Chapter Twenty Nine

Lana POV:

"Lana, stop!" I heard Ryder call from behind me.

I then felt him grab my hand, and spin me around to face him.

"How could you do this to me?" I asked him, weakly. "Baby, it wasn't what you think. I didn't kiss her back. I promise you. I'd never do anything to hurt you." Ryder begged. "Why should I believe you?" I asked him. "Come on, Lan. You know me." Ryder said, softly.

"You had your hands on her face, Ryder. It sure as hell looked like you were kissing her to me." I said through my tears. "Baby, I tried to stop her. I did. I tried to tell her." He replied.

"Does she know about us?" I asked. "I tried to tell her at the hospital the other day but I got interrupted. This was the first time I've seen her since then. I swear, baby. I was going to tell her. Please, just come and sit down so we can talk." Ryder plead, squeezing my hand, lightly.

I didn't know what to think. I wanted to trust Ryder but after what I went through with Cole, it was hard. I had to hear him out, though.

I reluctantly nodded and joined him on the couch.

"Baby, I know you're upset and I'm so sorry for that. I know I could have tried harder to get her off of me, but I was just in shock. Okay? I didn't kiss her back. She never gave me the chance to tell her about us before she.." He stopped, knowing it would upset me further if he said it out loud.

"I want to believe you. It's just hard after what happened with Cole." I said. "I understand that, Lan. I do, but you've known me for years. You have to have a little trust in me, okay?" Ryder asked, calmly.

In my life style, I learned to tell when people were lying. They got defensive and angry, aggressive even, but Ryder had remained calm and patient with me. I still didn't know what to think but I wanted to trust him. I had to if our relationship would last.

"I want you to tell her today." I whispered and looked at him. "Deal." He said, without hesitation.

Ryder POV:

After my talk with Lana, I felt so relieved that she listened to me. I was completely honest with her and she knew that. I understood she had trust issues she would have to get past so I had to be patient. I had to get Hannah the hell out of here. She would just cause more problems.

I eventually found Hannah talking to Sarah, though Sarah didn't look too happy.

"We need to talk." I hissed at Hannah. "What about?" She asked innocently. "Don't play fucking stupid with me, Hannah." I said, getting angry.

That's when Sarah walked away.

"What the hell were you thinking kissing me like that? I told you no." I growled. "You didn't push me away." Hannah justified. "And that was fucking stupid but you also know that I didn't kiss you back. I have a girlfriend for God sake, and if you had put your hormones aside for one damn minute you would have known that when I tried to tell you." I said, my voice starting to rise.

"Girlfriend?" She asked angrily. "Yes! And it almost ruined my relationship with her when she saw us." I told her. "It's Lana?!" Hannah yelled.

I walked closer to her, challenging her. "You come near me or my girl again, I will end you. I don't give a fuck who your father is." I growled, lowly before walking away to find Lana.

A while later, as I was on the back porch, having a smoke, Samuel walked outside.

"Hey, boss." I muttered. "Lana told me what happened." Samuel told me, slight anger in his voice.

"I'm sorry, Sam. I should have known better, but she knows now. I explained what happened to Lana. Thankfully she understood." I told him. "I'm still keeping my eye on you while that bitch is here." Samuel replied before walking away.

Lana POV:

I sat with Sarah in her room for a while after my talk with Ryder. I told her what I saw and what happened after.

"At least he knows he fucked up, even though he didn't at the same time." Sarah told me. "What?" I asked, confused. "Never mind." She replied.

"Should I believe him?" I asked her. "I don't know. Did he genuinely mean what he said?" Sarah asked. "I think so.. The look in his eyes.. I could see it." I replied. "Then trust him, sissy. Not every man is like Cole." She replied. "I know. I'm trying. I am. I just want her to leave." I said. "Then lets make her leave." Sarah said before grabbing my hand.

"No, Sarah! I don't want to cause any drama while everyone is here. Please, let it go. Ryder said he would tell her." I said. "And you want to wait for that?" Sarah asked. "Sarah, please. I just got out of the hospital. I don't need this right now." I said. She sighed and finally gave in. "You're right. I'm sorry." She replied.
