Safe Haven

I'm awoke by my mother screaming my name, realizing I missed my alarms I throw myself out of bed and rush to get dressed. It's the first day of school and I'm going to be late, sighing to myself as I pull my jeans over my legs. Jimin better be there, I think to myself as I look in the mirror and fix my messy hair. Pulling my comb through my hair I notice a pimple on my forehead. "Damn it", I whisper to myself because I wasn't planning on wearing makeup but now I have no choice. Oh well I enjoy doing my makeup so I'm not that upset by it, but now that I noticed this pimple it really hurts. My phone buzzes as I hear the alarm go off, wait why is it- I grab my phone and it's only 6 am. I let out a long sigh, why did she wake me up so early? I allow myself to relax as I finish getting ready for my dreadful first day of high school. I put my mascara on and stand from my desk and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and to pee.

Time Skip:

Stepping into the building where everyone is gathered in the Commons or cafeteria I pull out my phone. Just as I'm about to text Jimin he says, "Hey! Ae-Cha!", from a far table, sitting with his other friends.

Later they all head to class and Ae-Cha and Jimin have almost all the same classes together, the ones they didn't have together were history and chemistry. Right now they're heading to English, this is always both of theirs favorite class.

Heading into class just ahead of Jimin, my eyes land on Taehyung, I instantly look away as we make eye contact. That was awkward. I find my spot in the back of the classroom and sit down, unpacking what I need for class. Jimin giggles at something and I realize he's laughing at me, I'm staring at Taehyung. I look down blushing and gulp looking back up at Jimin, I punch his arm softly. "Shut up." I don't even like him why can't I take my eyes off of him. Then I realize he got a few new piercings and a haircut since I last saw him during the summer.

As the day goes on I head to my last class, history, I've always hated history so I'm sure this year will be no different. Walking into class I see I'm the first one to arrive to class, taking my shoes off at the door and replacing them with slippers I'm greeted by the teacher.

"Hello I'm Mr. Cho and you?", he says taking my hand gently shaking it.

"I- uhm I'm Ae-Cha", damn why did I stutter so much?

"Nice to meet you Ae-Cha, I hope we have a good year together", he says with a faint smile on his face. I nod then bow as I go to take my seat in the back of the class, again taking out what I'll need.

Towards the end of class Mr. Cho says, "I see that you're struggling with first assignment a bit, would you like to stay after class for help?" He says this very innocently so I nod agreeing, little did I know this would be a big mistake.

Trigger warning: rape

After everyone leaves it's just me and Mr. Cho in his room when he pins me against the wall as I go grab a text book. "What are you doing?", "I seen the way you where looking at me, do you think I'm stupid?", "W-what are you talking about?", "You know exactly what I'm talking about." He says this as he tries pulling at my pants but I push away from him and he pulls me closer, forcing my zipper down. "Stop! No! Please don't do this", he just chuckles and continues. Again I pull away and he slams my head into the walk causing me to pass out, all is black, then peaceful.

When I wake up all I feel is pain, from my head to my core. I instantly start crying remembering what had happened, the nurse comes to my side and holds me as I cry. "What happened honey? Why are you crying?", "H-he raped m-me!", "Who honey? Who was it?" I start crying again trying to say who but can't get his name out, she watches me struggle for a minute before saying, "Calm down honey breathe, who was it?", before speaking I take a deep breath, "Mr. Cho did it." She looks at me in disbelief but also concern, "Are you sure?", I nod in response.

Walking home I text Jimin, I want him to come over and talk. I don't know how to tell him, or if I will. We have to tell him, he's our best friend. It'll hurt him too much I can't tell him. My phone buzzes as he responds almost instantly saying, "Omw." I walk in and as expected my parents are still at work, most of the time they work until eight. Once Jimin walks in I tell him I'm going to bathe, he makes me feel safe, almost like an older brother.

After showering I come back into my room and he's playing COD zombies, I giggle seeing him struggle a bit. I get a slight cramp in my center area, I already put a tampon in, because today caused me to bleed. "I'll be right back, but be ready to get your ass handed to you by a girl", he laughs shaking his head as I head to get pain medicine.
