The Alpha's Angel Prince

Chapter One

Life is full of unexpected surprises and it can either be good or bad for you. There are choices to be made, duties to be done, dreams to reach and prophecies to be fulfilled that may affect the way you see life. One day you are just a normal human being, living well and working on your own and the next thing you know, you have a one-of-a-kind journey to go through that can either be your way to success or door to death. Just remember, a misunderstanding is always the biggest bummer.

"Hush now my son. You will be safe here and these people will take care of you. You shall grow up to be a brave and loving young man. I will be back once I figure out where everything went wrong and until then, you shall be away from danger. I love you, Athirio."

As she gently lied the baby down on the basket who giggled, unaware of his mother's heavy heart, Agatha wiped her tear-stained cheeks and gave the boy a soft kiss on the forehead. This was the only way she knew to keep the boy safe until he was ready to face the enemy he was destined to defeat. She knocked on the door of the St. Adamson Orphanage and left. The door was opened and the two nuns gasped at the sight of the poor baby boy who was left alone. The nun gently took the baby in her arms as her sister read the letter that was attached to the basket.

Please take good care of my son. He is only innocent and not ready to face this cruel world we live in. Kindly let him keep the necklace as it shall serve as his protector while he grows up.

Yours truly,

Mother

"What a lovely boy you are. What should we name him sister?"

"Daniel. We'll name him Daniel"

PRESENT DAY

"Here's your Chocolate Rainbow cake, thank you for coming! Please come again."

The girl smiled as she took her order from the good-looking employee, placing a tip on the counter before she left. The boy on the other side of the counter waved goodbye at the last customer of the morning period. The sweets and desserts bakery named Happy Sprinkles was empty for it was almost twelve noon and nobody really goes to a bakery for lunch. The sun was up and shining in all its glory that it made everyone complain to themselves at the brightness that kept hurting their eyes. It was so hot outside that you could see sweat forming in their bodies and the horrid smell of body odor evaporating back to the sky.

Daniel found himself hungry after his stomach grumbled, making him pout to himself. Smiling, he called out for his boss who was also his roommate and best friend for about 5 years already. He sat at a chair, brushing both of his hands through his sweaty brown hair.

"Mom, I'm hungry! Let's eat!"

On cue, a short Korean man with dyed pink hair came out of the kitchen door and removed his apron off. Noah held two bags of delicious rice and meat that he prepared earlier for them to share. He had a scowl on his cute face while he sat at the chair opposite to Danny so they were facing each other. It has been their routine for years, ever since they decided to start this business together. Having his own bakery has been Noah's dream and he made it his number one priority ever since he left Korea with his rich aunt. It wasn't easy, adapting to a foreign environment and learning English just so you could communicate with others but Noah did his best and eventually, his dream became the reality he always wanted.

"Danny, how many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me mom? I'm a manly man so stop it before I shove a cake in your mouth."

"Oh please Noah, you cook like a mom, speak and act like a mom. You even manage to look so adorable at the age of thirty. And you're only what? Like, 5 feet tall!"

Daniel joked as he munched on his potatoes, earning a glare from his best friend. As much as he enjoyed teasing the other, Daniel has always been thankful to Noah. He was the one who took Daniel out of the orphanage five years ago when he was still fifteen and taught him all the basic things to know in life.

"For your information mister Daniel Evergreen, we have the same height so you're not in the right place to say that."

Daniel rolled his eyes at the older and shook his head. Noah was still so oblivious at the cuteness he possessed and Daniel never gave up on teasing him about it. Customers always complimented Noah's recipes and some even came regularly just to get a taste of something new and delicious.

"At least I'm younger and they always said the older ones should adjust to the younger ones."

"Fine, but still, you could've at least called me dad instead of mom."

Noah huffed and smiled anyway as they continued to devour the delicious homemade meal that Noah flawlessly prepared for the both of them.

"They won't be happy about the idea of someone else calling you that. I might end up getting beaten for all I know."

And as if the devil patted Daniel's back, he just realized what he said. He cautiously looked at Noah and saw a small smile on his face but his eyes displayed a completely different emotion. The memory came back in a flash, making Noah sigh.

"I wonder how they are right now. What are they doing? Are they still at school? Or are they working? Ever since the day I lost them, I always kept thinking about those things. I just hope they're safe and happy wherever they are."

Noah poked at his food, losing his appetite at the mention of the painful memory. Daniel held Noah's hand on the table and squeezed it comfortingly as he smiled at the older. Daniel felt something shoot through his brain and as if he was some wise man, his mouth started moving on its own and brought out sincere words as if he had been with Noah and the people they were talking about all along. This always happens when he holds Noah's hands.

"I'm sorry for mentioning it but I know that they love you with all of their hearts. I can feel it. I can feel your heart. I can feel your love for them and the connection that you had. Trust me, they love and miss you. Just don't lose hope. You'll see each other again, soon."

They both smiled at each other. Noah always wondered how Daniel could act like a dork then switch to a very sincere and caring person in the blink of an eye, not that he's complaining about it. The twenty year old boy was only fifteen when Noah met him at the orphanage. He was thin and looked sick but he had such a brave soul that it made Noah take him out of that place and give the boy a more comfortable place to stay. They finished eating and got back to work. Daniel was at the counter with his apron while Noah was at the kitchen, cooking a new batch of cupcakes because someone actually bought a hundred earlier for a party.

Customers came in and out of the shop. Some faces were familiar to Daniel while some were new, exploring the flavors of Noah's incredible recipes. Daniel was writing down some of the take outs when he heard too familiar voices that called his name.

"Danny! We're here! "

A tall boy with gray eyes and pure white hair yelled, catching the attention of some diners. He was not too muscular but not too skinny either and his face screamed handsome. He was a very talkative guy, the total opposite of the other guy beside him.

"Good afternoon Blade. Nice to see you today, you too Ryder! The usual?"

Both boys nodded. Blade, the gray-eyed boy pulled Ryder to a table and they both sat. Ryder was so different from Blade that Daniel sometimes wondered how they even became friends. Ryder had dark eyes that could be mistaken as black if you didn't look close enough. He had muscular biceps and you could see the outline of his abs from the tight shirts that he always wore. His look could be labeled as a Greek god because of his sharp jawline, thick but defined eyebrows and intense gaze..

"Do you guys want to help us after you eat? The shop is pretty full. Noah and I need all the help we can get."

"Of course Danny, we're your best friends and protectors, we'll always help you."

"Thank you! I have to go work now."

They waved goodbye as Daniel got back on the cashier table. The boy always questioned himself why Blade and Ryder refer to themselves as 'protectors' but he always ends up just shrugging it off as his best friends being over-protective. The two were the first ever customers of Noah and Daniel when they opened the bakery and since then, Blade and Ryder kept coming until they considered themselves as best friends.

The day passed by as all of the four boys worked together just to not have even a single customer complain. Blade and Ryder, mostly Blade, even used their charms and got extra tips from customers that took a liking to them. Blade did the talking and got extra cash while Ryder just had the same cold look he always had but still got more tips than Blade. At six pm, they all sat as they waited for Noah to get ready to go home. He was in the kitchen all afternoon, cooking everything he needed to cook, perfectly nailing them one by one. They never really thought about hiring others since Noah had trust issues after the incident that took place five years ago. They all looked up as they heard soft footsteps.

"Noah! You didn't tell me you colored your hair pink! It's cute on you!"

Blade ranted out as he put his arm over the shorter man's shoulder who scowled as Blade's sweaty arms made contact with his shoulder. He removed the arm from his shoulder, earning a fake hurt expression from the other as Daniel laughed to himself.

"See? Noah and I got prettier hair than you. Danny's is a boring brown and Ryder please, I know you look good in black but can you try dark blue? Please?"

Blade continued to rant as Daniel locked the door of the shop. The two taller men guided the shorter ones to their two-bedroom apartment room and bid goodbye after. The remaining two other boys got inside their separate bedrooms, showered and changed into pajamas. They talked and spent the night watching a movie in the living room. It has always been chaotically peaceful and even though Noah and Daniel thought it couldn't get any better, they both secretly knew that there was still a missing puzzle piece.

It was almost midnight when they decided to get some rest. Both were on their own bed and snuggled a pillow, falling into a dreamless sleep.

It was the last night where everything was still normal.
