The Punishment

Siddharth's Point Of View

°°°

I used all the strength I had and got up. I could not lose it. Manav Choudhury, the man who rejected me with no regrets sat there looking at this match and I was not going to give him the pleasure to think he was absolutely right. I stood up. My forehead was bleeding and it all seemed to painful but I did not have a choice.

I did not.

The moment I stood up I noticed Mohit had already shifted his attention to the audience and was showing his biceps.

I slowly stood up as the cheers of the audience died away. They stared at me in shock. Mohit noticed it and turned. The moment he turned I punched him on his face. The teeth - guard fell onto the arena as he fell. The referee immediately walked beside him and started counting.

"10..9..8..7.."

He did try to get up but somehow his muscles gave away. He could not.

"6..5..4..3.."

Everyone waited with bated breath and so did I. Things seemed to go blurred in front of my eyes.

"2..1.", he said and cheers erupted from the audience.

"Sid! Sid!", They cheered as I merely shifted my gaze to Manav Choudhury who sat looking at Mohit in deep astonishment.

"So here we have our second finalist who shall fight Varun Khaiten tomorrow in this ring! It is none other than the hottest billionaire in the city! It is Siddharth Goenka!", The commentators said in unison as the referee came and held my hand up. I looked at the audience to find Aisha.

She somehow looked happy about it as she smiled warmly at me.

"That was spectacular Sid!", It was Gaurav who met me immediately as I walked out of the changing room.

"Thanks Rav..", I said as my hand ached terribly.

"Come on, I'll leave you to your mansion. ", He said pulling me towards his BMW.

"It's okay-"

"No! I'm leaving you!", He said stubbornly.

"Man really!", I said in mock irritation. The wounds on my head had not yet healed. In fact they had not healed at all and if Dad saw it he would ask me questions which I did not wish to answer.

I reached my mansion soon.

"Sid, best of luck!", Gaurav said as I got off. I knew exactly why he had said as I forced a smile at him and walked into my mansion.

Something told me that things were not right inside. I immediately walked up to mom's room to find her speaking to Dad.

"How dare you let him?! I told him very clearly that he will not touch Boxing gloves ever!", He was shouting at her.

"He loves it, Yuvraj! You cannot torchure him that way!", She said revolting.

"Maya, I had made myself very clear! Now he will have to leave this house!", He shouted as I walked into the room. He immediately turned towards me. His eyes were red in rage.

"Get out of my house!", He shouted.

"Yuvraj! Enough is enough! Let him do what he likes!", Mom shouted at him.

"Either he leaves or I will. Decide.", He said in cold fury. I drew in a sharp breath and said,

"I'm leaving.", Saying so I immediately turned and walked out.

Yes, Mom did shout at me, asking me to stop and not go but I could not let Dad leave. This was his house. After all, this was my fault.

I had broken the promise.

I deserve it.

I walked out of my gate as tears iched my eyes. Just then I noticed someone standing beside it.

I turned towards her as deep astonishment drew over me.

"Aisha?", I asked.
