About Crossroads

Baltimore cop, Frank McGuire, turned in his badge the day his partner was gunned down during a bank robbery. It was the second time the scum of the city killed someone he loved. When Frank was ten years old, his father was fatally shot while serving an arrest warrant on a drug dealer. He’s had his fill of criminals and the corrupt court system. Now he’s a private investigator, intent on bringing the lawless to justice…his oft-illegal form of justice.

Frank has a leg-up on finding the worst of the worst, the one-off murderers and serial killers. Thanks to his precognitive abilities, he can commune with the dead, and sometimes the dead find him. Now, the FBI wants his help to find The Black Rail, a serial killer that’s turned the city inside out. Frank has a more pressing issue on his agenda…find the missing son of his dead partner.

Rand Brennan has an identity issue, exacerbated ten-fold since the death of his father. He’s dropped out of college and buried himself in the seedy bowels of the city hoping to find himself. The stupid kid has no idea he’s walked into a wolf’s lair of illicit drugs and unscrupulous people.

When Frank finds Rand, the kid will pay for all the misery he’s caused his sister and mother. Imagine Frank’s surprise when he discovers Rand is no longer the young boy from ten years ago, but a full-grown man, the clone of Apollo with a body sculpted by Bernini.

Lust between Frank and Rand ride the crest of the dangerous situation they’re embroiled in. Killing has just become very personal for Frank.

* The Crossroads series is scorchingly hot and blends mystery, suspense, romance and the paranormal. This book contains explicit language and sex between two consenting adult males.

* All four books in the series can be read as stand-alone gay romance novellas with the same characters, a happy-for-now ending and no cliffhangers.

Author's Note

Possible Spoilers**

The Crossroads Series is gay fiction romance. The main character, Frank McGuire is, at times, cold and crass with a slant toward violence.

Not every reader will like him. In fact, there might be times you really dislike not only him, but his abrasive personality. Frank is not an accident. It was the author’s intention to write his character in this regard.

Sometimes, it doesn’t take long for people to seek out redemption and find it.

With others, it takes longer.

Deep down, Frank is what we call ‘good people’. You’ll see it in the way his heart breaks for the children who are missing, for the compassion he shows, and genuinely feels, for the parents.

I hope you hang around long enough to see whether or not Frank’s relationship with Rand helps him crawl out of the cesspool he’s fallen into after his partner’s death. Rand is Frank’s yang, the light swirl, representing brightness, passion and growth, and Frank is Rand’s yin, the dark swirl, representing shadows and the trough of a wave.

Maybe at the end of the series, you’ll even come to like Frank.

Each novella can be read as a stand-alone with a beginning, a middle and an ending. You might even find a happy-for-now in each book.

Thanks so much for reading the Crossroad Series!
