CHAPTER 5: CHANGE

"We're going to stay here for a while while you're like that. I cannot let you near humans unless I want a killing spree.' He said.

He has a house in the middle of the forest.

My first 10 years as a vampire was hell. I catch and drink the blood of every animal that I met in the forest after he teach me how to hunt.

At first I was not satisfied. I am craving for human's blood. But every time I remember my friend, the very first human that I killed, I lost the appetite. I was afraid that if I give in with my thirst for human blood... I could kill someone I know. I cannot let that happen to me again.

I stayed in the forest for another 30 years... he has to go back in town during the day. He worked as the CEO in a company in Korea. He comes to me every weekend. I learned how to hunt already, so he doesn't have to bring animal blood to me every now and then. He comes to bring different stuffs for me. Clothes, shoes... human foods.

I started eating human foods a week ago, he asked me to practice eating it... since I will be starting to deal with humans again. He's planning to take me, we're migrating to South Korea. He cannot stay in one place for more than a decade or his age might be doubtful to humans.

That is one of the reasons why I cannot go down in town... after 40 years, I still have the same face... I still look like an 18 - 20 year old boy...

I can't go anywhere... I have to tame myself first...

We spent another 25 years just roaming around... I need to get used to dealing with humans. I can control myself better now... even in the sight of blood.

The day came, when I have to face everything that I left behind...

We migrated... from North Korea to South Korea...

I am still using the same name... but different date of birth. I am now a South Korean native.

We have to fix everything... I needed to go back to school.

That's the only way for me to live... and one day I will go back to find them all.

End of flashback

That's when he found me at the top of this building.

"Woo Bin, we'll look for a school tomorrow" he said 

"Yes, father" I replied.

That's what he wants me to call him. We registered our names as father and son.

He is now Kim Min- Jun, he also shifted from being the CEO to a lawyer. It's not possible for him...or for any vampire. Vampires can easily adopt and learn things in just one seating.

As for me, he wants me to go back to school, that's another way to act human... I complied. I always follow what he says... this is the only way I can pay him back for everything he did for me... I am his son literally, his blood runs through my veins.

He doesn't have to work anymore... he's been working for more than 2 hundred years. He bought buildings, restaurants, hotels and condominiums even before we came here and it's all in my name.

He's been always a father figure to me... that is why I always comply. He survives because of me.

I am now in my room, I am living in a condominium alone. Near the school where I'll be attending to.

He doesn't want to live with me... but he comes every now and then just to check on me... he has his own condominium, he owns the building and I visit him on weekends and we go hunting.

It is not necessary for me anymore to hunt every now and then but not if I want to stay stronger.

I can eat human food to stay active and on the go... I still drink animal's blood... well it's my booster.

First day of school, it's my first day as a transferee.

I was already looking for my classroom when I bump with her.

She looks at me like she was about to kill me. I gave her that innocent look.

She gets inside with a smirk. Do I have to feel threatened with the way she looks at me?

The teacher comes and asked me to get inside with her.

She introduced me to the class...

I can tell that every girl here in this class wants to be my girl. The way they look at me it's like my clothes are being ripped and stripped.

Aside from her... she looked at me as if telling me "You're a dead meat man".

A little creepy... yeah... ha ha!

Does that make any sense?

I choose to sit at the chair beside her. She didn't even give me a glance. What do I expect anyway?

I looked at her...

I didn't even notice that I was already looking at her for quite a while.

Until she looks at me and twist up her brow...

That's when I realized that I was a bit dumb infront of her.

A classmate behind me kick my chair... then I look at him. He's trying his best to scare me.

Creepy? I didn't know that someone is feelung creepier than me inside this room.

Anyway, I came here to learn and act human. I know I am already over doing it.

Break comes...

Two of my classmates comes to me...

A little creepy if I may say. Well at least they want me to feel that way just to creep me out.

Should I give in? Or should I just ignore?

"Hey you! Newbie" he is really trying his best to scare me out. Literally.

Are these people on their right mind? I ask myself.

Do they really think I will be scared by them?

I chose to keep my silence... I'm a little bit bored by the way they scare people.

60 years had passed and nothing has changed... oh! I almost forgot, there is one change... they have their mobile phones now to take pictures and videos to scare you more.

One of them come to me and grab my collar, forcing me to get up.

I keep my hand on the table and almost break it. .. so I let go before I broke it to pieces.

He dragged me and set me on the wall... I am trying to keep my balance or the wall will crack.

I don't want to compromise my existence to anyone of these humans.

Everyone is taking pictures and videos to what is happening. Any bad move from me will destroy everything.

Many of them were laughing, it didn't even matter if I am way taller than them.

I was just looking at him waiting for his next move.

When I heard somebody scream..
