Chapter Twenty Seven

Ryder POV:

"What's up?" I asked Hannah as we walked down the hall.

"How have you been?" She asked. "Fine. Got out of the pen about a year ago." I replied.

"You adjusting okay?" Hannah asked. "I'm getting better, yeah. Took some time but my life is almost back to normal." I replied.

"As normal as a biker's life can be right?" She asked with a small smile on her face.

I laughed lightly. "Yeah, I guess." I replied.

I had forgotten all about Hannah before she showed up at the club house. She never once crossed my mind, so when she showed up, I didn't know what to think.

"Ryder.. I still think about the night we broke up." Hannah said, suddenly. "Yeah?" I asked. "All the time." She replied and looked at me.

"Hannah, I.." I was interrupted by Kade's voice.

"Boss wants to see you." He said, sternly.

"What's up, Samuel?" I asked when he pulled me aside.

"What the hell is that woman doing here?" Samuel asked.

"She's here to check on the girls." I replied. "Or is she here for you?" Sam asked.

"Samuel, Hannah and I have been over for years. I have no feelings left for her. I promise you." I replied.

"Are you sure about that?" Samuel asked.

"Of course. You don't trust me?" I asked, confused.

"Not when it comes to breaking my daughter's heart. I can tell she's worried." Samuel said.

I furrowed my brows, a little hurt my friend thought this about me.

"She has nothing to be worried about."

"Have you told Hannah that you and Lana are a couple?" Samuel asked. "Well, no." I replied. "Why?" "Because it's none of her business." I told him.

"Or you just don't want her to know?" Samuel asked.

"What the hell, Samuel? You really think I would hurt Lana like that? I love her." I said angrily.

"I saw how you distanced yourself in there, Ryder. Friend or not, you hurt my daughter, I will bury you. I don't give a damn how much you've done for us. Am I clear?" Samuel asked, angrily.

"Crystal." I said, gritting my teeth.

"Everything okay?" Hannah asked when he walked away. "Fine." I replied.

Lana POV:

What's going on out there? I couldn't help but wonder. I know Ryder wouldn't hurt me. What I didn't know was if Hannah would try to wiggle her way back into his life.

If he did still care for her, I hope he would tell me before he did anything with her. I don't think I would be able to take it. After what Cole did, I couldn't help but be a little paranoid.

"What the fuck is she doing here?" Sarah asked. "I don't know." I mumbled.

"Lana, are you okay? You're not worried right?" Kade asked. "A little, maybe." I replied. "I get it but, we all know Ryder. He isn't the type to be unfaithful." Kade tried to assure me.

"I know." My thick southern accent seeping through.

Ryder then walked through the door alone.

"Where's Hannah?" I asked. "She left. Said she would see you when you got home." He replied and kissed my cheek.

"Are you okay?" I asked. "Yeah, Lan. I'm good." He said, trying to smile. Something was wrong. He was being distant.

"I love you, Ryder." I said weakly. "I love you too, baby." He replied and took my hand.

Ryder POV:

I love Lana, I do. Hannah coming back just threw me off. I didn't know how to react. Things ended bad between us when I broke up with her.

"I can't wait to get you home." I whispered in her ear, making her giggle.

"Why's that?" She asked playfully. "Reasons I can't discuss in front of the club." I replied and smirked.

My relationship with Lana is great right now and I won't let someone like Hannah ruin it. Things were too perfect. Lana was too perfect.
