Chapter 12 Immersed in Memories

As day turned to night, the city became a neon wonderland.

However, the city's hustle and bustle made Yuri feel even more lonely.

The woman who had urged him to go home really disappear from his life.

He had been looking forward to her disappear for a long time, but when it finally came true, why was his heart so empty?

Returning home, he entered Joey's bedroom unconsciously.

Yuri looked around without any emotion. Everything inside was extremely unfamiliar to him, because he had never entered her room before.

He didn't even know what color she liked. He seemed to know nothing about her.

He had married her for three years but neglected her for three years.

He walked slowly forward, trying to remember everything between them. His mind was in a mess. What was more, there was so many voices in his head.

In a trance, he seemed to hear her voice – "Yuri, welcome back. Do you want to eat something? I'll make it for you now."

"Yuri, why did you get drunk again?"

"Yuri, the bathwater is ready. The temperature is just right. Go take a relaxing bath first."

Yuri's heart tightened. Did she come back?

All of a sudden, he felt scared.

Her voices that were about to disappear from his world seemed to gush out together, and he could see the phantoms of yesterdays.

He remembered that when they first moved into the house, she was extremely happy. She dismissed the nanny and did all the housework by herself.

Yuri didn't care.

As days went on, she smiled less than before.

He opened her c, smelling the familiar smell lingering in his mind. Inside were some dresses he had never seen before.

Yuri was stunned. Those clothes were mature and elegant, which were not Joey's style, but her sister Cynthia's...

He closed the closet in a hurry, feeling suffocated and frustrated.

Why did Joey try to copy the dressing style of Cynthia's?

He rubbed his forehead feebly as he recalled what happened before the company's anniversary last year.

Many reporters were waiting to interview them in the hotel lobby. Joey had no idea what to dress and kept asking him which one was better. He adjusted his bow tie in front of the mirror and casually said, "you can learn the dressing style of your sister."

He didn't notice that Joey was stunned at his words. It was the first time they appeared in front of the public since marriage.

He soaked himself in the memories, unwilling to wake up.

Just then, his phone rang.

"Yuri, when are you coming for dinner?" Over the past month, Idy Chan had been calling him over and over again.

Yuri lowered his eyes and coldly said, "tomorrow."

The woman at the other end of the phone jumped in joy, "Great! We'll have crabs tomorrow!"

His eyes grew hard and stony. He had determined to put an end to the farce.
