After all, no matter how controversial his dating life is, he still gets a lot of projects. And that means she still earns big time because of him.

After Abby hung up on him, his phone rings again. This time, it’s his mom calling.

“Mom.”

“Son, what is this now? Are you not worried about your career? What if this affects your endorsements and projects? What will happen to me if you lose your job? I don’t want to go back to my old life, son. How can I ask you to-.”

“Do you need anything?”

Her mom got silent for a moment.

“C-can’t I call you just because I care for you? You, brat. But since you’ve asked, I suddenly remembered the gold jewelry set Amy showed me. It was so beautiful, son.”

“Just tell me how much it cost. I’ll send you the money later.”

Her mom didn’t even wait for him to talk and canceled the call right away. She must be very excited.

“You’re spoiling your mom too much.”

“I just don’t want her to worry over nothing. Have you heard the news?” he said looking at Mark, his driver slash bodyguard in the rearview mirror.

“What news? About the virus? I heard we have two positive cases already.”

“Not that one. About me, Mark. For sure everyone in the country knows it already. Even my mom’s aware of it.”

“Oh, that? Is that your way to check on your popularity? To get involved in scandals?” Mark responded sarcastically. Though Mark responded to him, their eyes didn’t meet. Mark’s eyes were still focused on the road.

“Is that your way of scolding me?”

“I’m just curious why you love dating controversial women.”

What Mark said made him laugh. That is why he loves talking with Mark. He’s just too straightforward.

“You know what, I really don’t know too. I’m just an attention seeker I guess.”

The last time he got into a dating scandal, it was with a model whose name was linked to a married politician. There was also an actress who was reported dating a married actor. It wasn’t his intention but he always gets drawn to women with complicated relationships.

He used to be a good kid. Too good that he didn’t say a word even after her mom sold him to a matron for money. He was violated at a young age but eventually enjoyed it that his body started to seek it.

“But seriously, you should stop meeting random girls. You heard the news about the coronavirus, didn’t you?”
