The day we met

“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”Sameer read those lines and closed his eyes to compose himself. He reminisced about all the memories and incidents in his life. It didn’t matter if  they were good or bad but those incidents made him who he is today. 

He slowly got up from his bed, stretched his body and headed to the shower to kick start his day. He always believed that no matter what happens life should go on. This was why despite the many bad things that happened in his life, he was still alive and kicking.

After 23 minutes he came out of the shower to get ready for his office. Yes, Sameer Singhania owned a business named Singhania Industries 

Sameer's POV:

I am just tired of this routine life! I want to do something adventurous and crazy.

Hi, everyone! As you all might know, I am Sameer. Everyone thinks that a businessman like me has the best life. They can buy whatever they want because they have all the money in the world. Well, that might be true, but do you guys know what I crave the most in my life?

It’s love. I never had someone who loves me in my life. Oh! I am sorry I forgot to tell you guys that I am an orphan. I don't want any pity or sympathetic looks from you all. Though I am an orphan I studied hard and built this business on my own, and I have two best friends in my life- one is Rahul and the other is my diary. 

Before you guys give me those looks let me tell you it’s not necessary that only girls should maintain or write diaries. Since I was a child, when I had no friends and no one to share my feelings with, my diary was my best friend; and it still is. By the way I have named my diary as “My Dreams” because I have written all my dreams in it and I hope I will be able to fulfill all of them someday. But I don't know when that day will come.

Anyway, I have to leave to the office, guys or else Rahul will kill me. He has been calling me continuously but I haven't picked up. I know I am the CEO but I have an important meeting today and I still haven't left my house!

“At Naina’s house”

“Naina get up! Did you forget that you have an interview to attend today?” 

Hearing this Naina woke up with a jerk. She had actually forgotten about the interview and now she was freaking out! She immediately rushed to her bathroom to get ready as quickly as possible. Later she ran to her living room grabbing an apple in her hand and quickly kissed her mom’s cheeks as she headed for the door.

“Naina! Statue!” It was her dad. 

“Dad I have an interview! I am getting late”, she pouted. 

"That is why I stopped you. Come, I’ll drop you at the office. That way I can be assured that you have reached the place safely.” he smiled looking at her .

“That's a very sensible thought, dad!” she teased him 

“Pagal!” he smiled and went to grab his car keys.

 Naina’s father, Venkatesh Murthy, was the owner of Murthy Industries. He had built the company on his own and has made it to the top. He was a serious businessman to the outside world, but to Naina he was her best friend.. They did all crazy stuff together, and she always shared everything with him. 

“Outside the office”

After a certain time Naina was seen getting down the car in front of a top company. She bid  farewell to her dad and entered the company with a confident smile. 

Receptionist (welcoming her): Hello ma’am. How may I help you?

Naina : Hello! I have come here for the intern job interview. 

Receptionist: The interview has just started, so you can have a seat over there and wait your turn, ma’am.

Naina: Thank you 

She takes a seat and checks all her documents again to make sure she hasn't missed anything. 

After a while, when it was finally her turn, she took a deep breath and knocked the door before entering. 

Interviewer : Come in, please take a seat. 

She enters the room and takes a seat opposite to the interviewer 

Interviewer: So Miss. Naina Murthy? 

Naina: Yes, sir. 

Interviewer: Before starting the interview I want to ask you something. Why did you come to attend an interview in Singhania Industries when your dad already owns a company? 

Naina: Sir, I know my dad owns a company and that if I wanted I could have easily gotten a job there. But I wanted to do something with my capabilities. I have come here to attend the interview so that I get to know where I stand and the extent of my knowledge.

Interviewer: That is a very nice thought, and yes, you, can call me Sameer, since we haven't still started working together. Next question! Since you told me that you wanted to do something on your own, can you tell me why you chose Singhania Industries and not any other company?

Naina: It’s simple, sir. I mean, Sameer. I have heard a lot about your company. I’ve heard that this place gives a lot of exposure to the corporate world and I want a platform to expose my talents and enhance my skills by acquiring knowledge from a reputed firm like yours. 

Sameer: Last question. The corporate world is very competitive and you belong to a family which owns one of the top most companies in the country. So, if I select you for this job, how can you assure me that you will not misuse our company secrets? 

Naina: I can assure you that will never be the case from my side. Though I belong to a family which owns a reputed company, I have my principles and morals which will never let me do those things and I am sure that neither would my family appreciate me doing those things. 

Sameer: Good, my staff will contact you soon, Ms. Murthy. All the best! 

She smiles and leaves his cabin. Sameer has a smile on his face, he liked the way she carried herself and the confidence she had and was pretty impressed with the answers she had given.
