it's more like the coming together of his pack members and new ones too.

The moon ball festival always happens on a full moon and seeing it's going to happen today, there's going to be one tonight.

Mrs. Mathilda comes with ball gowns, she passed a dress to me and I held rubbing my hands around it.

Keith leaves as soon as he gets a call and went out with a few of his pack.

I looked at him with depressing eyes, Mrs. Mathilda noticed the way I looked at her son and decided to ask me a strange question.

She was like, do you like my son.

Immediately I turned looking like a lost puppy.

"I don't understand ma'am," I said blacking out the idea of her knowing about my feelings for her son, the alpha of the pack.

Mrs. Mathilda laughed and head out of the house, I don't think she knows right, because since I didn't tell her, she won't just speculate about it right? 

The same day, I got dressed for the ball, everyone all came with their masks on.

I walked in and immediately everyone stopped whatever they were doing and looked at me.

I don't know why they did, maybe is it because I am the only human there?

Do they know I am human?

A man walks out of the crowd and grabbed my hands.

He pulls me in and sniffed me like a creep.

"You're human, you're not one of us"

He yelled, creating a scene.

I pulled him away, I turned around to leave, but he takes my hand again, confronting me back to his eyes.

"Let go of me,"

I said 

He refused, grabbing my hands tight.

I searched for either Mrs. Mathilda or her son, Keith.

But non was anywhere found, or so I thought.

"What's going on here?"

Keith finally decides to show up 

He takes a slow walk, spotting my hands locked with the strange man I had no idea who he was.

"What's this uncle Ian, Samantha here is my guest,"

He comes, whisking my hands away and snatched behind, obstructing the vicious gaze of the man, he just called uncle.

Why are they so, put out of order with the idea of me being a human.

Aren't humans invited? 

I haven't attended this function before, I've only heard about it from Kailey and not gotten the chance to attend with her.

"Keith, do you know humans aren't invited to the moon blood festival,"

Ian says, swinging his hands up.

"So she needs to go,"

He added.

Keith packed his hands inside his pocket, he takes his head down keeping everyone in suspense.

I figured it was best I left, I turned around, just then, Keith takes my hand and said.

"You're not going anywhere, Samantha,"

He tells, locking his hands together with mine.
