Jody's POV

“Other casinos have had threats in the past. Some were false, some were not,” he simply answers while taking a peek into the ventilation with a flashlight and bomb detector.

“So how about here? Have you had any threats before?” I ask curiously, looking unintentionally at his butt.

Damn! This man has a sexy butt! I also think about Micah and Gabriel. The two look good in their three-piece suit as well. They’re also both lean and muscular. So, is being sexy a requirement for a casino’s private bodyguard? I wonder.

Luke looks down at me and jumps down from the table he’s perched on to reach and peer into the ventilation. “No. At least in the five years that I’ve been working here, this is the first time.

I blink, trying to not feel the blush as he catches me looking at his butt. I turn away my face and act casually, swinging my arms in a playful manner.

“I see. So… who called in the bomb threat?” I inquire.

He shrugs. “I don’t know. Maybe they’re going to investigate it later.

“Is it a time bomb? Do we still have time?” I suddenly feel afraid. I stop swinging my arms. What if we only have like twenty minutes or less and the private bodyguards won’t be able to locate it? Am I going to be blown to kingdom come, too?

Oh, God! I suddenly wish it’s already my birthday. At least I’m twenty-two when I die, though it doesn’t matter. To be blown into pieces is just a terrible way to go. I cringe at the thought of my body blown into pieces. I can’t imagine it. My flesh and bones and skin are torn apart into tiny pieces… Oh, God! It’s just terrible. I then shiver at this train of thought. It seems to suddenly become real than when I first thought of it.

“Are you cold?” Luke asks suddenly worried. It seems that the centralized heater is not enough at the moment.

I haven’t realized that he’s been watching me all this time. I watch him take off his jacket, and he wraps it around my shoulders. I thank him, bathing in his warm jacket. His warmth is still present, which is kind of delicious. And his jacket smells nice, too. Like him.

“Fifth floor is clear,” he says to his communication device, informing the others.

“So, what now?” I query, looking at his handsome face.

“We go back to the casino and wait for Micah and Gabe,” he decides.

I just nod. Yeah, it’s good to rest now. Maybe there’s no bomb after all. It’s just a prank. It’s just a prank. I try to convince myself. Whoever does this, I hope he’ll be caught right away and should go to jail! It’s not funny. This whole thing is really not cool!

I have three security persons who are just as upset as me, being locked down inside the empty luxury casino building. We’re not even sure if we’re going out of here alive.

“So, what’s up?” Luke asks when his two colleagues are back from their search.

“It’s clear,” Gabriel says with a shrug of his broad shoulders. His brown eyes catch my gray ones. “Are you okay?” He comes closer to me, seated at the bar.

I just nod at him.

Luke, who’s behind the bar, gives me a glass of wine. “You, Micah?” he asks the black guy.

“Definitely a false threat, Luke. There’s no bomb!” Micah gestures his hands in the air in an answer.

“We should call in the good news then,” Luke tells the others calmly, putting the bottle of wine on the bar.

“Oh, no, no, no. Not yet,” Gabriel shakes his head. His eyes are on me.

The two other guys stare at him before they settle their eyes on me. I look at each of them in return, sipping my glass of wine. I gauge the look in their eyes, which makes my heart palpitate suddenly. With excitement.

“How about we’ll have some fun first?” Gabriel suggests.

‘Fun?’ my mind echoes. I place the empty wine glass on the bar. I feel like my spirits are lifted for the first time after I arrived in this exclusive luxury casino. It’s the reason why I am here after all. To have fun!

“You like fun, don’t you?” Micah chimes in with a smile, his white teeth flashing.

I cross my legs and expose my left leg. The slit is higher now, exposing more skin of my sexy thigh. I take off Luke’s jacket from my shoulders and place it on the bar. I smile at each of them.

I see Luke’s blue eyes light up with desire instantaneously. He slowly goes around, to exit the bar. It seems that this somewhat aloof person at the first second we met has become a different person. The same goes for the seemingly hot-headed Gabriel and the neutral Micah.

“How about we heat up the casino floor before we let them know the bomb threat is false?” Gabriel continues to talk to me, obviously seducing me.

Micah already takes off his jacket and tie, smiling as he looks at me with desire reflected in his eyes as well.

Damn it! I do want to see these sexy men naked. So, there’s no room to be a killjoy now, is there? After all, Gabriel’s invitation of heating up the casino floor doesn’t happen everyday! It’s just purely insane. And I like it.

So, I stand up from the high stool where I am seated. Micah and Luke help me out. Then they usher me into the middle of the casino. The slot machines, the gambling tables and roulettes seem to surround us. And I am surrounded by three sexy private bodyguards.
