Chapter Six

The telephone rings. Logan answers the phone. Charlie said, “Please don’t hang up. I need to talk to you. I can explain. Jennifer wanted her parents to think we were engaged. Jennifer and I were only friends. You know how she was. She never gave up on her love for me. I want to be with you. I always have.

Sandy walks into the room and hears Logan talking to Charlie. Sandy says, “I will talk to you later. “She then hangs up the phone. She did not want Sandy to know that she was talking to Charlie. Sandy did not approve of Logan having a relationship with Charlie. She knew Charlie would only hurt her.

Logan was still in love with Charlie and believed him. She goes into her bedroom and calls Charlie. Charlie and Logan talk on the phone for hours. Logan agreed to go on a date with Charlie. Logan would meet him at the restaurant. She did not want Charlie to pick her up at home. Sandy would know that they were going on a date.

Logan meets Charlie at the Serenity Greek Restaurant. The restaurant is small with a serenity atmosphere. There was a waterfall in the middle of the restaurant. The patter of the water gently flowing down the rocks is relaxing. They filled the room with candles to create a soft lighting. They secluded the dining tables for privacy. The server delivered the menu to the table.

Logan ordered Garlic Shrimp Souvlaki. Jumbo shrimp, rice pilaf, feta fries, and Greek Lemonade. Charlie ordered Australian Lamb Souvlaki. Leg of Lamb, rice pilaf, feta fries, and Greek Lemonade. While eating their dinner. Charlie convinced Logan to continue their relationship. Jennifer was no longer here and could not interfere anymore.

Logan and Charlie leave the restaurant. Sue walks up to Charlie and hugs him. She is excited to see Charlie. It had been a long time. She was visiting her grandmother for the summer. Charlie looks at Logan and introduces Sue as a friend. Logan leaves to go home. Charlie and Sue go back into the restaurant to talk. While in the restaurant, Sue questions Charlie about his relationship with Logan. Charlie tells her that Logan is a classmate assigned as a partner on a science project and they were discussing it.

As the night continued, Charlie remembered the wonderful times they had while Sue was visiting her grandmother. The summers are always a special time. Every summer, Charlie would spend his time with Sue. The state fair was in town. Charlie asked Sue to go to the stated fair with him tomorrow night. Sue accepted the invitation. Every year, they went to the state fair together.

They enjoyed a night at the fair. It was the night that memories were made. Memories that would last a lifetime. They stood and watched the Farris wheel go around and around before riding it. While at the top of the wheel in the sky, they could see all over the fair. As they reached the top, the loud music quieted down. A soft gentle wind was blowing on their face. The wind on their face felt cool and relaxing.The memories of the previous summer crowded her mind. It filled Sue with the urge to kiss Charlie. She knew that this summer would be like the rest. She looked forward to her summer romance with Charlie every year. It only lasted during the summer, but filled her heart all year.

The summer filled Sues heart with warmth and love. A love she always shared with Charlie. Charlie made her feel loved. She kissed Charlie passionately. The warmth filled her body as she enjoyed the kiss. It had been a long time since she had been with Charlie. Charlie was her first love. She remembered the day she lost her virginity to Charlie. They spent the morning watching the sunrise over the ocean. It filled the sky with orange, red, and yellow. As the sun rose in the sky, the sunlight made the water sparkle like diamonds. The glittering water brought a smile to her face.

As the daylight hours passed, the sun set. It felt like the hours of the day were only minutes. Minutes and hours that had passed by too quickly. Sue never wanted the day to end. As the moon lit the sky, the stars twinkled. Sue knew the night would pass as quickly as the day. The beach was closed. Everyone had departed the beach except Charlie and Sue.

Charlie and Sue sit on the blanket and enjoyed a refreshing drink. Charlie held her face in his hand and pulled her lips close to his. The moment their lips touched, Sue closed her eyes. It took her to another world. A world of enjoyment and lust. She had never experienced it before. As he kissed her, he began gently stroking her breast. He slides his hand gently down her side to her side. Soon he removes her swimsuit and the magic being. He loved her in a way that she had never felt before. She never wanted the night to end. After the intimate experience, she fell asleep in the Charlie’s arms.

Sue felt the heat from the sun as she awaken for the day. They walked on the shore and she remembered the night. The most wonderful night of her life. A night she would never forget. A love she never knew could be possible. Charlie loved her. Charlie held her hand in his as they walked along the shore. She heard the waves crashing on the beach. The most beautiful music she had ever heard. The warmth of the sand between her toes reminded her of the warmth in her heart for Charlie. She wanted the day to continue. She did not want to leave Charlie. He took her home.

The day and light had passed. Logan never crossed his mind. Nothing else crossed his mind except Sue. He wanted to rekindle the relationship. The summer romance they shared every year. The only true love in his heart. He had loved other but never like Sue. Sue was the one that he dreamed about. Sue was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. She was his soulmate. She was his past, present, and future. The other girls were just filling the loneliness. The loneliness of wanting to be with Sue and missing her. No other girl could ever compare to Sue.

Charlie could not wait to see her again. The night at the fair was great, but he wanted a night filled with passion. Sue loved him like no other. He called Sue on the phone and asked her to go to the beach. She accepted the invitation. He knew that being at the beach was romantic and it always ended in her arms. The arms he longed to be in. The intimate night that they would share. Charlie picked her up and, on the way to the beach, they stopped at a small diner outside of town. While at the diner, Logan and Sandy walk in. Logan could say nothing to him. If she did Sandy would know she started dating him again.Charlie did not acknowledge Logan's presence. Logan said nothing. Sandy would think Charlie had a new girlfriend. Charlie knew Sandy wanted their relationship to remain a secret. It gave him greater privileges. It allowed him to see others.
