Khalil's Harem

PROLOGUE

Khalil was tired of being dubbed as the most eligible bachelor in the country. Women from different backgrounds threw themselves at him, and he was exhausted in fending off their advances. Sometimes, he asked himself if those women would still be interested in him as a man if he had nothing…like dirt poor!

He was envious about his younger brother who found a woman who truly loved him for who he was, and not for his net worth. Ariel was lucky to live a normal life, but they had a different path because he was groom to rule and run a hotel empire.

His first ten years in KM was a rewarding career, his name and face were always featured in most magazines, and he became famous for his entrepreneurial skills. Socialites from all over the world wanted to be in his circle, and he loved the prestige and popularity that wealth could offer.

However, just like anything else, nothing was permanent, and soon, Khalil Dizon grew tired of being the center of attention. He wanted to be less famous, and to be loved for who he was, and not for his money. He had lost count of the women who came into his life, pretending to be an angel at first, but it was later discovered that they were just after one thing or another.

His latest relationship was with Cholen Sy, and for two years, she had him believe that true love existed. He was literally on her palm, and he loved her dearly. Cholen also came from a wealthy family of Chinese businessmen, so being a gold digger was not in her cup of tea. He was about to propose when he discovered that Cholen was just toying with him for a prize. The woman entered a high stake game of winning his heart and dumped him afterward.

Except for his stepmother and sister, Khalil lost all his respect for women. It confused him about how women could use their hearts and body to destroy a person! He wanted to be free but his father objected to his way of repairing himself.

“Are you nuts?” Mario’s thunderous voice echoed in the whole room, and his blood pressure has risen.

“Dad, I want to try something new,” Khalil explained.

“Something new? You were already a King in our empire, why do you want something else, Ali?” It was a closed-door meeting between a father and a son.

“All my life, I live it as you always wanted. I already gave my ten years to KM, please allow me to be myself.” Khalil was not scared to face the furious face of his father. He knew that it would be hard for him to accept his ideas but his plans had nothing to do with religion. It was just for his happiness and nothing else!

“Fine. Will three years be enough to find yourself?” Mario gave in to the request of his eldest son, to live a life of his own, and to do whatever he wanted. He shouldn’t have mentioned it! Mario decided to keep it a secret from Charlotte because it wouldn’t sit well with his wife that his son planned to do something adventurous with women.

“I will be in the Highland if you need me,” he said.

The Highland was one of their properties. It was a manor with over a hundred rooms, situated in a mountain top, overlooking the entire city. His father loved his wife so much that he wanted Charlotte to live like a princess in a castle, and so he built the Highland on top of a cliff, and it was furnished with towers and turrets following the style of Cinderella’s Castle in fairytale books. The design itself was romantic and has scenic views from all sides, but Charlotte refused to be in the Highland.

“Oh no, not the Highland, Ali. It was intended for Charlotte!” Mario yelled as he was against Khalil disrespecting that place for goodness sake!

“She said I can use it to my discretion anytime,” Khalil answered. The truth was, he didn’t tell Charlotte anything about the harem. He just told her that he would be hiding in that place for a while.

“Just make sure to disinfect the entire place once you’re done using it,” Mario warned his son.

“Of course,” he gestured a salute to the mighty Mario Dizon who founded the KM Hotel.

Mario hasn’t expected anything worse from his eldest son because Khalil was a sweet boy while growing up, and he hasn’t done anything that would disappoint a father. He let out a deep sigh as he stared at his grown-up son, and he thought that it wouldn’t be bad to set them free. For the nth time, he sighed, before he was able to give his approval. “Okay, you may go now, but you should take Alvin with you!” He ordered and Khalil knew better not to object to his command. Alvin was Khalil’s bodyguard since he was a teenager, and he trusted the bulky man to take care of his eldest son.

One day after the closed-door meeting with his father, Khalil and Alvin bid goodbye to the whole family. He was like a fifth-grader who was sent into a boys scout camp, and Charlotte couldn’t stop herself from crying, as if he was still a baby.

Cleo, the youngest of the Dizon Family, made a scene because she wanted to go with Khalil. He smirked while watching the ferocious Mario Dizon bowed down to his daughter, just to calm her down. The brat was loving it that she could manipulate her father, and Khalil was positive that Cleo wanted something or she wouldn’t cause a scene. Whatever that is, it’s for his father to handle!

“Yoohoo!” Khalil shouted as Alvin drove his convertible car. For thirty-five years, he never felt this good, and free. One week ago, he asked Alvin to post an ad about his need for women regardless of age as long as she’s pretty. “As soon as we’re in the Highland, set up an interview for all those women. “Alvin was an all-around help for Khalil because he could do almost anything. He even wondered what he put in a news ad that they got a long list of applicants.

“Copy that, Boss,” Alvin answered. Mario Dizon hired him to be Khalil’s companion, not his bodyguard, but as the years passed by, he deemed it necessary to learn martial arts and self-defense for Khalil’s sake, even if his Boss was a master of self-defense too. Being the heir of Dizon Group, Mario let him trained with the best in the country to be able to protect himself when the need arises.

“Wait,” Khalil said and Alvin listened. “I’m craving for a chicken from KFC,” he added. He used to have KFC chicken when he was a kid, but Mario wouldn’t let him eat anything from fast food for health reasons.

“Me too,” Alvin answered.

“While we’re at it, you should talk to the manager to deliver at least twenty buckets of chicken every day to the Highland and make sure it’s confidential,” Khalil ordered Alvin and gave him a bundle of one thousand pesos. He was serious when he informed his father that he would be hiding from the public for a while, so it meant no cards allowed. This morning, he asked Alvin to encash a check of ten million pesos, so the duffel bag that was full of cash has at least a hundred bundle of one thousand pesos.

“Noted, Boss. But are you serious about having chicken every day? It was rumored that too much chicken in your diet can make you gay,” Alvin stated.

“Nonsense, what’s the connection? Let’s do it for a week, then.” He was also not sure about having chicken daily, but the girls could have it. Until he could find a good cook from the applicants, they would make do with deliveries and fast food.

“Chicken for a week? Just chicken and rice?” Alvin couldn’t believe what he heard from his boss when Khalil nodded, he shut his mouth and focused on driving.

“Did you contact all the women to be here at nine tomorrow?” He inquired from Alvin as soon as they reached their destination. As he waited for the bulky man to reply, he scanned his neighborhood. Although he spotted several houses from afar, they were on another mountain, and The Highland was overlooking the famous Beverly Hills.

“Yes. Noreen called me this afternoon that she finished screening a hundred women and they’re all clean and no prior experience with men,” Alvin replied in a matter of fact tone.

“Good. I don’t want to have a sullied woman in my harem,” Khalil clenched his jaw as he stated his point.
