My Idol, My Brother, My Lover

Father's Last Love

Tears are falling down her eyes as she drinks on the bottle of beer on the cold and dark road.

There are countless candles lit on the road.

Leah is not the only one who is crying as they light the candles.

In front of the road is a closed concert arena where a famous singer and actor was murdered a year ago.

Leah looks at all the candles that flickers on the road.

It's like a prayer that the person who died unjustly will get his justice someday.

Her heart and nose feels stuffy as she reaches for a handkerchief in his bag.

Someone slowly walks behind her.

It is not unusual as the place was packed by the Idol's fans.

"It's been a while."

The voice is deep and full of heavy meaning.

Leah turns around as she remembered clearly who owned this voice!

The murderer of her idol!

When she turned around the man behind shoved the gun muzzle to her mouth.

She can clearly see now the face of that disgusting murderer.

Her eyes widen as she glares at him.

There is no fear in her eyes.

Only disgust and anger.

It's as if the gun in her mouth doesn't make her feel a thing or it could also because she was drunk and in deep pain at the moment.

All her head is thinking how she could take down this b*stard that ruin the life of her idol.

Bang**

That is the sound of the gun that went off and killed her idol and also her life.

***

Her name is Leah and she is a middle child.

She never had anyone on her side and always thinks their parents hate her because she is not as beautiful as their eldest sister and not as charming and outgoing as the youngest brother.

When their parents divorce they take each one of the eldest and the youngest but leave her to her strict grandmother.

She was hit when she did anything wrong and she was expected to do her best to repay her grandmother's kindness and always do her all in everything.

It is so suffocating and also there is no freedom.

She was bullied at school too for being too old fashioned and her things and clothes were often hand-me-down.

She was laughed at and there is no meaning to her life anymore but she was healed by the man's voice.

His songs made her believe that there was  sunshine after the rain and that she may not be unwanted now but there is a person who will love her someday.

His inspirational songs moved her heart and she was able to regain that small hope inside.

Because she was unable to attend his concert when she was under her grandmother's care she promised to attend all his concerts in the future but sadly the first time she attended, his idol was shot after he sang the closing song in his concert.

And she was near the murderer seat and able to brush shoulders with the murderer.

She can't see his face because the concert lights are off and only the support lights from the fans are on but she can tell his body structure and his deep voice.

She actively helped the investigation and volunteered in any type and possible way but even with her help they didn't get anywhere.

A year has passed and all the suspects are released.
There is no more evidence that may lead to another suspect.

The fans grieve and angrily lashed out to the authority but what else can they do?

There are four suspects and all of them are the former relatives of the dead idol.

Former.

Because apparently, they are really not related.

The twin older brother, Hilton and Krix and the youngest brother Gray and his mother Grandela.

All of them lived in the same house and has the same family name before but before the father died he revealed that no one but Justin(the idol) is his only real son and it was followed by hard proof and evidence making all of them kicked out of the house and become penniless in less than a day.

Only Justin, the real heir, remained and when his father died from a terminal illness he became an instant billionaire.

Though that sounds nice and fantasy-like.

The journey to become an instant billionaire is not.

It's like a nightmare that has no end.

Justin's mother died giving birth to him.

His relatives always mock him for being fatherless and always calling his mother names.

He grows up detached and self aware that people hated him.

When he first learned he had a father, he had a small hope.

But it appears that wherever he goes no one will like him.

He was bullied by his oldest brother and the youngest brother.

The second brother treats him like a stranger and his step mother avoids him.

His father never cared.

When he was 16, he was so fed up and ran away from home.

A good friend offered his house to him.

He worked in their small restaurant and even though the work is tough he is happy and free.

But his father told him to return, when he disobeyed his father, he did something and the business of his friend's family was closed.

His friend gathered all his friends and beat up Justin and cursed at him.

Justin returned home and begged his father to help his friend's family back and he will return home and stay until he is 20.

This is a contract he signed with his father.

The bullying of his eldest brother and youngest brother intensified when he returned but he never thought of running away again.

He toughens himself and grits his teeth so nobody will need to get hurt again.

When he is about to get his freedom back, his father said he has only 3 months to live and he is leaving all his possession to Justin.

The eldest son, the second son and the youngest protested.

But their father only sneered and said that only Justin is his real son.

And then he gave them the prenup the twin eldest and second brother's mother signed before the wedding.

Then he also gave them the paternity tests.

They are not related by blood.

The youngest is shocked and glared at his mother.

There is a prenup contract saying she will never have a single cent when they divorce and then also a paternity test result.

He is not his son.

They were kicked out without mercy.

They only bring themselves out.

No money or things were sent to them.

They only keep the private property they owned but all those that were bought by the father's money was confiscated.

The father never asked for forgiveness.

He knows that money will never buy the pain he experienced.

In return he only tells him his own life story.

His journey to become a billionaire.

It was almost the same as Justin's life.

But because of this, he is determined to rise up.

He wanted Justin to be like him.

Tough, strong and even if he is alone he will not suffer.

"Your life is still starting.
I paved the way so the later half will be smooth sailing. I never know what's familial love and never experience it so I too can't give it to you. But later, lots of people will give love to you and you will be free to love. You will be free and you will not end up like me. I taught you the harsh and tough life, not go and live a carefree and happy life you deserve. My son, you are precious to me. But the way I show it is not the same pampering and the same coaxing and the same kindness other parents can give. But believe me. I love you."

This is the song that Justin sang at the last moment of his life.

The title is : Father's Last Love

He is crying as he sings it but nobody expected it was the song he will sing at the end of his life.
