Chapter 10

Tyler notices Khrystyna at her locker, reading, and attempts to avoid her.

“Hey Tyler.” Khrystyna calls after Tyler.

Tyler keeps walking to his calculus class, but Khrystyna continues to follow him.

“Tyler, wait!” Khrystyna pleaded. “I wanted to apologize to you for last night.”

“I forgive you, Khrys.” Tyler says, who was never able to be mad at his best friend.

“So, did you hear the news about Tanya?” Khrystyna asked Tyler.

“Yes, Jon called me from his jail cell.”

“Jon called you with his one call?”

“Well, he couldn't get a hold of his lawyer, so he called me and asked me to bail him out.”

“So what did he say?”

“That Tanya is charging him with attempting rape.”

“Jon tried to rape Tanya?!” Khrystyna laughs. “Tanya is such a liar. It's so obvious that she set Jon up for rape.”

“How do you know, Khrys?”

“Because she wants Marshall's sympathy!” Khrys shoots back at him. “Tanya is playing games with Marshall to keep him away from me!”

“You really think Tanya is just playing games, like she did with Jeremiah?”

“I know she is!”

“Get over it, Khrys!” Tyler tells her. “The world doesn't revolve around you!”

“You think I'm crazy?!” Khrystyna says, bitterly.

“Yes, I do.” Tyler tells her. “You just want to get Marshall back, so you used me to make Marshall and Tanya's night miserable.”

“I said I was sorry.” Khrystyna reminded him.

“Yeah, whatever, Khrys!” Tyler tells her, as he leaves her standing in the hallway alone.

Chapter 11

Khrystyna was all alone. Tyler has deserted her. And Tanya and Marshall were a hot item after her ordeal with Jon.

Tanya, I need to see you, right now!”

“Jon, I’m kind of busy right now.”

“I don’t care what you are doing, or who you are with, I expect you here at my house now, or I will tell everyone how you paid me to attack you!”

“Okay, Jon, I’ll be there as soon as I can.” Hangs up with Jon.

“Marshall, I have to cut our date short. My mother is in the hospital with chest pains?” Tanya lies, fake tears welling up in her eyes.

“Sure, Tanya.” Marshallsays as he gives her a kiss.

“Then, we’ll see each other later.” Tanya says as she kisses him good-bye and rushes out the door.

Tanya wants to know what Jon could want now. She paid him pretty damn well and he had better not screw up all she did to scheme to win Marshall from Khrystyna. 

Tanya arrives at Jon’s house, waiting for her.

“Okay, Jon, what is so damned important?”

“I need more money to keep my mouth shut after you lied and got me arrested!”

“Jon, I had to make it look real!” Tanya lied.

“You promised not to involve the police if I help you!”

“Well, it couldn't be helped!” Tanya lied again. “I really was scared!”

“You lying bitch!” Jon yelled. “Then I’ll let everyone in this town know that you paid me to attack you?”

“Like hell you will!” Tanya demanded. “We had a deal and you will stick by it!”

“The deal was not to be arrested!” Jon reminded her.

“Give me the money or I sing to my lawyer!” Jon demanded.

“Okay! When I get you the money, where do you want me to leave it?”

“Just put the money in this account.” He tells her, and hands her a piece of paper.

“I’ll go to the bank and have the funds transferred.” She leaves Jon’s house and goes home to get some sleep.

As Tanya is leaving Jon's house, Khrystyna steps out from the shadows and turns off her camera phone she used to record what went on between Tanya and Jon.

“Thank you, Tanya, so much!” Khrystyna says to herself, as she heads to Marshall's house to tell him what she found out.
