Artemis bounced excitedly in the car, holding onto Elis. He thought it was so fantastic! The air, the colour, even the window! Elis didn't look to happy though...he looked upset. The boy didn't know why though, but this trip is so amazing to him! He really wanted to see what the house looked like, he thought it would probably be really big and tall with lots of windows!"So...you guys go outside often?" He quietly asked, messing with his fingers. Elis covered my mouth with his hand and shook his head, mouthing the word no. Artemis pouted and nibbled on his hand, making him pull away and roll his eyes...he hated having to make the ride even more awkward. But Artemis definitely liked going out, it let him look at all the cool ants!"Do you guys like ants..." He question, getting nothing again...'I don't like this very much...it's not fun!' Artemis thought to himself, settling down. 'Maybe I should just go back...'

He tapped Elis on the shoulder and asked him how long they've been driving. He got five minutes in return and slumped back into his seat, thinking about how long he would have to walk back."I-I don't think I should go with you guys...maybe this was a bad idea..." He said aloud, getting no response back..."No, it'll be okay. Everything's fine, we just to...chill."

The older boy said, patting Artemis's back. "We'll have our own room to share and everything, I'll even tell you bedtime stories before bed!"Artemis nodded, putting his hand in his lap and sighing softly.

He was right, they would enjoy themselves...even if they only had each other. It was all going to be okay, life just needed to calm down and take a chill pill."Yeah, your right. But I'm not eight years old anymore, I can sleep just fine...will you still tell me one tonight?"

He eagerly exclaimed, holding his breath..."Sure, I can make that happen." Elis calmly replied.

[At home]

Home! Home ! Home !, 'It's so big and there's lot of space and furniture, Artemis happily bounced around like a child. Woah is that a coffee machine, Too cool, Elis sighed and guided Artemis upstairs, closing the door behind him. Look around a bit he called back. Look Jacob, i am sorry, for everything i said.' Elis apologetically explained, awkwardly standing infront of Jacob.' You don't have to keep Artemis once i turn 18, I'll get a job and find us a place to live. '

Jacob kept a straight face and looked at Elis, it was an expression that he hadn't shown in a while.

'I accept your apology, and i apologize as well.' He quietly said. 'You can leave or stay it's up to you. I just want you to know that i still...'

Like me, Maybe? Elis asked waving his tail in the air.

'Yeah what about you ?' Jacob quietly said

'I never stopped liking you even when we were fighting.' Elis sadly said, 'I tried and failed miserably. I just need to get something of my set before you find out and get upset.'

He took a breath and put on a brave face.

A year ago..." He started. "I kissed Artemis...he was thirteen and I was sixteen. He was sad because he couldn't get a girlfriend...so, I kissed him. We agreed to being just friends and stayed like that from then on..."The other didn't really know why he told him that. It happened a year ago, so why would it matter now? That was the only confusing part. Was it supposed to upset him or something? I mean, he couldn't really do anything, it happened a year ago."Yes and? Your point is? I can't do anything about it, it didn't happen when you were mine." Jacob confusingly mumbled. ..."Yeah, I guess so...kay. So...we're good? O-or do I have to like, do something to make you not mad at me?" Elis quietly asked, looking up at the other."Well..." He started to say. "I'm not mad, but since you offered...I guess you could do a little, tiny thing for me."..."Fine, dumbass. What is it?" Elis begrudgingly asked, putting his hands on his waist."

First off, drop the attitude. Second...sleep with me." He plainly said, seeing Elis madly blush.The younger one groaned, pointing to Artemis's room. "I promised Artemis I would-" He was briefly interrupted by a scream."Elis! Come here! Spider!" Artemis yelled out..."Coming!" He yelled back, turning back to Jacob. "Let's go."The two get to the room and see Artemis standing on the bed, pointing to the ground. He was crying and everything. A sad sight to see, both for Elis and Jacob. First thing being; the spider was just a dust bunny. Second, Elis was too afraid of spiders to do anything but comfort Artemis." It...is a piece of dust Artemis."

Jacob quietly said, picking it up and tossing it in a bin. "See?"Artemis nodded and snuggled up onto Elis. He silently breathed out, falling asleep; crying makes him tired, even just a tiny bit. His body was limp against Elis, releasing his tight grip. Despite being fourteen, he acted like a small child...it was cute to Elis and Jacob, just like their own child."We should probably get to sleep...there's much to do tomorrow; the most important being getting you two to start school. I'll be homeschooling you both. Artemis first, then you."Elis pouted and snuggled the boy in his arms, kissing his forehead."How come he gets to go first? I thought I was your favorite!"

He complained, laying Artemis down."Well, aren't you a few grades ahead of him? He'll need more help than you." Jacob explained while picking the boy up and hauling him over his shoulder. "Don't be a baby~"Elis flicked his tail in the air again and groaned, loudly sighing afterwards."Ugh! I need a bath, and so does Artemis. And...you don't, damn perfectness..." He mumbled."Are you smelling me? That's kinda weird." Jacob quietly replied..."Pft, no. I just...noticed, that's all." Elis grumbled. "I don't do that anymore..."

Alright. Want me to throw you and Artemis in the bath?" Jacob mockingly questioned..."He can take one tomorrow, let's leave him be for now." Elis said as he hopped down and ran into Jacob's room, remembering its' scent.He instantly snuggled into the blankets and sprawled out on the bed, taking up most of the space. He loved the huge bed he had! It was so soft and comfortable, very nice for small naps.

"Goodn- *snore*..." ..."Okay then, goodnight? I'll be back, just want to make sure Artemis is still asleep." He quietly said, unwrapping the boy and laying him in a more suitable position.

He walked down the hall, into Artemis's room. The small boy was snoring, fast asleep; one arm across his face and the other lying off the bed. Both legs were bent the other way, and his shirt was slightly pulled up. The cutest little thing ever!Jacob silently picked him up and put him in a better position, one where he wouldn't hurt in the morning and where he wouldn't be too hot or cold. Artemis being Artemis, kept flipping and turning when Jacob was about to leave the room.'

He might have to sleep with us...' He thought to himself, picking the boy up again...All three were now in the bed, Artemis snuggling up to Elis, and Jacob comfortably sleeping on the other side.

It was finally perfect, just another boy in the house and child to care for, the only difference being the age. One acted like a moody teenager and the other acted like a child with the whole world to explore.
