His mood was ruined after the Dizon left. Armando scowled at the woman sitting across from him who acted like an entitled brat after she almost ruined everything! “You heard the term, didn’t you?” He needed to confirm if Sofia listened to everything that was discussed about dinner.

Was he talking about Khalil’s demand that she should remain untouched until their wedding night? “Yes, but it’s ridiculous! How can you agree to his terms, Papa?” She wasn’t pleased that after her engagement with Ariel was broken, she got herself another fiancé, the heir of KM Hotel!

“What’s ridiculous was the way you questioned about Khalil Dizon!” He bellowed at Sofia who seemed to be confused about her role for Katerina Hotel.

For a moment, Sofia stared at her father and studied furious appearance. Did he expect her to live as a doormat forever? She had given him enough chances to love her when she listened to everything he said. It was Khalil Dizon who insulted her first for not showing his ass on their scheduled dinner! “Excuse me,” Sofia before she would do anything she would regret later.

“Sofia, come back here!” Once again, Armando’s voice roared inside the house but his excuse of a daughter ignored him.

He shouted for her name but she didn’t dare to look back! She decided that it’s time to show her father that she wasn’t someone he could control any more like a robot. She proceeded to the lift that would take her to her bedroom. The night’s getting late and she needed a beauty rest after the stressful dinner with the Dizon. She had nothing against her fiancé’s parents, but the knowledge of being engaged one more time stressed her a lot.

Sofia changed into a satin pajama before she kept herself busy. She had no social media account, and no plan to register for one. However, she has a text mate, and they have been in contact for more than two weeks already. Anthony’s messages always made her feel like a teenager! She had no prior experience being wooed over text messages, and she had no idea she could act like a school girl when she’s already twenty-five!

She drafted a message for her boyfriend when Anthony’s name appeared on the screen and she screamed with joy! Without hesitation, she accepted his call. “Hi,” she greeted him, and even if the man was in another place, Sofia couldn’t stop from giggling. Hearing his voice was enough to make her happy. “How’s your day, baby?” Sofia grinned as she waited for the man’s response. Anthony insisted that she should refer to him as ‘baby, and he would call her ‘babe’.

“It’s been hectic in the office, babe. How about you?” Anthony replied.

Sofia contemplated being honest with Anthony but she wasn’t sure if he wouldn’t misunderstand it. She’d rather wait for the perfect timing before she would tell him about her recent engagement with Khalil Dizon. “Just ordinary, baby.” She replied.

“I’m free tomorrow, wanna hang out?” He asked.

They’ve been meeting discreetly, and her bodyguard has been a great help. “Where?”

“Same place. I miss you already,” Anthony said.

“Same here, baby. I miss you, too.” When Sofia recalled their first meeting at the mall, she discounted it as their destiny. It was fate who brought them together, and that’s why she immediately agreed when he courted her.

“Just the two of us?” He asked.

Sofia looked up at the ceiling when Anthony suggested she shouldn’t bring Janna into their meeting place. Well, she would love to meet him alone, but it would be hard to escape from her bodyguard’s eyes! With Janna always lurking near her and Anthony, they couldn’t do anything more than holding their hands. She wanted to try kissing him because it would be her first kiss! “Hmmm, I’m not sure about that, baby.” She said, and when she heard that Anthony groaned his disappointment at the other line, she felt bad for him. “But I will try,” she added to make him feel better.

“Thanks, babe. I know you can do it,” he encouraged Sofia even more.

“I’ll try tomorrow,” she replied, but in her heart, she already decided to leave alone. “Same time, baby?” She asked while referring to their meeting time.

“Yeah, same time. I wish we’re together now, so I can kiss you goodnight.” Anthony said sweetly.

Over the phone, his voice appeared like a gentle whisper into her ears, and she loved hearing it! She masked the giggle coming out from her lips before she responded to him. “Tomorrow baby,” she promised.

After her phone conversation with Anthony, Sofia stared into nothingness as she considered giving herself to her boyfriend. Khalil wanted a virgin wife, and if she won’t be a virgin on their wedding night, it would be a ground for their annulment. If she would give it Anthony, it would be like hitting two birds with a stone!

Sofia’s plan was ruined when she found an additional bodyguard outside her bedroom in the morning. She asked Janna what’s going on, but the woman only shrugged off her shoulder. Sofia balled her fist as she stormed off and search for her father.

“Papa!” For the first time, she yelled at the authoritative figure inside Katerina, and the way he glared was an obvious sign he wasn’t pleased with her behavior.

Armando clenched his jaw upon seeing his furious daughter. Her sudden changes appalled him and he needed to be more careful around the woman who became defiant every day. “Yes, daughter?” He challenged her.

Sofia closed the distance between her and Don Armando Arellano. Then, she scowled at the man who did nothing but to aggravate her life. It’s was too much, and she must put an end to his manipulative nature! “Additional bodyguards? What for? Am I a prisoner in my home?” She inquired between clenched jaws.

“It’s risky to let you outside…alone!” He replied.

“So, I am your prisoner then.” She concluded.

“Just until the wedding, my dear.” He responded without feeling bad for his daughter.

Sofia groaned at her father’s insensitive response. Frustrated, she left him and returned to her bedroom. “Send everyone away or I will kill myself, right now!” She threatened Jana before she went inside her room. It was an empty threat but Janna believed it!
