Chapter 6

FIXRA'S POV

"Hello, miss Zadicus."

Said a few of the family butlers and maids when Kairos and I walked up the bridge of the ship. "Hello, everyone. Did you prepare everything that I asked yesterday?" One of the butlers nods while the others still keep their head low. "This is Lady Fixra. My soulmate. You know what does it meant, right?" Kairos asked. The butlers and maids look at each other.

"We do miss. She's our lady as well. We will take care of her any need." Kairos smile. "Good answer. Now lead my friends to their designated room, okay?" Kairos lead me somewhere private while the others went to their room. "This will be our bedroom." She pointed at a place that has her name on the door. "But this is where I want to show you."

I froze when I witness the scenery from the veranda. "Beautiful, isn't it?" She said while wrapping her arms around me. "It's like we have no problems at all." I don't know how to respond to that. "I'm nervous," I said lowly. "Don't be. My family will never eat you." I know she's trying to joke with me but I just too nervous to laugh about it. "Hey... I promise you, if they try to do anything, I give you full authority to go all goddess at them. I don't mind at all."

I chuckled. Did she just give me permission to burn her own family?

"You do realise I have the power to burn your family crisp." She laughed. "I like to see that. Especially if you burn my older sister." Wait, she has an older sister? "You have an older sister?" I asked. She nodded. "She's the first child, always travel around the realm. She works for the ministry as well but as a ... umm... well you'll know soon enough." She waved it off.

"Your making me more nervous Kairos!" I buried my face on her neck and just inhale her scent, her soothing scent. "Like I said, my family will not eat you alive. Don't worry. They may seem strict, but they're not. Trust me on this." She rubbed my side before kissing my head. I don't know why, but I really like how she kissed my head every time I feel nervous. It's... soothes me.

The journey to Zadicus was never dull. First, Victoria finally in a ship and she said she could die peacefully now that all of her goals had been achieved. Kairos asked what her first goal was, and she said to be a servant for a divine being. I don't know if I should feel honour or be offended because I was her goal. Second, my other servant asked me if they can follow me wherever I go after I decided to leave the holy mountain. They instead work for Kairos and me than working for my family.

Again I don't know if I should feel proud or offended. Do they know I am still a goddess despite being mated with Kairos?

"Are we there yet?" I asked when I'm finally alone with Kairos. We decided to lay on the bed. I put my back while she on her side, watching me. "Nah. We're still in the middle of nowhere. You should sleep." She smiles. "Don't you?" She shrugged. "I sleep but not always. I don't need to sleep. This bed is only for me to regain my powers or when I'm too lazy or sick to function."

She removed the strands of hair that's blocking my view. "Why am I so lucky to have you, Fixra?" She asked while looking into my orbs. I don't think my heart ever pounded this hard before. "I have no idea.. thank my aunt for matching us up," I said before she slowly leaning into me. "Oh, I will..." our lips connected. Her hands rubbing my side to my stomach. I have aroused again, but we promised to wait until we meet both our parents together.

Suddenly I felt a sharp pain before I pushed her away from me. When I look into her eyes, it's not the same violet orbs anymore. It's blazing red, it reminded me off that moment when Tharos nearly rape me. "Kairos?" I asked while feeling a hot liquid dripping from my lower lip. Is that a cut? I wanted to touch it, but Kairos stopped me. "No.." her voice changed.. its a bit hoarse. "I'll clean it up.."

She said before licking my cut lip. After she did, the pain is gone, and so does the dripping liquid. "Kairos?" I called out for her. "Hi..." she said while leaned into my neck. She kissed my neck to my chest and to my neck slowly again. I never feel so much... attention being pour to me. "Kairos... is that you?" I asked, while her hands rubbing my thigh. She stopped kissing my neck and lifted her head again.

"I am Kairos... but, her inner vampire. I'm her... evil desire. I was commanded to hide from ever emerging again, but I need to meet our soulmate, you."

Inner vampire?

"Is that you with the wings back when Tharos force himself to me?" She nodded. "I should kill him for disrespecting you. The violet eye Kairos stop me from doing so." Thank God Kairos did stop her. "Where's the real Kairos went?" I asked. "Why? Don't you like me? Is it because of what I had done in the past?" She seems to be hurt by my question. "No. Of course not. I love every part of Kairos like she loves every part of me. I'm just curious."

She smiles. "Don't worry. She's here." She changed one of her eye colour to Violet. "We're both here." That's the Kairos, I know. "Why didn't both of you take control of this body together like now?" I asked. Kairos seems trouble. "We can't. I am evil. She will never be allowed me to come through." Said the red eyes Kairos. "She?" I am confused. "My older sister. There's something you don't know about me. Before, we both take control of this body. But, my sister forbids us to do it again."

"Why not?" I asked.

They didn't answer my question as they leaned into kissed my lips. They pulled away before they climb on top while sitting between my legs. They lifted me up to a sitting position and hugged me as if I'm about to go anywhere. "Please... don't go." Said a hoarse voice. It's the red eyes Kairos. The evil part of Kairos is begging for me not to leaving them?

"Please don't leave us. We finally found someone who we can love us... we need you even more now than ever. You control my desire to kill Fixra... you control my entire existence. I am your weapon when you want me to." I returned the gesture as hugged her as well. "You're not my weapon. Your my soulmate... both of you. I will never leave you. Not ever." I said before I feel something wet dripping on my shoulder.

"Don't cry... please..." I rubbed her back. "Whatever you did in the past, stays in the past," I assured them. We stayed comforting each other until the butler informs us about our arrival. When she finally let go of me, Kairos is back to her old self. "I'll be back." She said before she went to the bathroom. When she came out, she was smiling and lend out her hand to me. I took it and followed her outside.

"Welcome to the Zadicus Kingdom."

She announced when we're at the bridge. I was mesmerised by the island in front of us. It's huge! Bigger than Lavaria itself, more prominent than my own village! This is... just... Wow! "Oh look... my brothers waiting for me.. with that wide smile of them... oh hell..." she sighed. I look down as I noticed they both waving at us. They look... friendly. "Come on. Let's get off. They're embarrassing me right now."

I chuckled when her brothers shouted for her like they never saw her in years! When we dock, her brothers literally attacked her and hugged her like crazy. "Oh, Kairos, we missed you!" Said one of them while hugging her. "We were so bored!" Said another. "Come on. Everyone is waiting." She said when we all of the ships.

They lead us the several carriages. Kairos helped me up the wagon and followed by her. Her brothers decided to ride with us, and they have been smiling like crazy since the carriage start to move. "Welcome to Zadicus. I am Zaff. This is Alec." They introduced themselves. "I am Fixra. Nice meeting you." I smiled. "Oh, we know who you are.." they do? How? "Don't worry about the little things. Everything is under control." They both gave Kairos a thumbs up.

What's happening?

"Seriously?" The boys both nodded. "Good job," Kairos said before wrapping her arms around me. "Look at that, Alec. Our baby sister is a grown woman now." Zaff said as if he's a mother. "Yes... I am proud of my little sister." He fakes his tears. "Shut up." I blushed while looking out of the windows. "This kingdom is beautiful," I said while looking out.

"This is the Zadicus Kingdom, after all. Most of the royalty descendant and nobility moved here because it's beautiful, the safest and this is where the Ministry headquarters is. And that's where we live." Alex pointed t the top of the mountain.

When my eyes landed on a castle outside, I swear that I never have seen such home before. Even Lavaria'z royal palace is not that huge! "That's where you all were born an raise at?" They all nodded. "It's an old castle where the first king of Zadicus lives. The current king built another castle far more luxurious than this, so he gave it to us." Zaff explained.

"Our mother's birthday party will be awesome now that we all have our soulmate. You will be introduced to the whole Zadicus Kingdom like our soulmate did." They what?! Wait! What! "What?! Introduced me?! Seriously?!" Kairos only shrugged. "You didn't mention this earlier! Kairos!" She pulled me into her chest. "Shhhh... I don't want to tell you because this will happen. Relax. I'll be there always."

How can I relax if I'm about to be introduced to the whole nobility and royal descendent?!

"Oh look we're here."

The carriage stop and a butler opened the door for us. "Welcome home, Miss Zadicus." I was shocked when there's probably over 30 maids, and butler formed two straight lines from the carriage towards the entranceway into the castle. "Good to be home," Kairos said before lend me her hand, and we walked towards the entrance where two figure waiting for us.

"That's our parents," Alec said when he stood behind me. Both Zaff and Alec stood behind their parents when Kairos and I walk up the stairs. "Welcome home Kairos." Said a man, her father. "I'm happy you could make it sweetheart." A woman said while kissing her cheek, her mother. When both of them turn their gaze on me, I froze! Literally froze.

"Who's this lovely lady?" Kairos's mother asked. "This is Fixra. My soulmate." Both of her parent's eyes widen. "Well, your inner vampire did mention to us, but we never thought that an actual goddess is your soulmate!" Her father said while lending his hand. "I am Valentine Zadicus. This is my wife, Griselda." Kairos's mother just stared at me before lending her hand.

"Griselda. You can call me mom." She smiled and pulled me into a hug. Wow okay! This is sudden. "Now! Follow me to meet the others." Kairos's mother literally drags me towards the vast living room where a few figures talking animatedly to each other. "Hey!" She called out for the others who are busy talking to each other. "May we have your attention please." They turned to me with such looks. "This is Fixra, Kairos's soulmate. Isn't she wonderful!" Griselda seems to be too excited about this.

"Hey girl, I'm Lazarus, Zaff's mate." This guy seems to be oddly familiar to me. "Fixra." We shake hands. "I'm Katrina, Alec's mate." Said a woman and we too shake hands. "I'm Martina, Calista's mate." She smiled as we shake hands.

Calista?

Maybe she's the older sister she hates to mention. "Calista is my oldest child. She's on the phone now discussing something about work. Martina here is her wife." Martina smiled at me.

"Nice meeting you Kairos's soulmate. Finally, someone that can tame her am I right mom." They all chuckled. More like she controls me, though. "Likewise." I smiled. "So... you're the one everyone in this castle talk about?"

A powerful voice asked me from behind. I don't know why my skin crawled when I heard her voice. "An actual goddess. Now that's a first, a vampire and a goddess."

I don't know if I should bow or ... curtsey.

"I'm Calista. Where's that no-good little sister of mine?" She asked. Her wife Martina hissed at her for calling Kairos like that. "You promise you'll be nice Calista." She warned. She seems like she regretted it when Martina warned her. Looks like she's only afraid of Martina. "She's whipped," Lazarus whispered at me. He was snickering. "Don't let me decapitate you, Lazarus. Even if you're the son of a famous marque, I don't care."

"Don't hurt my husband!" Zaff said when he ran in front of his husband and protected him. "He's too beautiful to be dead. I mean, look at him. This face sells my product since the day we first met." Katrina chuckled. "You sound like you're whoring him, Zaff." I feel someone wrapped its arms around me. When I turn, I smile when Kairos standing next to me. "Well, hello, there little sister." Kairos nodding her head.

"Are you mute now?" Calista is not happy at all. "Hey, sis. How are you? Good? Okay." Wow, she really doesn't want to talk to her. I wonder why?

"Rude as ever. You better change her attitude before I do it myself." Calista said to me before walking away from us all. "Well ignore her. She's just nervous and worried. Don't mind her." Martina assured us.

"Ignore her. Let's go to our room. There, someone will wait for us." Huh? Someone will? I followed Kairos to, well, our room like she said. "What about my servants?" I asked. "I'm sure Martina will show them around," Kairos said while we went up the grand staircase. "Hold one, is that your sister?" I asked when I pointed at a picture of her. "Yes, I think it was the first day when she was elected as the General."

"General?" Kairos nodded. "Didn't my mother told you? Calista is the minister of defence. She's the general. She has some great responsibility to protect every single realm under the Ministry wings." We stopped in front of a door before she pushed it open. "Welcome to my room."

The first thing that greeted me was a picture of a woman hugging Kairos.

"Who's that?" I asked. "Well, don't be mad. She's actually my ex. I'm not sure why her picture still in my room, though." She went to the portrait and tore it apart. "She's a bitch." She simply said before threw the picture out of the window. "I hate her." She said when she faces me. "Anyway, I'm sure your stuff is in the closet. And when you go through that door, there should be a woman waiting to take your measurements. They will find a perfect dress for you to wear for tomorrow's party."

Huh? How did she know I have no dress to wear? ... Victoria. I sighed.

"I feel like I'm imposing here," I said lowly. "Don't feel that way. Whatever is mine is yours as well. I'm going to take a shower." She kissed me on my lips before I watched her go inside the bathroom. I took a deep breath before entering the closet door. I expect something like a room filled with clothes, but instead, I was greeted by a staircase to another floor!

This forsaken walk-in closet is actually two storey high! Just how much clothing does she need?!

"Lady Fixra?" A woman greeted me. "I am the Zadicus family seamstress. Follow me, please." She politely said, and I followed her. "Do you have any idea what kind of dress you wanted to wear tomorrow?" She asked while taking my measurement. "I don't know. Usually, I'll just wear a white dress whenever I went to a party."

I replied, honestly.

"White? That's so plain. Hmmm.. I think we have something that will suit you in our shop." She smiled while measuring my bust. "Wow. Miss Zadicus is one lucky woman. Well, all the Zadicus is pretty lucky." I blushed. "All done." She smiled and lead me to the upper floor of the closet. "Earlier this week, miss Zadicus contacted us to prepare a little bit of jewellery collection for you to wear. You may choose it here and that way I have the vision of the dress you should wear."

I turned my gaze to all of the jewels in front of me. This is something my mom and my sisters will enjoy doing. "I'm not sure," I said to her. She chuckled. "This is one of Zaff Zadicus collection. We also have something, not from his line." She leads me to another part of the closet.

Then something caught my eye. "This is beautiful." I showed the seamstress. "Oh. Nice choice. That is Zaff's latest design. He should release that line of jewellery by spring, but he said you can wear it. He does anything for his little sister's soulmate, his words." He's kinda sweet. "Follow me, please." I followed her while bringing the jewellery piece I choose earlier.

"Miss Zadicus said you need to choose one of these." She said while showing me a few collections of crowns. "What?" I asked. "Miss Zadicus said a queen should wear one." Is she for real?! "Choose the black crown. It will match hers." Calista suddenly appeared behind me. "She always chooses the black crown to use informal occasion."

When she standing beside me, I can't help but look at her scars. Those must be her battle wounds. "I know you, Fixra. The Goddess of Lightning. The divine being from the Holy Mountain. Let me ask you this question, are you ready to be apart of Kairos dark past? You know she's trying to change the Orman Academy's teaching order, and she will be targeted by her enemy along the way together with you. Are you ready?"

Her eyes were shooting daggers at me, but it's not from anger. She seems worried... about me...
