Tender Love A Story about First Love

Chapter One

Logan, a new girl at school, walks into the room. Everyone stares at her. The girls give her an unwelcoming look. The boys look at her with smiles on their face. She feels uncomfortable about the stares. The first day of High School and everyone has already judged her without getting to know her. As the week passed, the boys were friendly to her and wanted to be her friend. The only girl that talked to her was Lisa. The other girls talked about her. She is beautiful and the girls are envious of her. She walked into the class and Charlie asked her to go to the movie with him in front of the entire class. All the girls started laughing at her. She ran out of the room, embarrassed.

Lisa followed her out of the room to comfort her. They hurt Logan, mad and upset. She had never been so embarrassed in her life. As she stood in the hallway. The laughter from the room echoed through the school. Lisa was friends with Charlie and could not understand why he asked her in front of the entire class. He should have asked her in private. She was too embarrassed to tell him she wanted to go to the movie with him. Lisa offered to talk to Charlie after class and let him know she would go to the movie with him. Ms. Sanders, the teacher, walked out into the hallway to check on Logan. She did not feel comfortable talking to the teacher about the situation. Ms. Sanders felt bad and wanted to comfort her. Logan refused to talk to her. She instructed the girls to return to the class.

After class was over, Lisa informed Charlie that Logan wanted to go with him to the movie. However, she was too embarrassed to tell him. Charlie started laughing. He only asked her on a date because his friends dared him to. Lisa did not have the heart to tell Logan a cruel trick was played on her. Lisa was now faced with convincing Logan not to go on a date with Charlie. She was told if a boy really wanted a date with her. He would have asked her in private. She agreed to wait and see if he asked her in private.

Charlie was in her Life Management Class and sit in the seat behind her. When it was time to complete the family assignment, Ms. Sanders assigned them as partners. The first assignment was making a budget. I gave them five thousand dollars to buy things for the family. Charlie wanted a boat to go fishing with his friends and outings with his family. Logan wants to go on a cruise. The two have different interests and must compromise. Part of the assignment was learning to manage money for the benefit of the family. Ms. Sanders explained to them that this was not what the money was for. I instructed them to redo the assignment. The two of them realized what the assignment was about. They agreed to buy furniture.

As the class continued, it got more complicated. Their next assignment was to plan a wedding. The class would pick the best couple and have a mock wedding. I gave them a budget of four thousand dollars. That would include the wedding gown, suit, ven0ue, cake, and any other items they wanted. Charlie wanted an outdoor wedding and Logan wanted a church wedding. They had to research the price of the items. The outdoor wedding, Key West Florida Beach, cost two thousand two hundred dollars. The package would include Ceremony on Smither Beach, Minister and Filing of wedding license, Champagne Toast, Bridal bouquet, and boutonniere for the groom. Rose petal aisleway for the ceremony. Tiki-torches or lanterns, Aisle runner, conch shell and starfish decorations. Bamboo canopy decorated with tulle. Thirty bamboo tables and white folding chairs. Speaker to connect iPod for ceremony music. Picking and designing a style. Help with places to stay, activities and tours. Fresh flowers for the canopy décor. Trolley transportation for up to forty passengers or a limo for one hour. Charlie pictured in his mind how beautiful the wedding would be. The sun setting in the sky would supply a romantic atmosphere. The sound of the seagulls singing and flying in the air. He could not imagine a better place to have a wedding. It was perfect. His family owned a beach house in Key West Beach, Fl. That would be perfect. His parents and his siblings could stay at the house. They could get married in beach clothes like a shirt, shorts, and sandals. His sister could bake and decorate the wedding cake. They would still have money left for the honeymoon.

Logan wanted a church wedding. A wedding ceremony under God is not for sale. Couples give donations to the church. For couples that grew up or are regular members of the church, the donation could be minimal, an average of two hundred dollars. Couples who are not members donate between four hundred to two thousand for a church ceremony. The average donation varies depending on the city and type of church you want to get married in. This is without the fee of the organist, décor, and any other necessities you need. Churches cover this part in the package. You must pay the musicians to play at your wedding. They will charge between three hundred and nine hundred depending on the number of musicians. The couple will have to supply the decorations for the church. They include flowers, ribbons, bows, candles, signage, and any other decoration the couple wishes to have. The flowers for the wedding will cost about two thousand dollars. Logan always dreamed of walking down the aisle in a beautiful wedding dress. Logan wanted to spend about one thousand dollars on the wedding dress.

Logan and Charlie had a small wedding in the cathedral. Logan wanted to be married in the beautiful Catholic cathedral. The cathedral had mahogany seats. The windows were stained glass. The sun shining through the windows resulted in a beautiful reflection. They built the architecture of the structure to accommodate worship the builders wanted it to point to, and honor, God. The cathedral had a distinctive design. They lay the unique aesthetic out in intricately carved stone pillars and thrust as a wooden steeple. The cathedral is a God-inspired design simultaneously shows the purpose of the church. It draws people in through an appreciation of the beauty. It is one of the most majestic. The architectural beauty cannot be matched. It has a diverse array of vivid colors; The cathedral is a visual splendor to see. Logan knew the cathedral would make a wedding special. With the natural beauty of the cathedral, there would be no need for decorations. As she was preparing for a wedding in class, she realized a cathedral wedding would be the wedding of her dreams. The class voted for the couple for the mock wedding. Logan and Charlie were chosen. The class could see that they had a feeling for each other. It was obvious when seeing their interactions with each other. The chemistry between them was magical.

As the weeks passed in the class, Logan and Charlie became close. Charlie asks Logan to go to prom with him and she accepted the invitation. She lived in a trailer park and the girls referred to her as Trailer Park Trash. Her family was poor. She hoped to borrow a dress from her friend to wear to prom. This would be the first time she ever went to a dance. It had to be perfect. Having the right dress would help. She could not afford to buy one. Lisa did not have one she could borrow. She went to all the local stores and checked the clearance rack. She could not find an affordable dress. She then shopped the thrift stores. All the dresses were the wrong size, and she could not wear them. She was going to have to tell Charlie she could not go.

Lisa informed Logan about a nonprofit organization, Becca’s Closet, which supplied gowns for girls that could not afford one. Becca, a sixteen-year-old cheerleader, honor student, and caring young woman, passes away in a tragic automobile accident in 2003. Her family and friends not only remember Becca for her great love and friendship, but also for her contributions to the community. In the Spring of her first year, Rebecca launched a dress drive to supply prom dresses and accessories to schoolchildren who could not afford to buy them. Rebecca was an enthusiastic, bright, fun-loving young woman who loved being with her friends and felt that no one should miss a high school event because they could not afford to be there. She saw the inequity in the situation and looked to change things. During the Spring of her sophomore year, Becca single-handedly collected and donated over 250 dresses and helped girls to attend their High School Proms in style.

Finding a prom dress you love is no doubt one of the most important aspects of prom. You want your dress to be perfect in every way. You want to love the style and color, but it must fit you well. Most formal dresses run small, so rather than focus on the actual size of your dress, look for the best fit possible. Even if you absolutely love a dress on the hanger, if it does not fit your body well, it will not be comfortable, and it will not look as good as the right dress should.

Prom dress shopping is one of the most fun parts of preparing for prom night. You get to enjoy spending time with friends, shopping and trying on so many dresses. Logan was looking forward to spending the day with Lisa. She had to choose an outfit that was easy to change in and out of. She decided to not wear makeup, because she did not want to get it on a dress. The advantage of being hidden under most dresses is that she wore a strapless bra. She could get a better idea of the dress bodice.

The theme for the prom is Enchanted Forest. Green, green, and greener are the key to the theme. They transformed the gym into a gorgeous magical forest with moss-covered floors and vines hanging from the ceiling. It looked like a fairy could fly in at any moment. Logan needed to find a beautiful green dress. Logan found a forest green ball gown. The dress featured an off the shoulder neckline with a fit and ball gown silhouette. The dress featured satin to highlight the design. The full-length ball gown train was distributed with a lace design for a look that is both uniquely modern and traditionally romantic. When she put the dress on for the first time, she felt like a goddess.

She was now planning for the big night. Her first date, first dance, and first date with Charlie. He was coming by her house to pick her up at 6 o'clock. They were going out to dinner before the dance. She was excited and ready for her date. The time seemed to pass slowly while waiting for the magical night. She had never felt beautiful before. She was wearing her prom gown, a jade necklace, ring, bracelet, and forest green shoes. For the first time in her life, she felt beautiful. Everyone except Logan knew she was beautiful. She was always self-conscious about her body. She was tall with large breast. She always wore a jacket to hide her breast.

Charlie arrived at the door to pick her up for the date. He looked at her like she was the most beautiful girl in the world. He had a smile on his face and would be proud to be seen with her. She is a knockout. When Logan looked at Charlie, she smiled. He was handsome. He gave her a corsage to wear. It filled her heart with joy. She had never received flowers before. This is a magical night. A night like she only dreamed of. It is too good to be true. He opened the door for her to get into the car. He is a perfect gentleman.

They arrived at the prom. Charlie opened the door for her and held her hand as they walked to the gym. When they walked into the door, the music was loud. Everyone was on the dance floor dancing. Charlie escorted her to the dance floor for their first dance. She was nervous. This was her first dance. She had practiced at home with her father. She only hoped she would not step on his toes. As they were dancing, her dress was trilling, just as she had dreamed about. She felt like Cinderella at the Ball with her prince. They danced all night, and she did not want the night to end. It was perfect. She still could not believe it was true. This was a High School year she would never forget.

The dance was over, and now her wonderful night would end. Charlie took her home. He walked her to the door. Then gave her a gentle kiss and caressed her body with a hug. She never expected to receive a kiss. Her father opened the door. Charlie feared what her father would say or do. He wanted to take a picture of them. They walked into the living room, posed for pictures in front of the fireplace. Her dad took the picture. The picture could never capture the way Logan felt. When she sees the picture, it will bring back memories of a wonderful night. She walked Charlie to the door. He told her about the wonderful time he had shared with her. He asked her if you would go out with him again. Logan looked forward to their next date.

Logan went to school the next day with a radiating smile on her face. She was experiencing the feeling of first love. Logan found the first person she ever wants to be with. The first one she ever had feeling for. She looked forward to seeing him and wanted to spend time with him. As they danced the night away, she felt a connection, a special bond, with him. Charlie is her soul mate. She knew there would always be a place for Charlie in her heart. It was love on the first date.

The next day at school, Jennifer, Charlie’s ex-girlfriend, approached Logan in the restroom. Jennifer accused her of taking Charlie away from her. Jennifer continued the conversation, saying, “Charlie only asked you to go with him on a date, because his friends dared him. He is only using you. You better enjoy your time with him now. It will not last long. He loves me and will never be happy with you. When we have an argument, he always does this. He finds someone else to make me jealous and then comes running back to me.” Logan was heartbroken, and wondered if Jennifer was telling her the truth. Logan could not wait to see Lisa. She needed someone to talk to. Lisa had attended school with Charlie since fourth grade. Lisa would have the knowledge to tell her the truth.

Logan was undecided if she wanted to tell Charlie about the incident or not. Logan saw Lisa after school and questioned her about Charlie and Jennifer. They informed her that Jennifer had had a crush on Charlie ever since last year. They went out for months. Charlie broke off the relationship and Jennifer has been obsessed with him ever since. Jennifer was possessive of him. She always tries to interfere with any relationship Charlie is in. Logan was afraid of how far Jennifer would go to destroy her relationship with Charlie.

Logan took her little sister, Ginger, to the town park to play. Suddenly, she looked around and Jennifer was sitting on the park bench. She had been to the park a hundred times and never saw Jennifer before. It was just a coincidence; she thought. She was taking someone in her family to play in the park. When Logan and her sister left the park, she noticed Jennifer had walked to the parking lot. There was no one else with Jennifer. Logan took her little sister home.

Logan went into the restroom and Jennifer walked in behind her. Jennifer looked directly at Logan and said, “I thought you understood. I told you to leave my boyfriend alone. If you do not, you will pay the price.” Logan did not know about what she was talking. It surprised her that Jennifer would threaten her. Later that night, Logan and Charlie went to the corner diner to have a hamburger and French fries together. Jennifer walked into the diner and saw them together.
