Chapter 6

This was definitely not where I had envisioned myself sitting today.

Which was in Alexander's office.

Sitting right across from him to be precise.

Tired from continuously staring at my hands out of nervousness, I gaze around where I am.

I take in the modern and stylish looking office.

The walls painted a crème whitish colour while all the furniture was black or dark brown.

The chairs were oddly comfortable while I had thought they would be hard and stiff.

What I loved the most was the huge ceiling to floor length windows which almost seemed like an office cliché of sorts.

And right smack dab in the middle of his very professional looking office was his desk which turned its back towards the windows.

Tired of looking from my hands then gazing around his office, I look straight at him.

He's typing away on his laptop not even bothering to acknowledge me.

Feeling awkward I clear my throat to catch his attention but he doesn't even look up from the laptop.

Clearing my throat again, a bit more loudly this time, he finally looks up.

"Is something bothering you Nora?
" he asks in the most casual tone.

Like he didn't just drag me from one floor to the next and then make me sit in complete silence in his office for a whole thirty minutes without saying anything.

Mentally rolling my eyes at him I answer back.

"Why am I here?
"

"You really are dense aren't you Nora?
And here I had high expectations from you," he says mockingly.

Grinding my teeth but not snapping at him, I ask him once again.

"You said I was to be your personal assistant or secretary.
What does that entail exactly?"

"It entails exactly what I want it to.
Which is you doing whatever I ask of you."

"I'm not going to have sex with you" I blurt out almost instantaneously.

Did I just say that?

I wanted to smack myself silly after I realized I had actually done so.

To my surprise I was greeted by laughter, which I found oddly relaxing even though it was directed at me.

The mirth was clearly visible in his brown eyes as he looked back at me.

Alexander briskly gets up from his seat and starts pacing around casually before he ends up right behind my chair.

I stiffen up in my seat, my heart racing a mile a minute.

He places both hands on my shoulders as he leans into me.
His warmth radiating off of him and onto me.

I can feel his lips touch the shell of my ear, and his minty breath fan my face as he leans in impeccably further

"No I will not be having sex with you Nora.
"

My stomach does a flip and knots up.
I clench my hands into fists as his lips go from my ear to neck.

"That is unless you want me too.
"

My mouth forming no words I just shake my head almost making my neck snap off by the fast movement

A laugh can be heard behind me as he turns to face me instead, leaning against the desk.

"Oh Nora, you're so innocent.
But you do know what they say about the innocent ones?"

I shake my head once more, sitting stiff in my seats.

"That they are the kinkiest"

Oh lord save me.

I was scared.

Not of him though but more of his words and how they weirdly intrigued me.

And never have I been intrigued by something or someone for that matter.

Laughing to himself once more, he opens his mouth to say say something else but gets cut off by a knocking on the door.

A woman's head pops through the small opening in the door before she enters fully.

The woman is in her mid fifties I'm guessing.
With her graying hair rolled up in a bun and wrinkles lining her face especially her eyes and mouth which showed she smiles a lot.

As if to prove me right she smiles down at me before looking over at Alexander and announcing that he has a meeting in ten minutes.

The playful and alluring facade was gone and instead the serious businessman took over.

Looking down at me, he tells me to grab a pen and notepad along with some files.

Standing up I look over at his desk which is bare of all things except his laptop.

Rolling his eyes at me, he goes over to the other side and bends down, rummaging through something.

Alexander hands me over all the things and starts to head over to the door.

"Um what should I be doing exactly," I ask him since he still hasn't told me just exactly what my job is going to consist of.

He stops short at the door and looks back at me, "Just follow me, write down everything I say in the meeting, and don't talk unless I say so.
"

"Well aren't you charming," I mutter lowly under my breath but unfortunately for me he hears.

Alexander just smirks back at me before he strides down the hallway without waiting for me.

Why does he always do that?

I quickly rush after him, just in time making it to the elevator.

Scowling at him as he casually leans against the back wall of the elevator.
He didn't even wait for me.

Standing beside him I groan inwardly.

Today is going to be a long day.
