Chapter 7

Y A S M I N

Finding myself in front of Marwan building, i mentally scold myself  for what I'm about to do. I inhale a sharp breath before pressing the door bell. After standing for almost 30min, Marwan appeared with a scrowl on his face.

What's wrong with this man?

"Hey?" I find myself saying and it came out as a question but got silence in return. He left the door for me and walked away leaving me uncomfortable.

The silence of the room hung low which made me feel some uneasiness inside me. I need to get this over with and get myself out of this uncomfortable house.

"Can we get this done hastily, i have somewhere to be." I started.

He placed a cup of coffee and lean himself on the Couch folding his hands across his chest. "As you can see this is a serious thing also regarding my son so there are some rules to abide by." My brows creased in confusion.

"What rules?"

He excused himself disappearing to one of the door which i assumed must be his study room within a minute he came back with a file on his hands.

"Here's the agreement paper you should go through it, if you're okay with the rule then you sign." I scribbled through the papers, my eyes windening.

"What do you mean i will be with him 24hours a day, i have my life also." I confessed.

"And this rule No 5 too it's not acceptable." Tilting my body sideways i took a sip of the almost cold coffee. "You need to hear out my plan first before deciding Yours." He let out a small laugh while sitting himself again on the couch.

"Okay tell me your plan let's see if i can accept it." He said with the smile still not leaving his face.

"First the job will be part time meaning for a short period of time, as you don't expect me to be his nanny for my whole life."

"Second i will be coming during the weekend from morning till the time he sleeps."  "And lastly, I have my own job so i don't have time to take him to school and bring him back." With that being explained, i bring the cup of coffee to my lips with a smile on my face seeing his expression.

"Miss whatever you call yourself..."

"Is my name that hard to say?" I cut him off suppressing the urge to roll my eyes at his statement.

"Whatever, as you know Amir is a sensitive boy any small thing can hurt him so i will need you to be with him for at least 3 times a week it can be any day as far as you take care of my son without hurting him it's okay with me."

"I will try but i won't promise you i will always be available during the weeks and for your information, i have no motive to hurt a child and for that matter Amir."

"So it's finalized now, you may sign the papers." He declared passing me a pen.

"One more question before i sign, what about people? I mean what if someone sees me coming in and out of your house it will create some problems which I'm not ready to get myself into." He started into space for a while. "Don't worry there wound be no problems."

"So when Am i to start work?" I inquired.

"You can start any time, even now." I immediately shush him by glaring at him.

"I will start tomorrow, i think that will be all have a nice day Mr Marwan." I said walking away not waiting for his response.

Sunday came quickly. I decided not to tell Aunt about my new side job as I don't want her to start asking me questions.

The drive to his mansion is not that far from my house. The taxi man dropped me few miles away from his house. After making sure no one is seeing me, i went ahead to his house.

"Why must you take time before you open the door."

"What's your business, i have the right to take whatever time i feel like."

As if.

"There are some certain things you need to know before you start." He added.

"First the only place you are allowed to go is Amir room, the kitchen and the living room you are not to go beyond that." "And you're not to touch anything unless it's necessary, see that room over there? " he point towards the door he entered the other day. "That is my office, if you need anything while I'm at home you will find me there. I think that's okay for now."

"Amir-" just talking about Amir we heard his voice.

"Anty Yatmi" he came towards me and hug my leg since his height didn't reach mine.

"How's the little boy doing?" I leaned down to his level pincing his cheeks a little the way it won't hurt me.

"Fine Chocolate" I almost forgot about the chocolate. Thank God i have some inside my bag. A chuckle resonate out of Marwan's lips.

“Amir make it look like I don't give him enough sweets“

“Uh-huh, who knows“ I muttered but I know he heard me.

"Don't worry, I will give you the chocolate later for now tell me everything you did during the weekend." The clearing of voice brought us back from our world of revery.

"I will be in my office if you need anything and don't forget what i just informed you." With that being said he walked away. I shrugged my shoulder not bothered by his words.

"Now tell me"

**

It was past 10 when i decided to go back home. I've played enough with Amir and i must say the little time i spent with the small kid made me know him well. I wonder what happened to his mom. All the thought were running through my mind while walking towards the direction of Marwan office. Since the moment he entered his office, he didn't come out i wonder what sort of work he's doing even during the weekends. I was so engrossed with my thoughts, not knowing when i pushed the door open without knocking.

I gasped catching sight of something i didn't expect to see.
