đŻChapter SixđŻ
Slowly Rosy tip-toed as she descended on this wooden stairs, a bit anxious if Lili might woke up or her sisters. But she was sure, at this early hour, theyâre still peacefully dreaming on their cozy beds. Ever since, she woke up first to do her usual choresâbut today was different.
Iâm sorry, mother if I have to go today. Iâll be back soon. On her thoughts before she cautiously closed the door and hurriedly walked away. She heard the carriage to Sparsha will transport at six in the morningâshe better not be late.
As she passed through the woods, in haste. She heard all the animalsâ thoughtsâthey were asking Rosy why she was in hurry.
âSorry! Talk to you all next time, alright?â Rosy yelled to all the curious animals around the woods. They were very curious of where sheâd go that day.
âWhere to, young lady?â Luckily, it was almost a minute and the carriage that transports to Sparsha would traveled when she arrived. She was still catching her breathâshe ran so fast and was a afraid the carriage had left already. She thought she had no another time to be trained and equipped with skills she badly wished to have.
âIn Sparsha, please.â She then replied and got inside the carriage. Thereâs nobody yet inside and she was the first passenger.
The old man frowned as he heard where the young lady would wanted to go. âOh, thatâs way too far. Do you have enough gold coins?â The driver asked. She took out her coins from her red pouch and gave it to the old man to see. He smiled and meant that it was fair enough.
âErr, are these good enough, sir?â She didnât have anything to offer if that wouldnât be enough for the old driver to transport her to Sparsha. She needed the rest of her money for her to go back and of course, to pay her Witch Master.
âThat would be fine, letâs go then.â Rosy felt ease as the driver notioned. She was crossing her fingers that this long travel would pay all the effort sheâd done today although her conscience was pinching her. This was the first time Rosy had to leave the house without asking permission to her mother. That made her feel bad as she finally seen the sceneries outside the window as the carriage started to move.

âWeâre here!â Startled of the old manâs loud voice, she gasped after she woke up from a deep sleep. She then realized she fell asleep in the entire journey. âWelcome to Sparsha,â The old man chuckled as my eyes saw this huge gate opened.
Iâm here.
Iâm in the kingdom of Sparsha. Rosy both felt nervous and thrilled. She just hoped she could easily find this Witch Hunter in the Kingdom. The carriage stopped and the old man jumped off to open the door for her.
Cold air greeted her in Sparsha. âbest of luck, young lady.â The old man finally bid her farewell as she stepped out the carriage. âThank you! Be safe on your way back!â Rosy yelled and waved goodbye. That was so kind of the old man being honestâalthough she couldnât help not to feel skeptical at first. She heard multiple times about the horror of robbers in the village. She felt so lucky todayâand she thought this was a good day to start her luck!
So, where should I start then? Such a huge Kingdom indeed.. Rosy thought and Widowâs voice echoed coz her tiny friend was right. Sparsha was a huge kingdomâyet she was here, right? She raised her hope and faith while looking around and see where or whom she could asked about the address written on this crumpled flyer.
She was holding the flyer on her hand. She saw this bystander who seemed waiting for somebody. She approached her.
âExcuse me, by chance, are you familiar with this address?â She let her see and read the flyer.
âBusy Street, Market Road, Sparsha? Hmm.. Why, yes, that way.â The woman read and pointed the address was just few blocks away from where she was being dropped. Right!
âThank you!â She walked and look for posts or signage yet she failed to find it. Rosy asked an old lady whose a fruit vendor on the side of the road.
âDo you know the Witch Master who posted this flyer?â She asked hoping she knew a little of information about it. But her hope sloped down as the old lady nodded while reading the flyer.
âWitch master? Never heard about him here,â Said the old lady and went back arranging her fruits. But the woman said, the address was here. Rosy felt her sweat dripping even it was below fifteen degrees.
As she was about to turned around she remembered another name written on the flyer. âHow about Dwarfy? Do you the person?â Rosy asked again. The old lady glanced back at her side and by the look of her faceâRosy was becoming hopeful.
âDwarfy? There, those silly dwarves, eh? Over there,â She pointed this old carriage just twenty steps away from where she stood. Silly dwarves? Dwarfy is a dwarf?
âOh, thank you so much!â Rosy held the old womanâs hand and thanked her ten times. She almost lose her hope! She went to this old carriage covered with old satin curtain. Rosy knocked. Immediately small person yanked by this little windowâindeed, it was a dwarf. Like the old story of Snow White and itâs seven dwarves! Cute creatures..
Rosy gave him a friendly smile. âGood day, is Mr. Dwarfy here?â She asked him.
âYes, thatâs me. How may I help you?â Oh, itâs him! Excitement flooded Rosyâshe could see the Witch Master in no time and be trained, finally. Dwarfy clasped both of his hands as if getting ready for business deals with Rosy.
She then gave him the flyer and let him see it. âUhm, I read your flyer and I am interested to be trained as an apprentice of the Witch Master, am I late?â Hope not! I came from a very far away village! Dwarfy read the flyer with brows creasing. Rosy then noticed he had his fellow dwarves inside, like, two of them, all males.
âThe flyer? Ah, yes! Youâre definitely not late, Miss?â He suddenly realized after he read about the flyer and went out the carriage. He reached his hand for a hand shake.
âOh, Iâm Rosy, Rosy White.â She accepted it. Bet these dwarves were friendlyâso the old lady back there might misunderstood these little fellas here.
âNice to meet you, Rosy! Get in,â Dwarfy smiled and widely opened the curtain to let her in. It was a bit bigger than the carriage which transported her here in Sparsha.
âand weâll bring you to the Witch Master.â He then added. Rosy went inside and she was offered a seat by the other. Then the carriage started to move.
âI really hope he could help me with Witch skills, I need to train hard and I only have two full moons..â Rosy explained to the two of them. They nodded and seemed understood her dilemma.
âSure, he can help you! He had many apprentices,â Said Dwarfy here with so much pride on her face. The other seconded. Rosy noticed the carriage went out the kingdom, as if trailing back home. Outside the Kingdom was nothing but a vast land with trees and blooming flowers. It was so beautiful.
âIs this the place where he lived? I canât see, houses orââ Rosy asked and looked at the two who wore their grinning faces while pointing their knives at her!
Oh my!
âGive us your coins, all of it!â Dwarfy commanded Rosy while stepping forward towards her seat. Rosy felt so alarmed looking at the dagger they were holding.
âW-What are you doing?â She never thought this would come!
âHa-Ha, silly woman! Also, we need this wand!â Dwarfy took her visible wand out from her sling bag and also her pouch of coins.
âNo, please!â She begged to them but all of them just laughed at her, leaving her alone in the meadow. Thinking of what she just horribly doneâand Widow was all right of reminding her all the dangers ahead.
âW-What have I done?â I didnât listen and so this is my fate. Rosy hugged herself contemplating what she just did todayâall that she thought that turned out to be the opposite.
