The Chase

The music was bouncing around the yard, and I got lost in the crowd following behind my mate. He leads me to a quieter area of the yard that was covered by darkness and hid them from everyone else.

"What is your name mate?" His deep voice asked me.

"My name is Evelyn, and yours?" I asked shyly.

"Sebastian, Alpha of the Bright Stone Pack." He said with pride.

I couldn't get my mind over just how good looking he was. He really was everything I could have ever dreamed of.

"What are you thinking about Evelyn?"

The way that he said my name made me want to just melt. My wolf started to purr at him.

His wolf is just as glorious as he is.

Her voice was heavy with lust. It was so thick that you could almost cut it with a knife.

Let me out! Let me have him!

No! You need to stay back and hold yourself together. I don't want him thinking that we're easy! We need to make him work for it.

Work for it shmork for it he's our mate! He should be able to get it whenever! Like now!

My wolf broke free of the wall she was usually behind and took over. I was in shock and didn't know how to handle it, she's never done this before. She shoved me to the wall and behind it while I was struggling to grab on to anything that would keep me from going behind the wall and not allowing me to get control over my body until she allows me out. My body jumped on him and being so close to him I felt my body shudder with electricity when I saw his eyes go from that beautiful brown to jet black. His wolf had taken over too.

We couldn't control ourselves and one thing led to another. Our wolves were howling with each other to the stars and the Moon Goddess.

Once it was done Vivian allowed me out from behind the wall and returned to it all while smugly smiling at me. I knew that it was just her being herself, but I couldn't help but be a little bit upset with her. We fixed ourselves so that we looked somewhat decent. I was a bit embarrassed with Vivian and looked at Sebastian. He seemed to be a little embarrassed just like I was at the way that our wolves couldn't control themselves.

"Looks like our wolves get along nicely." He simply said.

I couldn't help but laugh at us. He started to laugh a little too, his deep baritone voice shaking me and giving me chills. It defiantly took away a little of the awkwardness that I was feeling.

I looked up at the sky to thank the Moon Goddess for giving me a mate that wasn't a smug fool and noticed that there was a full moon staring back at me. I felt myself relax a little, my wolf was stronger and able to overtake the wall because of the full moon.

It's not my fault that my hormones were going crazy! Its natural, it happens, it's a beautiful thing...

Okay we don't need to go into a full-blown lecture about... that...

I blocked out Vivian and looked back towards Sebastian. He has a small smile and was looking at me while I had my little talk with my wolf.

"What?" I asked him.

"You're just so cute." He said as he wrapped his arms around me and we started walking back towards the rest of the people.

It looked like everyone had really started to loosen up and having a good time while we were away.

"Do you want anything to drink?" Sebastian asked me.

"Yeah I'll take a soda please." I told him with a shy smile.

"Anything for you little mate." Was his reply as he kissed my head and headed into the crowd towards where the drinks were.

I wrapped my arms around myself and hugged myself. I know we hadn't spent much time talking but I really felt like we were going to have a great life together. I had to pull myself from my thoughts when there was a tap on my shoulder.

"Evelyn! I've been looking for you all over. I was wondering if you wanted to maybe have a dance with me?" An excited Josiah asked me.

"I'd love to but..."

I didn't get to finished my reply before I was almost tackled by an almost completely intoxicated Lillian followed by a not so amused Patrick.

"Evelyn, can you please help me get this handful home before she makes a bigger fool of herself or hurts someone?" A frazzled Patrick asked me.

"Well..."

"Let's goooo!" Lillian yelled as she dragged me away and towards Patrick's car.

I guess I really didn't have a choice weather I wanted to or not Lillian was going to make me do it, not that Patrick wouldn't have made me do it either, but we're going to blame her drunken self. We had to struggle to help her into the car so that we could leave and get her home.

Once she was in the backseat laying down with her head on my lap so that she couldn't look out the window and get car sick like she usually does when she's in this state.

It dawned on me that I forgot to tell Sebastian where I was going. I wanted to smack myself upside my head for being so stupid. I just hope that he wouldn't think I left him after what we had just done... And I really could have used that soda.

We spent a few minutes enjoying the quiet ride. It seemed that Lillian had passed out, or maybe she was just being quiet while she thought of something crazy that she wanted to do.

"Sorry to take you away from your party Evelyn." Patrick genuinely said.

"It's alright, I just hope that Sebastian doesn't think that I left him or anything."

"Whose Sebastian?"

"Oh, he's my mate!"

"You found your mate! And you let me take you away from him before I got to meet him!" Lillian yelled at me, shooting up out of her spot on my lap and staring at me. All while causing Patrick to swerve from the sudden yelling coming from her.

I heard the squealing of tires before there were bright lights coming in the back window. Lillian started to verbally freak out and I started to freak out myself, but I pushed it aside so that I could focus on trying to help Lillian calm down.

"Evelyn, this car is right on our tail, I think somethings wrong." Patrick said with worry seeping out of every word.

"Just do your best to lose them." I said calmly as I took out my phone and dialed my brother's number.

"Why are you..." Eli's voice came through the phone probably trying to ask why I'm calling him when I could just walk around the yard and find him, not knowing that I left the party.

"Eli! I left the party with Patrick and Lillian to take Lillian home since she's in one of her situations, and there's a car on our tails that seems to be chasing us!" I yelled through the phone as the car got over into the next lane and seemed to be trying to pass us.

"I'm on my way!"

The phone went dead telling me that he was probably heading our way in wolf form and couldn't talk on the phone. The car jerked to the right as the car hid our front left side.

"They're trying to get us to drive off the road" Patrick yelled.

Oh god, I just found my mate, and was trying to be a good friend and now we were going to die. I should have just put Lillian into my room and locked her in there so that I could have stayed at the party!

Lillian snuggled into my side holding on to my arm for dear life as the other car hit us yet again.

"Drive faster Patrick! We need to get away from them before we all get hurt!" I yelled.

Patrick dove faster trying to get away from the other car but they just drove faster and sped ahead of us, before swinging their car around to a stop and cutting us off from any chance of getting around them, making us stop.

Three big men hopped out of the side of the truck facing us and ran to the car. Lillian tried to get out of the car on her side when one of the men ran in front of her door and Patrick's and held them both shut. Patrick tried his hardest to open the door against the force of the man but it was no use, the man was much stronger.

My door opened and I was grabbed quickly by the two other men, one on each arm.
