Chapter Ten

Lana POV:

The day had finally come for Sarah and I to move. Adam and Cole were meeting us here to help us.

Cole has never been to my father's house before and I was afraid to let them meet.

I was grabbing a bottle of water, when Sarah bounced into the kitchen.

"The boys are here." She said excitedly.

Here goes nothing.

Laughter was heard as the two men approached the door.

"Hey, beautiful." Cole said, kissing my cheek. "Hey." I said and smiled.

"Who's this?" I heard dad behind me.

"I'm Cole. It's good to finally meet you, Mr. Reyes." He said before holding his hand out.

Dad hesitantly shook Cole's hand.

"You're Lana's boyfriend?" Dad asked. "Yes, sir." He replied.

"How old are you?" I rolled my eyes. "28." Cole replied.

"Okay, dad. We're done here." I told him and lead Cole upstairs.

"I'm so sorry." I told him once we were out of hearing range. "It's fine, baby." He said laughing.

It didn't take Cole and I long to get into a rhythm as we loaded Adam's truck.

After a while, I heard Ryder's bike pull in. Great.

"Today's the day huh?" He asked as he walked over to me.

"Yep." I said, avoiding the glare he was most likely giving Cole.

"And you are?" He asked causing Cole to frown lightly. "Cole. You?"

"Ryder. Lana's best friend." Ryder said, smugly. He was purposefully trying to upset Cole.

"Cool." I could tell already that they hated each other.

"You must be the boyfriend, right?" Ryder asked with an arrogant smile on his face.

"Uh huh. About a month now." Cole replied.

Ryder's face hardened slightly.

"Guys, enough. No drama, please. I'm begging you." I pleaded.

Cole sighed and looked at me. "Sorry, baby. Let's finish up." He said before kissing my cheek.

"Can't even give you a real kiss?" Ryder asked as he followed me upstairs.

"Not with dad around. He's trying to show a little respect." I snapped.

"I don't like him." Ryder replied causing me to roll my eyes. "Of course not."

"Done!" Sarah exclaimed, happily a couple of hours later.

"Let's go home." I told her smiling.

Ryder POV:

"I don't trust him." I told Samuel. "She never gave a last name, did she?" He asked. "No.." Damn it.

I was fuming the entire meeting. I couldn't get that mother fucker kissing my girl out of my mind.

I so badly want to run the skinny fuck outta here, but he seems to make Lana happy. I can't destroy her relationship because of my jealousy.

The didn't mean I couldn't try to dig up a little dirt on the guy though. I just had to find out his last name.

Lana POV:

"Your friend doesn't seem to like me very much." Cole said, laughing. "He literally doesn't like anyone." I told him.

Ryder was beginning to get under my skin and I knew he was doing it on purpose.

The four of us ordered a pizza that night, after we got most of our things unpacked.

"I'm so glad to be out of that damn house." Sarah exclaimed.

I had to agree with her. It was so much quieter without big, obnoxious bikers stomping through the house all the time.

"It's a lot more peaceful." I replied.

"You boys spending the night?" Sarah asked. "Sure." Adam and Cole answered in unison.

Ryder POV:

I sat, tied to a chair as I heard Lana's screams from the room next to me.

"Stop it!" I yelled.

Soon I heard heavy footsteps and the door open.

"You." I said darkly.

The man just smiled, laughing lightly. "Me."

I sat up quickly, breathing heavily. What the hell was that dream about? I didn't see the face of the man in my dream but I knew him.

I sighed and walked to the bathroom, looking in the mirror.

"What the hell is wrong with me?" I whispered.
