"What is wrong with you Steve. Leave me..."kate said trying to push him but he only tighten his grip on her waist and more buring his face in her neck. His lips were almost touching her skin.." Leave me Steve ...What is your problem" Kate said almost yelling at him ...

Steve become frustrated at her continues struggle he pulled away from her neck and looked in her eyes. His nose was brushing hers...

"You. You are my problem. Why can't you accept me like others. Why are you kept on running away from me..." Steve said while kept on pressing her to him. Kate smelled alcohol. She understood that he's drunk..." Leave me Steve your drunk..." He chuckled at her reply " Yes I am...But not too much for not able to understand what I am doing..." Steve exclaimed... He was about to hug her again but this time she applied her all strength and removed his hands from her waist and took a step back...

Because of the dim lightening no one was able to see them. Mike was kept on trying to find kate and finally he saw her standing there but he clenched his jaw seeing her looking straightly in Steve's eyes. Even though she was glaring at Steve but still Mike didn't like it because she was still staring in his eyes. He was about to walk towards them but got interrupted by the host's announcement.

" Hello guys. So the results of tonight's balls queen and king have already came. So let me announce it and after revealing the king and queen. Both king and queen have to give us a small dance. Thank you..." Host opened the small envelope and announced the names.. "So tonight's king and queen are MIKE DAMON AND ROSE MILLER..CONGRATULATIONS"...

Mike cursed under his breath. He didn't want to dance with rose he only wanted to go towards kate and dragged her with him away from Steve but he can't do anything but to give others a fake smile...Rose also sighed in disappointment and walked towards Mike with a small smile. She wanted to dance with Steve but to her bad luck he didn't want to and when Steve doesn't wanted something then he will definitely get rid of it. Mike and Rose started to dance...But both of their eyes were on the other couple who were glaring at each other...

"Don't you dare to touch me again..."kate said gritting her teeths. She turned around and was about to walk away but Steve pulled her and backhugged her tightly holding her in his embrace. Her back was pressed harshly on Steve's chest. She again tried to remove his hands from her waist...

"Stop struggling you can't get away from me. But if you want to create a scene then keep trying..." Steve said in a warning tone. She stopped struggling and looked around. Everyone was dancing and they couldn't be able to see them if she silently accept dancing with him...Mike and rose was also dancing in a spotlight. And gaining attentions from the gathering was the last thing kate wants...

Kate stopped struggling and Steve smirked satisfied... He tightened his grip on her waist and buried his face in her neck again sniffing her scent..." Why. Why are you doing this"kate questioned him almost whispering..."You tell me why you accepted Mike instead of me ...hmm"

Instead of answering her question he questioned her while his head was still in her neck. She didn't answer him which made him angry "Answer me damn It" He said gritting his teeth "Answer my question first then you will get yours"kate said which made Steve even more angry...

She really likes to test my patience Steve thought to himself. Without a warning he turned kate around and grabbed her wrist. He started to drag her outside. Kate also let him to drag her because she have something in mind to get rid of Steve permanently.. Or thats what she thinks...

Steve pulled her in front of him after dragging her to the empty garden..."Answer me kate. Why you accept him instead of me. What he has and I don't. Tell me " Kate chuckled" There is many things that Mike has but you don't...You want to know what is the difference between you two then let me tell you"...Steve stayed quiet letting her to continue to her words...

"He's not a guy full of ego...I rejected him too many times but he never forced himself on me. But you did just after my one rejection..."Steve knew that she's right..." You want me to accept you right then fine..."she held her hand out for Steve to take it...He looked at her hand confused...

"Take my hand and bring me to the ball again... Tell everyone that I am your partner and you like me... If you did that then I will ditch Mike for you.."Steve was shocked at her request.. He gulped staring at her hand..kate smirked because her plan is going perfectly. She pulled her hand back and chuckled at Steve's expressions

"Now you know this is the difference between you and Mike. You care about your popularity more than anything. You felt embarrassed and afraid that what if someone saw you with me, A nerd then your popularity will be in danger. Right. And that's the difference between you two because Mike never cared about his popularity when it comes to me...he's not a coward like you... "kates words hit Steve real hard...

"What you think Steve. Those girls who is after you is because they love you no they are also just like you. Hungry for popularity. They don't love you for who you are but want you because of your looks. Your money and your popularity. And you being you Steve you also never cared for what they think about you. You just cared for what you want. And that's the difference between you and mike because Mike always cared for what I want" Kate knew that shes lying to Steve ..Mike never cared for what kate want if he did then he had left her alone a long time but he didn't...

kate have no option but to make Mike look like a hero so she get rid of Steve. She looked at Steve and sighed before again walking inside the ball hallway...Steve was just standing there looking at her disappearing figure.. He knew that whatever she said was right. It's a bitter truth and her every word was right even though Steve was trying to refused her words but he himself knew that her every word was real...

Kate was walking but someone harshly pinned her to the wall. She looked at the person and furrowed her eyebrows in confusion... "Mike"Mike cut her words and said something which shocked her...

"What were you doing with him.. Didn't i tell you to not let him come near you. Your really testing my patience katie"

Love indeed makes you crazy but if it takes a step ahead of craziness then it changes into something which urges the one to destroy everything even if it's his own self...
