Chapter 7

FIXRA'S POV

"You have such a beautiful face goddess of Lightning." Says the person who put my make up. "Just call me Fixra." I smiled. "Honestly, you're the first goddess who doesn't act like a total diva." She stated before turning my rotating chair and let me look at it my own face in the mirror. "All done. Do you like it?" I nodded. She did a fantastic job!

"That's a beautiful drape dress. It really brings out your holiness." Really? I stood up as twirl around just to see it for myself. This is such a fabulous dress. And it's not white in colour! "Oh, I almost forgot." She asked me to sit down, and she helped me to put on the ancient Goddess heels. Whoa! Where did they found one?! She carefully put it on and helped me up when she's done. "Wow." I turn around to see Kairos in her suit and crown. "Wow.." she's speechless.

"I can't wait to show you off.." she smiled and hugged me from behind. "Wow.." she embraced me before turning me around. "One last thing." She said and turned to the seamstress. She handed a crown to Kairos. "You forgot this." She placed it on my head and smile. "Perfection. We use the same crown." She kisses my forehead before letting me go and meet the others who help me preparing myself.

"Good job. You may go now. Have fun at the party." We watched them bow and walk out of the walk-in closet. "Kairos, why do we have to wear a crown?" I asked. "Because my mother is a royal blooded. We are obligated to show our ancestry in any formal gathering or party." Kairos look at the time before we both walk out of the closet and bedroom.

As we walk down the hallway, the melodious song accompanying us towards the ballroom. "Is it just me or everyone staring at us," I whispered to Kairos. "It's because a goddess walking hand in hand with a vampire in her home." She whispered back. "Also because they're jealous of me for walking next to such a beautiful being." I blushed.

She's such a sweet talker. "Hey.. wow.." Lazarus's eyes widen when he saw me. "Just like what Zaff said, that dress will be amazing on you. You like, I design them." Lazarus walked around us while looking at what we're wearing. "Amazing! What a divine couple." He finished his thoughts. "He's right. You look amazing." Zaff showed himself before kissing his husband. "Hey, babe. You left quite a huge mark on my neck. You know how hard it is to cover it all with makeup."

Zaff showed us the bite on his neck. "What? I love you too much I need to extract for pleasure venom in you." Lazarus licks Zaff's earlobe before Calista, and her wife showed herself. That's when I noticed something. "Are you pregnant?" I asked Martina. She giggled before she went to my side and drag me away. "How did you know?" She whispered. "Umm. My mother, she's the goddess of fertility. She taught me how to sense it."

She places her finger on my lips. "Don't tell anyone, including Kairos. I want to surprise that wife of mine. We've been trying to have a child since last year." Oh okay. Umm... should I ask her how? Or will that get me in deep trouble? It's best to not ask her the question. "Promise." I smiled. She smiled back and went to Calista's side. "What did Martina said to you?" Kairos asked.

"Oh, nothing. She's complimenting on my dress. She said Zaff outdid himself again." Kairos doesn't seem to trust me, but she let it go. "Come on. Everyone inside now." She offered her arm, and I wrapped mine with hers. As we walk inside the ballroom, my servants bow down to me while forming a straight line. "You're working?" I asked Victoria. "We felt bad for doing nothing. So we begged for a job to do. We are servants." She said while looking down.

"But you're a guest at this party." Kairos reasoned. "Like I said before, we're servants. Enjoy your night." She smiled. There's nothing I could do to convince them to just be a guest. "Be good." Victoria nodded, and Kairos lead me to her parents. "Happy birthday," I said before hugged Griselda. "Thank you. And I receive your gift from Victoria. Thank you so much. It's not every day; I receive a gift from a goddess."

"Happy birthday, mom. How old are you anyway?" Kairos asked her mother before she received a hard smack on her head. "No one needs to know that." We all turned to the dance floor when Calista and Martina bowed down to each other and began dancing in front of everyone. "Valentine?" Griselda asked for a dance from her husband.

He leads his wife to the middle of the dance floor and bow to each other before they too began to dance. Soon, both Zaff and Alec leads their soulmate to the dance floor. Kairos suddenly stood in front of me and offer her hand. "Shall we?" She smiles before I place my hand on hers. She leads me to the dance floor, and she bows. I curtesy before she wrapped her arms around me and her other hand holding mine.

We twirl around, looking into each other's orbs smiling at the situation. Usually, I would be dead nervous, but now, I don't feel anything except my love grows stronger for her. She's truly my soulmate, and I never thought I would be feeling this way ever. She leads me beautifully, treating me like a queen. Her swift move makes my heart pounded out of its cage.

She leaned in and saying soothing words into my ears. "You look amazing tonight." She said while I blushed. "You're not so bad yourself," I replied her. "I am lucky to have you in my arms." She dips me down while looking at my chest. "Correction, I am lucky to have you as my soulmate." She giggled before pulled me up again. When the music ended, we parted away and bow to each other.

"May I have the next dance?" Asked a woman behind me. Kairos's expression turned to grim. I turned around, and I have a feeling I've seen this woman before. "No, thank you." Kairos grabbed my hand and walk away, but this woman touched her shoulder. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Somehow her voice seems... threatening. I heard Kairos sigh and turned us around.

"You don't mind, right?" This woman asked me. I shake my head slowly. "Good." She removed Kairos's hand away from mine and dragged her towards the dance floor. "You really going to let that whore dance with your soulmate?" Asked Lazarus when he's on my side. "We hate her." Both Katrina and Martina suddenly beside me as well.

"Who is she anyway?" I asked. "Oh, you don't know? She's Kairos's ex. She's one of the nobility vampires here in Zadicus. She basically sleeps with anyone who's super-rich and influential." Lazarus explained. "Kairos used to worship her. It's like she's under some kind of spell. She drew her picture all the time. Now, Kairos hates her guts." Martina added. "Why?" I asked. "She betrayed Kairos's trust. She had an affair with another prince while dating Kairos. Calista was the one who told her." Katrina stated.

Suddenly I remembered something. Kairos threw a picture of a woman yesterday. That's probably her. "Better get your soulmate back Fixra. That woman is a snake." Lazarus keeps on pushing my shoulder forward until my body collided with them. All three of us fall, but Kairos stood up and helped me. She totally ignored her ex.

"Umm.. rude much." Her ex said while getting up herself. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Kairos is genuinely worried about me. She caressed my cheek lovingly and leaned in. "Thank you so much!" She thanked me and kissed my lips in front of everyone. It was a slow yet passionate kiss. She pulled my body even closer to hers, and I am literally on my toe.

Even though I'm wearing my heels, I can't reach her lips duly. She's too damn tall! When we pulled away, we decided to walk towards her family and just enjoyed the night. Once or twice, I could feel her ex's glares on us, but I ignore it. With the support of Kairos's brother and sisters in law, they really helped with the situation.

We were just talking animatedly with some of Kairos's friends when I excuse myself to go to the bathroom. After I'm done, I casually walk out of the toilet stall and am shocked to see the ex standing, waiting for me. "Fixra, the goddess of Lightning with the power to burn every single being in this world. I know your past. I know your present as well. Tell me, why does your own aunt match you two up?" She asked while I went to the sink and wash my hands.

"She doesn't mind about my past." I simply said while looking at my reflection in the mirror. "So you don't mind about her past? She killed your grandfather. Will the king of Gods, your own father accepted this? Will he accept the killer of her father?" This bitch really needs to know her place. I face her with a smile on my face.

"She's still my soulmate, and I don't care even if I'm not allowed in the Holy Mountain anymore. She's mine and mine alone. If you want her, you have to kill me first. But, you know how it works. You have to kill Kairos as well if you want me dead. But before you could even TOUCH an inch of my skin, Kairos will come and beheaded your head in my honour. Do you want to try it now?" I threatened her to the core.

I watched as she was slightly back away from me. "I have my fair share in the last war. I don't need a snobbish little brat like you to play catch with me. They call me the Burning Princess and I can burn you right here, right now. After that little exercise of mine, I will continue to enjoy the party until someone finds your ash on the bathroom floor. Well, if they can."

By now she's taking a few steps back and pretend not to choke on her own saliva. I smiled before leaving her alone in the bathroom. I went to Kairos and secretly giggling to myself when I saw the ex walk out of the bathroom with a pale face.

"Fixra?"

A voice called out for me. When I turned around, I was shocked to see my parents attended this event! What in the world?! I turn to Kairos who's avoiding eye contact with me.

"So, this is where your so call soulmate live?" My father's booming voice made me flinched. I have no strength or desire to look up at their faces. "King and Queen of the Holy Mountain. Welcome! We've been expecting you." Griselda greeted my parents as if they know each other that well. "Hello, Griselda. I hope our little Fixra didn't cause you any trouble." My mother seems to be in a normal mood.

She's not mad? I try to look up, but I feel like my father is drilling holes on me. "Are you the soulmate?" My father asked. Kairos move a little. "Yes, I am. Kairos Zadicus." My father grunts and that's it. "Go and have some fun with your brothers and sisters Fixra. I want to have some time alone with this vampire." My father grabbed my hand and pulled me towards my sisters.

My sisters catch me. When I look up, I see their disappointment on their faces. Even my brothers who love me avoided eye contact.

"I don't even know why we have to attend this party. This is our grandfather's killer home!" Said my oldest brother. "It's my father's wish. Besides we were invited. We can't defy the prime minister." They all turned to Griselda. "She's not some vampire who we could kill easily. She's a Zadicus. The legendary silver hair vampire."

My older sister said to my brother. The others didn't dare to open their mouth as they feel they don't have to say anything. I know deep down they wanted to kill me for letting myself fallen for the vampire. "Fixra.." my sister called for me. "Tell me, tell us, are you sure about this? Defying mother and father, defying the laws of the Holy Trinity? Defying our ancestor. Are you sure about this?" She repeatedly asked me with the hope I changed my mind.

"Once you two mated, there's no turning back. We will never know what will happen if you two decided to be as one. It will jeopardise your power, or you will be like them.." my brother was referring to Lazarus, Martina and Katrina. Now that he mentions it, they too have silver hair, the colour of the legendary vampire. "You probably will lose the status of being a goddess of lightning, the Burning Princess." My older sister added.

"Brothers, sisters..." they all turned their attention to me with hope in their eyes, hipe for me to change my decision. "I'm sorry... I can't leave her. She.. save me from Tharos. I can't leave her just like that.. we've bonded." My older brother went to my front and force me to look at him. "What did Tharos did to you?" He asked while my other brothers nodding their head. "He forces himself on me. He tore my clothes off of me and tried to rape me before Kairos came to my aid. Brother, do you want me to spend the rest of my life with the man who tried to use force? The man who wants me to carry his seed without my consent?"

I asked him thoroughly. He slowly released his hands off of me.

"Brothers, sisters, since I know Kairos, she never do something I won't approve. She always a gentlewoman when it comes to romance. She made my heart pounded like no one ever did before. She accepted my past, she even hugged me when I transform to my real self, the Burning Princess. She didn't care even if she hurt herself just to control my powers from overflowing. She's my soulmate."

I turned to my older sister.

"You should know the feeling better than anyone else. You've mated." I look at her pleadingly. "Please, let me be together with Kairos. She's my life." I begged my siblings. "That decision is not for us to decide. It is my father's." Said my older brother. "Have the strength to ask for his blessing, my dear sister." Added my older sister.

They are both right. When I turn to my parents and Kairos, they were talking animatedly. I saw a little sly smirk forming on Kairos's mouth before she faces me. Both my parents and Kairos walked up to us. "We have a deal." My father said while turning to me. "I challenge this vampire to defeat all of your suitors in a deathmatch. She said she's willing to do anything for you. So I came out with this solution."

Father turned to Kairos. "I permitted you to be in the Holy Mountain. Defeat everyone who wishes to have my daughter hand in marriage. If you manage to defeat everyone, I'll give my daughter's hand in marriage to you. But don't expect me to just give it to you. Even after you defeat them all. There are two sets of rules for you to obey. Understand, vampire?" Kairos nodding her head to my father.

"The match will be in 3 weeks. Fixra is known as the Burning Princess. She possessed the most powerful power the Holy Mountain ever granted on a goddess. I was shocked when I learned that a dark beast like you manage to withstand such Holy power of her transformation. I am curious about what you could do, the legendary silver hair vampire."

Did my father just say that? He almost sounds like he's admiring Kairos. Does this mean if Kairos win the match, we will be together? I literally ran to my father and hugged him as tight as I could. "What are you doing, Fixra?" He asked while I hugged him. "Thank you.. for giving her a chance to show you how deep her love is for me." My father returns the hug briefly.

"If someone manages to swipe you off your feet like she did, it's worth a shot to see how strong she is. But remember this Fixra. We don't know what will be the outcome of the match. She could be dead if she fails to do so. All those suitors who wanted you to be their bride are the best warriors throughout the Holy Mountain. They're god's that I trained myself. Do you think she will manage?" He asked me back.

I turned to Kairos, who's smiling at me. "Don't worry father. I know she will never disappoint me. She will never fail to protect me at all cost. She promised me." I heard he scoffed. "Promise? You believe in promise my daughter? That's what happened to your older brother who believed in promises. He's left alone without ever be able to see his own heir."

My older brother looking down to his feet. "Now that your soulmate here decided to change the ordered of the school by putting other subjects on studying the human world and alchemy, the outcome is great. Creatures who believe that original order is divine will come to take your soulmate's head. And now, even werewolves was given access to be in a vampire castle." He's referring to Hugh and Aster.

"What does this family thinking of changing!" Father ends his rambling. "But gotta admit, new orders a destine to happen despite everyone's reaction. Griselda always wanted to change the past, and she will not stop until her goal is fulfilled. No matter how hard it is for a female to be a prime minister, she did it. She manages to be one, and she's slowly changing everyone's close-minded thinking to a futuristic thinker like she and her family is."

Mother added. "I approve of your soulmate." Mother said to me. I smiled and hugged her like my life depends on it.
