Wolf and Beauty

ALIYAH.

"Is there anything left to buy?"

"I don't think so..."

"Alright then. I'll go buy some drinks. I feel thristy."

"Okay."

Niña left her seat and headed to the counter. I was left sitting on the chair I always sat on. I hate crowded places so the farthest seat at the corner of this cafe is my favorite spot.

I scanned my notebook to check the notes we've collected and see if we missed any detail about the report.

Well, about the report. It's something about...wolves? I mean who even teaches about that? I know it's weird but to be honest, my professor would have been a hottie if only he wasn't as weird as his lessons. Too bad.

A few minutes later, Niña came back holding two frappes on both of her hands. She placed one of them infront of me and started drinking the other one.

"Your treat?",I asked.

"Well... It's not that much.",she answered.

"I found a good friend."

We both laughed.

"Hey look, I found this somewhere in the internet. Read it.",she said while showing something at her laptop.

"When the wolf looks at the pillar's eyes, he'll fall inlove with her. However, if the two end up liking each other, it would be too dangerous for the pillar."

"What do you think about that?",she asked as if she have found something substantial to the report.

"I told you to look for facts, Niña...not fanfics."

"Oh...", she suddenly looks displeased. I really wanted to finish this report right away that I'm not in the mood to ride on her bland jokes.

We continued talking about the report and exchange ideas of how are we going to execute it during the presentation. But suddenly, in the middle of our conversation, a man entered the cafe and caught our attention.

"Hey. It's Louie.",Niña whispered.

He's Louie Montella, one of the most popular guy in our school. His looks are too astonishing as ever that I also stared at him for a moment.

His brown eyes that were slighly covered by his brown hair looks so deep that I immediately looked away when our eyes met. At first, he looks decent. But not until you see the bruises on his pale face and a usual band aid near his pink lips. I admit that he's handsome but he isn't my type. Well, it's not that I suit his ideal type either anyway so I guess it's a tie.

I don't need to feel guilty over not liking him.

"Handsome...but causes too much trouble."

"Didn't you liked him before?",I asked.

"That was before. I've never seen such a handsome guy until he transfered to our school. But as the saying goes... Never judge a book by its cover. I misjudged him. I thought he was nice, but he's nothing but a deliquent.",Niña answered.

I noticed Louie turning his head towards our direction. We're too far from the counter, it's impossible for him to hear us. But since were badmouthing about him, it's better to be careful. "Lower your voice.", I warned Niña.

"Why? We're too far from him. He can't hear us. Unless he's a wolf himself.",she then laughed at her nonsense joke again.

"I think we've researched enough, now that you talk about wolves."

"I guess so. How about we wrap up for today? I still have things to do before going home."

"Alright. See you at school tomorrow."

"Bye, Aliyah."

"Bye."

When Niña left, I started packing my things after finishing the frappe coffee. Niña really loves frappes so there's no week that I haven't eaten anything with frappe. Actually, I think i've eaten enough frappes for the next twenty years. After tidying up my things, I grab my bag and sling in on my shoulder.

As I walk towards the door, I sensed that someone's looking at me.

To my surprise, it was Louie. I tried looking at back and at my side but there's no one else near the door except me,

I shook my head to clear off the most ridiculous idea I've ever thought today and headed outside the cafe.

He looks so cold and scary. I can feel the sweat coming from my forehead along my cheeks.

I'm afraid that it wouldn't be so good to go to school tomorrow.
