Melinda opened her eyes and saw Alexander staring at her with so much adoration in his eyes. She blushed and hid her face as she remembered what had happened between them the previous night. Yeah, she gave herself to Alex and he pleasured her to the heights she had never imagined she could get.

Alex chuckled as he saw Mel hide her face in the pillow. He pulled her closer to his chest and kissed her forehead. “Good morning my love,” Alex said in his sexy husky voice.

“Good morning,” Mel replied shyly, still kind of hiding her face in his chest which Alex found so adorable.

“Feeling good?” Alex asked.

“Yeah, just a little sore,” Mel replied.

“Do you regret it?” Alex asked because he did not regret making love to her.

“No. I actually look forward to more.” Mel said which earned a chuckle from Alex.

“So what do you want us to do today?” He asked her.

“Let’s just cuddle and watch movies,” Mel said as snuggled closer to him.

“Anything for my Queen” Alex said after which he kissed her warm soft pink lips. “I love you.”

“I love you too Alex,” Mel said out of the blue which caused a big smile to appear on Alexander’s face.

“You do?” Alex asked with his eyebrow raised.

“I love you, Alex and I’m sorry it took so long for me to admit that I truly love you,” Mel confirmed, looking Alex straight in the eye.

“You don’t need to apologise baby. You just made me the happiest man on earth.” Alex grinned after which they went back to their cuddling and lovemaking.

The following day.

Mel groaned when her Alarm rang indicating that it is time to prepare for work. She reluctantly sat on her bed after which she grabbed her Bible which was beside her pillow. Mel read a few verses then she said her morning prayers.

After arranging her bed, She made her way into the bathroom to do her morning rituals.

Melinda was busy making her morning tea when the doorbell rang. A wide smile spread across her lips as she knew the love of her life was out there waiting for her to open the door.

“Good morning sweetheart,” Alex said as Mel opened the door.

Melinda closed the gap between them and hugged the hell out of Alex.

“Good morning my love. I missed you.``she said with a pout on her face.

“I missed you too baby,” Alex wrapped his arms around her waist and gave her a light kiss.

“Ready for work?” Alex asked and Mel nodded.

The drive to the office was a very fun and short one. Melinda kept on telling Alex about the company’s current hilarious situation and Alex gave her some advice as and when necessary. And Since Alex and Mel started dating, She had been sitting on the front side along with Alex as opposed to the back seat she usually clings to.

Alex parked the car in front of the company, he got down and went to the other side of the car to open the door for Mel after which they walked into the company side by side, hand in hand, looking happy and making funny conversations together. They were both carefree, ignoring the stares and whispers of people around them.

Alex opened Melinda’s office door; She stepped into her office, placed her bag on her desk and made her way back to Alex.

“I’m going to miss you, my love,” Mel said as she wrapped her arms around Alexander’s neck and kissed him.

“Don’t worry dear, time passes by really fast and before you know it I would be here to pick you up and I don’t mind spending the night at your place,” Alexander said with a smile.

“Promise?” Mel’s asked as her eyes lit up at his reply and Alex nodded after which she smashed her lips to his.

That didn’t last long because they were interrupted by the harsh opening of the door. Mel and Alex quickly released themselves as they looked at the door’s direction and came face to face with an angry-looking Frank.

“Sorry Melinda, I tried to stop him but he tricked me.” Tracy, Mel’s assistant said as she entered Mel’s office with an apologetic look.

“Don’t worry Tracy, I will take care of him. You can get back to work.” Mel said after which Tracy nodded and exited Mel’s office, shutting the door behind her.

“So it’s true? Why are you so stupid Melinda? How could you get intimate with your driver? I knew you were never sensible but for crying out loud, how can you stoop so low?” Frank said furiously.

And before Mel could reply, Alex interrupted her. “Watch your language frank. I won’t let you talk to her that way. One more word from you and I won’t hesitate to deal with you mercilessly.” Alex replied as he was fuming with rage. No one dare talk to the love of his life that way.

Frank ignored Alex statement and directed his next question to Melinda. “What makes you think he’s not like me? Running after you for your money or even worse.” Frank said with a smug on his face.

Alex interrupted Mel before she could talk again. ” I love Mel for who she is and not what she has. you are a disgrace to manhood for treating her that way. One more disgusting word about Mel from your mouth and I won’t hesitate to kill you with my bare hands.” Alex said lowly but his voice held so much hatred and determination to kill.

“I see,” Frank mumbled. “Anyways Mel, congratulations on the divorce, I must say your lawyer did a good job. But know that this is not over. I will destroy you in any way I can. You and this your gold digger.” Frank said with strong determination in his voice after which he exited Mel’s office and slammed the door behind him.

Melinda was shocked at all that had taken place within a twinkle of an eye. Alexander was able to grab her before she gave up on her feet. He carried her and sat her down on the couch.

He took a seat beside her and looked straight into her eyes which were filled with unshed tears.

“Mel please don’t cry. It breaks my heart when you do.” He pulled her into a hug and they both stay like that for a while before Mel broke the hug along with the silence.

“You won’t break my heart right? It’s true that you truly love me? We are going to stay together forever right Alex?” Mel asked as she cupped Alex’s face into her hands looking at him in the eye as she asked those questions. Mel was kind of afraid that something will come in between them. She didn’t want that to happen so she needs assurance from Alex.

“I love you Mel and we will forever be together. Don’t pay attention to all what Frank said. He’s just bitter about the whole divorce issue. He’s angry you won and left him with nothing.” Alex said and Mel nodded.

“Thank you for standing up for me,” Mel said as she intertwined her hands with Alex’s.

“Anything for you my love. As far as I’m with you, he can’t do anything to you.” Alex said after which he kissed Mel on her forehead.

Mel? Spill the beans already” Dee said for the hundredth time as they sat in a restaurant, waiting for their order.

“You won’t give up right?” Melinda chuckled.

“Not until you give me the details of everything,” Dee said.

“Okay, what if I tell you it’s nothing,” Mel said.

“No way. You don’t expect me to believe that Melinda Davis. I Have known you since like forever and this glow on your face is something I’ve never seen before.”

Mel decided to join Dee for lunch at a nearby restaurant beside Dee’s publishing house. And since she arrived, Dee has been bugging her to spill the beans as she suspected something had taken place.

“Okay. uhmmm Alex and i. We did it.” Mel said shyly.

“I knew it.” Dee squealed almost immediately.

“So how was it?” Dee asked anxiously as Mel started blushing.

“Aww, look who is lovesick.” Dee said after which she stretched her hands on the table and took her best friends hands in hers ” You don’t have to say anything Mel. I know it was magical. I’m really happy for you my friend. Alexander is a lucky guy.” Dee said.

“I think I’m the lucky one. I’m so lucky to have him.” Mel said as she took a sip of her drink.

“Either way, I’m happy for both of you, You guys are so cute together and I’m sure you will make adorable babies.” Dee squealed which cause Mel to choke on her drink.

“Dee?” Mel shouted.

“What? I’m just saying. Am I not ripe enough to be an aunt? Dee chuckled as Mel just shook her head in disbelief.
