Chapter 4: Who is this Angel?

-Xavier's POV

It's been almost a week since that night in the club and I still think about that woman with the angelic voice. I tried getting her out of my head with other women and it still didn't work. I finally gave up and tried finding her. I went back to the club to find her however each time I went she wasn't there. I finally asked about her and they told me she didn't work their anymore. They wouldn't even tell me her real name so I could search for her. Her long blonde hair, her amazing voice, those blue eyes, her smile... Fuck!

Right now I am currently setting in on another meeting with the Japanese investors who state they have a solution to our issues however I just see them spitting out more bullshit. Theo said it was important and that I need to hear their ideas out. I roll my eyes and continue to attempt concentrating on them when my assistant comes in.

"Sir I apologize however-"

"What have I told you about interrupting our meetings?" I ask holding up my hand at her.

"Not to sir but it's-"

"Whatever it is- it. can. wait." I glare at her daring her to challenge me. She bites her inner cheek and bows slightly leaving the room abruptly. I hear the door click shut and I look back towards the meeting gesturing for them to continue. The meeting goes on for another hour when I finally tell them we can continue later. They pack up there stuff and I look over at Theo with irritation clearly written on my face.

"Don't give me that look. They are still investors and even if it was complete and utter crap, we still have to listen to them." Theo says while gather the paperwork when my assistant walks in again. We turn our heads towards her.

"What is it?"

"Sir it's your son-" I stand up abruptly while I feel Theo's attention solely on her as well.

"What happened?" I ask walking towards her. She begins to fidget with her fingers.

"There was an accident and he has been taken to St. Jule's hospital. He-"

I don't even wait for her to finish the sentence before I am rushing out the door towards the elevator with Theo in tow. Theo calls someone on his phone to have someone bring a car around for us. We get to the lobby and jump into the car waiting outside who speeds off towards the hospital. I dial Leo.

"Hello sir."

"Leo, what happened?" I ask getting straight to the point.

"Luca fell of the pier this morning and-"

"HOW DID HE FALL OFF THE PIER LEO!" I roar into the phone.

"Sir, Luca asked me to get him a drink and he wanted to look through the binoculars however he leaned to far. I tried catching his attention but it was to late. Miss Heather-"

"Who. the. hell. is. Miss. Heather?!" I grit out clenching my teeth.

"She is the one who dove off the pier into the water to retrieve Luca. She has stayed with him ever since."

"You let a stranger stay with my son LEO!"

"Sir he won't let her go.." I go quiet instantly.

We pull up to the hospital and I don't hesitate to race in. I stroll towards the front desk with Theo behind me. I know he is afraid to say anything. I ask the lady for directions who is clearly trying to flirt with me which just pisses me off further. I begin to spat at her which makes her change her tune quickly. She gives me the direction which I begin walking away when I see Luca and Leo walking towards us. I run to my son and pull him into a tight hug. I pull back to look at him. My eyes wide in surprise. I look over to Leo for an explanation at what I am looking at. My son Luca is... smiling. I look back at Theo to see him looking just as surprised as me.

"Luca are you okay?" I ask timidly. He looks directly in my eyes still smiling. He nods his head at me and gives me a hug. I return the hug and look up to Leo who is grinning.

"I found my angel dad." He whispers softly in my ear. I rub his back and pick him up off the ground. I don't know what he is talking about however my son is smiling and that is not something I want to erase for anything. I walk us back out of the hospital and get in the car with my son and Theo.

"Luca, what do you mean your angel?"

"She rescued me and held me." He says still smiling looking at the window. He must be talking about the woman who dove in the water after him.

"Luca, can I see your head?" Theo ask turning his head towards him. I just now noticed a small bandage on it. Theo inspects it and nods his head towards me letting me know it was okay. I stop talking and just watch my son who now has a permanent smile on his face the rest of the way home. I can't even get him to hold a smile for a few minutes and it's usually a forced smile but here a total stranger was able to make such an impact on my boy.

We reach home and Theo takes Luca off to his room while I go to talk to Leo. I find him waiting in the living room for me with a drink in hand. I take it from him and sit down in one of the chairs.

"Alright Leo, tell me everything." I state intrigued while taking a sip of the bourbon.

"As I said, Luca was looking through the binoculars on the pier when I saw him leaning forward looking over the pier. I yelled for him but when he turned towards me, he fell off. Miss Heather was standing a few feet away and abruptly dove in after Luca. I ran down the pier and onto the beach to see him getting pulled out of the water. She began doing CPR on Luca and he abruptly spit out the water. When Luca saw Miss Heather he lunged himself at her and hugged her tightly... I've never seen him like that before." He whispers the last sentence more to himself than to me but I still heard it. I nod my head in understanding he is right, Luca doesn't go near anyone.

"So what did this Miss Heather want in return?"

"Nothing sir, she wouldn't even let the doctor's look her over until Luca was taken care of. Even when she had a gash on her upper arm from I guessing striking something while coming to shore."

"Did she state her last name?"

"No sir. All I know is that Luca has come to call her his angel... He seems fond of her." I nod once and he gets up to leave. I sit there for a few more minutes wondering what this woman could possibly want. No one is just kind enough to risk their own life for someone they don't even know. If she wasn't there, what would have come of my son? I shake my heads trying to forget about her and walk back up to my son's room where my son is still smiling. All I could think was...

Who is this angel?
