Chapter Twenty Eight

Ryder POV:

It was the day Lana finally got to come home. I couldn't wait to get her back in bed with me. I missed sleeping next to her. The next few days would be hard for her so I want everything to be ready.

"Hey, Samuel said he is on his way with Lan." Kade said as he poked his head into Lana's bedroom. "Thanks, man. I think I'm finished." I said and followed him out the door.

"Hannah isn't gonna try to make a move on you is she?" Kade asked. "Why does everyone think she's back for me?" I asked. "What do you mean?" Kade asked me.

"Samuel thinks she's here for me, too." I said. "Dude, you know she was never close with the twins. She's using it as an excuse to get close to you again. I guarantee she just got word you're back." Kade told me.

"Whatever, man." I replied, not wanting to discuss it any further.

"Don't do anything stupid, brother." Kade told me before walking away.

Lana POV:

Finally. I thought myself as dad pulled into the driveway.

I carefully get out of the car, avoiding the sore areas on my body.

"Honey, take it easy." Dad said as he rushed to my side.

"I'm fine, daddy." I said, giving him a soft smile. "Come on, let's get you setlled in." Dad replied, helping me through the door.

"You're home." Ryder said, happily and gave me a soft kiss.

"Hope you're hungry, sissy." Sarah said and hugged me. "Starvin'." I replied and laughed lightly.

Ryder wrapped his arms around me. "I'm glad you're home." He whispered in my ear.

"Me, too." I replied and hugged him back.

I heard the sound of the gang's motorcycles out front.

"Yo! Is our girl home?" Danny, one of the club members called out as they all piled in the door.

They all cheered as they saw me and each one wrapped their arms around me.

"Hey! You're home." Hannah said cheerfully as she walked in behind the club member.

"Hannah, I didn't expect to see you here." I said. "Of course. I wanted to see you." She replied with a smile on her face.

Something was off. We were never friends before so why come now?

"Ryder, hi." She said and walked over to him.

"Hey." He said awkwardly.

"Yo, Lan!" Danny called out.

I turned to him and saw him hold up a deck of cards. "Poker?" He asked as some of the guys that sat around the table waved me over.

"Why not." I said and sat in the circle.

Ryder POV:

I watched Lana as she kept giving me small glances.

"Ryder?" Hannah said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"What?" I asked her. "I wanted to talk to you about something." She said and pulled me aside.

"What is it?" I asked. "Look.. The way we handled things five years ago.. I didn't mean all the things I said. I did love you. I still do." Hannah said.

"Hannah.." I sighed.

"Did you ever think about me?" She asked as she placed her hands on my chest.

"Hannah, no." I told her.

She only wrapped her arms around my neck. "I miss you."

I froze in shock. Why the hell wasn't I pushing her away?

She suddenly slammed her lips to mine. I put my hands on her face to push her away but she tightened her grip.

Fuck. The feeling of her lips was strange in a way, foreign.

She grabbed my face and pushed herself closer to me. God, why the hell wasn't I stopping this? Even though I wasn't kissing her back I didn't push her off of me.

I heard a small gasp and whipped my head to my left and saw Lana in tears.

"Lana!" I called as I chased her.

Lana POV:

I walked around the corner to find Ryder when I saw him pinned against the wall by Hannah, his hands on her face as they kissed. An involuntary gasp left my lips and Ryder looked at me with horror all over his face.

I couldn't be there. I turned on my heel back down the stairs, ignoring Ryder's pleas.
