ARCHER

ARCHER

Last night was probably the best night of my life, and that is saying something, I usually attended parties in the night, and they were the bomb, but was better, Brandon and I got to see our mate again. I was excited, Brandon was more than excited. I woke up very early, earlier than I had ever woken up in my life. It was crazy, I still could not believe I found my mate. I rushed to the kitchen to get breakfast so I could race to school and find my mate.

"Someone is in a good mood this morning." Dad said startling me, I placed a hand on my chest to calm racing heart.

"Dad! You started me!" I said eying him, he just smiled from the rim of his coffee mug.

"A good morning to you too son." He said walking out from behind the kitchen island.

I cleared my throat, "of course I am in a good mood, I will get to see her again." At the mention of 'her', Brandon went ballistic, I had to control him, it felt like he would soon take charge.

"Calm down buddy, I want to see her too." I said smiling.

"I sense Brandon is impatient too." Dad said chuckling.

I chuckled, "yeah he is, you should have seen him yesterday in class."

Dad nodded, "He has been lonely for too long."

"Well, have some food before you run off to find her." Mom said coming down the stairs.

I smiled at her, "Good morning Mom, and I planned on eating cereal before leaving for school."

"Oh, but I planned on making sandwiches." She said.

"I would be late though." I whined like a child.

"Oh shut it! Stop acting like a two year old." Daisy snapped, she frowned as she walked down the stairs.

"I don't see how any of it is your problem." I countered with a raised brow.

"You found your mate, hooray! Now can we talk about something else?" She said sarcastically.

"It is a huge deal honey" mom said making the sandwiches.

"Is that jealousy I sense? Because I have found my mate and you haven't?" I asked her, smirking.

She opened her mouth, then shut it, then opened it once more. I guess she had nothing to say, I smirked at her, daring her to counter what I said and defend herself.

She just stomped her feet, huffed, grabbed her sandwich and went out the door.

"Who is acting like a two year old now?" I shouted so she could hear, and I knew she did because she groaned.

"Archie! Stop taunting your sister, you know how she has always wanted to find her mate." Mom reprimanded.

I rolled my eyes, "she started it."

"It doesn't matter who did Archie, you know she has always been desperate to find her mate, she knows it would be difficult, don't make it any harder." Dad said placing a hand on my shoulder. And instantly I felt bad, Daisy had always wanted to find her mate. But we all knew it would be difficult, since it was hard to find someone like her.

I grabbed my school bag and the sandwich mom placed on the table for me.

"I guess I will go and apologize." I said backing out of the house. My parents nodded and smiled at me.

I found her in my car, with her eyes closed but I was sure she heard our discussion inside. I opened the passenger door and got in. I scratched my left ear, not entirely sure how I would start the conversation.

"Hey...uh.. what I said in there..I didn't..I didn't mean it like that." I said awkwardly.

She didn't say anything, didn't even move, just sat with her eyes closed.

"Look, I don't know how to apologize to you, but I know what I said in there was insensitive." I said running my hand through my hair.

"I am sorry too, you found your mate, I should be happy for you not being bitchy. It's just..I always wanted to find mine, you didn't care about it. But you found yours first." Daisy said in a voice that sounded like she wanted to cry.

"Don't worry, you would find her, she is out there somewhere." I said patting her head.

"There are hardly any lesbian werewolves, for all we know I'm the only one, and I would probably end up alone." She cried now.

"I am sure the moon goddess made someone for you, she doesn't make mistakes." I said trying to console her.

"You are right, there is someone out there waiting for me to sweep them off their feet." She said brightening up. I smiled at her.

"That's it, smile" and she did.

She smiled wider, batting her lashes at me, I knew she wanted something.

"What is it?" I said eying her.

"Can I be the one to drive us to school?" She asked smiling too bright.

"Nope. Never. You will not touch my baby." I said crossing my arms.

She smiled again.

"I would help you talk to Ashley." She said in a sing song voice.

That piqued my interest, "How? You don't even know her." I eyed her.

"I have my ways." She said flipping her hair.

"Okay fine, don't wreck my car though." I said sighing already regretting my decision.

She did a little dance, clapped, sang before starting the car, and I regretted it even more.

"If I die today, know it was your precious daughter that killed me." I informed my parents through our family bond.

I heard my dad laugh and my mom gasped,

"Honey! Don't say such things!"

"I heard that!" Daisy said out loud.

"Just take us there in one piece." I said seriously. I knew her terrible driving skills.

Three almost accidents later, we got to school, I cursed myself for letting Daisy drive and cursed her for her driving skills.

"It wasn't that bad." She said rubbing my back as I was throwing up my poor sandwiches.

"You are never driving my car ever again." I said before throwing up once more. I felt her roll her eyes.

"Oh look it's Ashley! Let me go keep my end of the deal, come after you presentable." She said before dashing off. I saw Ashley, she looked so perfect. She was in a hurry, before Daisy 'accidentally' bumped into her. They talked for a bit, before her friends joined her. Daisy turned and came back to me.

"Did you ruin it?" I asked suspiciously.

"No! I came to ask what your next class would be."

"Geography"

"That's awesome! We all have Geography now. I will go first then once I give you the signal you come." She said going back.

"You can come, and don't stare like a creep." She said few minutes later through our family bond.

I just walked forward, Excitement and anxiety building in my chest.
