Chapter 4

"With the launching of the new Imperia Museum of Ancient Antiquities and History, Imperia Luna and her teams of anthropologist and archaeologist had found some of the most ancient yet unknown civilisation to the whole world. This find had stirred quite a lot of speculation regarding of its authenticity. We have received any words from the experts who went to inspect the artefacts that were found,"

The news crew turned around when Imperia walks out from the museum with a smile on her face. Imperia waves at the camera, making sure that her face is shown all throughout the world. He wants to let her family know that she's back.

"The authenticity of this exhibition is confirmed, my doors are open for those who wish to see, the tomb of the long-lost Iron King, please, my historian will explain to you each and every single of the exhibit shown today," Imperia let swarm of people inside her new museum with a smile on her face.

After letting the humans inside, she went to observe Hotep who beginning to explaining the ancient text together with Miss Kingston.

"Honestly Imperia, what do you want to achieve from this? You wish for your family to know about us? Why? Deathwish? And why build a museum? Why not we just build a palace that keeps us all safe from these treacherous humans and your family?" Imperia leans to give Keres a kiss on the cheek.

"I am Imperia Luna. Why should we live in the secluded area when we can slowly make a name for yourself in the presence of the mortals? This museum just a head start from my main plan. I'll create a bigger kingdom to rule over. Why seek revenge when you can have everything if you make the right decision that is," Keres smirk.

"Instead of force yourself to rule over the humans, you want to make a name of yourself and make them look up to us? That is one smart decision. Smarter than the one your father had ever thought of," Imperia smiled.

"Yes, let them know I exist again. Let them tremble when they see my name on this animated box they call a television. Let them squirm under my power over the humans and creatures alike," Imperia were interrupted hen Daphne leans over and inform her about a mysterious group of people who wish to see her in private.

Imperia excuse herself and followed Daphne to her office.

"Hello gentlemen," Imperia smiled as she offering her hands to the group of men.

"We personally came here to congratulate you on the opening of this museum. Although, we hope that you willing to answer a few of our questions, if that's okay," Imperia took the seat behind her desk and waved her hand, telling him to continue.

"Where exactly is the origin of the Iron King? You have to understand our concerns, Miss Luna," Imperia looks up to the humans with intense orbs.

"That's Lady for you," the man apologised for his rudeness.

"Lady Luna," Imperia smiled.

"I am sure my historian has provided you with the necessary information about my debut exhibition. There is nothing to worry about. Everything that my museum exhibits only genuine artefact from the ancient times," the man who spoke earlier wasn't satisfied with Imperia's choice of answer.

"But Lady Luna, we ..." Imperia raised her hand at her guest and snapped her fingers to hypnotise them all. Daphne watches this with eyes widen before sighing hard.

"Do you have any idea who they are? They're the highest ranking members of the antiquities department. What will you get from hypnotising them?" Imperia shrugged

"More coverage?" Daphne was speechless at the vampire's reason.

Evangeline watches as Imperia have a couple of drinks that Miss Waters manage to get for the vampires.

"What is it human?" Imperia asked when she had enough of the human's staring daggers at her.

"It's about my thesis... I can't simply put in words of what you're doing right now. It won't be a thesis if I did," Imperia chuckled.

"Everything you need to know about the great Queen Imperia Luna of Gotus is right here, in my mind. Have a seat and ask me questions that you wish to know about me," Evangeline took this chance and bring out her notepad.

Imperia find it amusing.

"How was your life born as a crown princess of the throne?" Imperia place her glass of blood down and think for a moment. She questions herself about her life as a crown princess.

"It was satisfying. Growing up, my father who wish to have a male heir turn me into a male rather than treating me like a lady. She forced me to take lessons that conquer by male. Luckily for me, I'm a fast learner and learning how to fight was easy for me," Evangeline takes notes of the vampire's early life.

"Do you ... have any siblings other than your half-brother?" Imperia nod.

"I have 2 little sisters. I wonder if they still alive to this day. They tried to stop our father but unfortunately, they were too weak to do anything," Imperia watches as Evangeline eagerly take notes.

"What was your accomplishment as a temporary queen?" Imperia hummed at the question.

"I build a proper source of water and another essential thing for a vampire to have. There was a time while I was ruling that some of my people attack and torture humans but I tried to change that. Unfortunately, not all vampires have a sense of self-control like I do," Imperia sigh when she thinks about how hectic it was.

"My empire was based on proper education and diplomatic ruling. Of course, my father sees that as a preposterous for a vampire to do. His ruling was based on fear and bloodshed. Looking back, what I did was never wrong," Imperia clenched her fist.

Before Evangeline get to ask another question, they both heard some kind of commotion just outside the office. Imperia stood up and walks out to see what was all the noises about.

"What's going on?! This place is not open for 24 hours!" Imperia looks up to the ceiling before sighing hard.

"Who the fuck release the demon?! Hotep?! Keres?!" The demon was laughing when the vampires both pointed to Miss Kingston who just gives the vampires a toothy smile.

***

"Keres, any information about his demon?" Keres shrugged her shoulder.

"Hotep?" Imperia asked the Egyptian princess.

"Hmmm... I've seen it before. In the drawings from the Iron King burial site. The demon is a guardian who was accidentally being release when Miss Kingston knock the little vase down. I think every single case we have in the museum has its own demon reside inside them," Imperia sigh.

"So you mean to say that we just potentially place our own demise in the museum we just build? Good work Hotep, good work," Imperia was mocking Hotep who gasped.

"It's not my idea to bring that vase to the museum, it's Keres. She said that the vase could be one of the exhibits since it's beautifully designed," Imperia turned her attention to the humans.

"Any progress? It's been hours now you two trying to attach the vase again," Evangeline wiped the sweats from her forehead while Daphne glares at the vampire.

"Relax will you! The demon is over there talking to Miss Waters and Miss Kingston. They're doing a good job in keeping the demon at bay," Daphne pointed out that made the vampires impressed yet again.

"I never thought I said this but, I thought demons will take it as it's mission to make human's life miserable. This is not what we expected before," Miss Waters was enjoying her time with the demon. Hotep giggled.

"You've misinterpreted everything right now. Every demon has something plan, but for this particular demon, she's actually planning to suck your life little by little. There is a couple of methods how demons take over a human body. By kissing, touching, killing and possessing the dead body or by having sexual intercourse with the victim. I'm sure you heard of succubus and incubus before," Miss Waters nod.

"This demon summoned by the Iron King advisor to trick humans or anyone who dares to disturb the Iron King's resting place. These vases, of content several different demons. You're lucky too that this demon in the vase you broke because if you broke the one that has horn-like protruding from its side, it stores a demon that will release its wrath upon the human world," Hotep cleared her throat when Miss Kingston was about to touch another vase.

"For an anthropologist, you sure are clumsy," Keres spat her hand away before taking each vase and store it in a glass display case.

"It's done!" Daphne announced and showed everyone the once broken vase. Imperia was impressed.

"This looks like new to me. How did you two even have the talent for this?" Miss Kingston asked.

"We took arts and craft for the additional subject when we were freshmen," Evangeline explained. Imperia motioned for Hotep to lead the demon inside its vase again but it seems that the demon refuses to cooperate. Imperia closed her eyes and reveal her pitch black eyes.

The demon cowers in fear behind Hotep. The humans look at each other before witnessing something they haven't seen before.

"I command you to enter your domain, now!" Imperia commanded. The demon did as tell before Hotep close the lid.

"That's one of Imperia's trait, complete obedience. Ever wonder why most of her followers stick to her till the end? She is wise, smart and thinks further into the future rather than most of the rulers in our time. She even condemns as blasphemous for bringing Gotus to its glory," Keres sigh.

"Anyway, Evangeline, Daphne, tomorrow we'll be going somewhere. I want to show you something that never been seen before," Evangeline and Daphne look at each other, worries were across their faces.

"With you?" Evangeline questions.

"We rater stayed," Daphne decline but Hotep steps in.

"Why? Keres has a lot of knowledge about the ancient world. She will lead you two to your own glory. Yes, she's quite unbearable sometimes but she does have a good side. Don't worry, she won't dare to drink your blood. Imperia needs you, humans, Keres won't dare to upset the queen. Isn't that right, Keres?" Hotep wiggling her eyebrows.

"Of course not, the queen will have my head if so," Keres smiled but it wasn't sincere at all.

***

"Where are we? This is in the middle of nowhere," Daphne look around, trying to find a clue of where they were. One moment they were all inside the museum, but in just blink of an eye, they suddenly appeared in this barren place. All they remembered was hearing Keres snapping her fingers.

"This gave me such a Harry Potter vibe. Remember Diagonal Alley scene?" Daphne nod when Evangeline slightly showing her Potterhead side.

"This is what left of my kingdom. I'm sure you remember that I am a princess of an ancient kingdom. This place used to be a prosperous kingdom where everyone lives in harmony. That is before King of Gotus, Imperia's father decided to attack my kingdom and force my father to walk down his own throne," Evangeline was writing on her notepad while Daphne looking bored.

"How did the queen falls in love with you?" Evangeline asked the vampire who kneels on the ground and touches the earth where she was born at.

"Oh, I was sold as a slave by the slave trader. The queen saw me, bought me with on 2 gold coins and since then, she takes care of me. She has a lot of lovers while I was a slave but none of them knows how to make the queen happy," Keres smiled.

"Imperia acknowledge my status and announced all over Gotus that I am a princess who will be their future queen. Her father was enraged by this and that's one of the reasons why she was placed inside the golden casket," Keres chuckled as she walks through the barren land. The humans follow.

"The reason why the king chooses his son instead of Imperia was that he's afraid that she might destroy the kingdom he had built. Truth be told, the son destroy his kingdom like he feared," Keres giggles before spreading her arms grandly.

"Even Gotus, the strongest kingdom in the world has fallen because of someone's stupidity," Evangeline halt and pulled Daphne with her.

"Oh ... my God," the human's were surprised to see rumbles of the ancient kingdom still exist for them to see. Daphne took pictures of it and explore the ruins.

"We're going to display this ruin as an attraction affiliated with the museum. I want you two to be the humans who miraculously found this ruins and who knows, jumpstart your own career as ... what do you call it?"

"Anthropologist," Daphne whispered while examining the walls of the ancient kingdom.

"I thought you hate us. We're low breed like you said when we first met," Keres laughed at Evangeline who remembered their first conversation.

"Hate is a big word. It's just, in my time, humans seem to be breeding like roaches. Everywhere I go, there are humans. Of course, I don't hate the idea since humans are vampires sources of food. Please breed as many as you can," Daphne just realised something.

"I feel like we humans used to farming other humans for you guys to feed on. Another reason for me to never marry or date anyone," Evangeline chuckled.

"What happened to Arthur?" Evangeline question Arthur's place in Daphne life since they came out as a couple not long ago.

"Arthur? He's just someone for me to toy with. Well, it seems that he's toying with me. One of our classmates sent me a picture of him and a woman having romantic dinner while I'm unwilling to volunteering with this," Daphne wave it off.

Keres noticed something is not right when she feels like somebody is watching them.

"I'll be damn... I was right to come here right from the start," Keres pulls the humans behind her before something happens to them.

"Hmm... it's nice to see you again, King Baracus Luna," the vampire snarl at Keres for revealing his name to the humans.

"Humans, meet the very creature that took Imperia's position as queen of Gotus, Baracus Luna, the damn vampire who thinks he's all that but he's not," Baracus rolls his eyes.

"You know Keres, my father made a mistake for keeping you inside the damn ruins rather than burning you to death. He should make you disappear from this very existence!" Keres chuckled.

"Says the one who wasn't born with the pureblood vampire in his vein," that tick Baracus off.

"Says the slave!"

"At least I am a pureblood! Unlike you, a poser, a loser who thinks he's all that!" Baracus's rage risen.

"SILENCE! I know once I saw my sister on the news, I knew she will come here! Where is she! I shall finish my father's job for not killing that nuisance!" Baracus expressions turn to grim when he felt a presence behind him. As he slowly turns, Imperia was standing there, glaring at him.

"Baricus Luna. Is that how you speak to someone older than you?" Baracus tries to fight the fear he's experiencing but it's not working. He wonders to himself, where does this fear coming from. He looks at his guards where they all kneel on the floor, unwillingly showing respect to the former queen.

"Kneel, Baracus," Baracus screams when he feels like the earth pulled him to the ground, showing respect to his sister.

"Now, it's not that hard, right?" Imperia walks to Keres and the humans before facing Baracus.

"How are you, Baracus?" Imperia asked.

***

"Father should've killed you! You're a nuisance in his life and in this family. Go to hell with your modern thinking!" Imperia laughed.

"Oh I went to hell and it was gorgeous! You shouldn't come here with these pathetic little guards of yours. I can kill them with my power easily!" Imperia took a step closer.

"Tell me Baracus, how is it possible for you to destroy a kingdom? Father must be proud of you," Baracus smirk.

"He's dead! He's being too much of a nuisance like you so I had to kill him," Imperia was surprised by this information.

"No wonder the kingdom just disappear from the world. He's dead so you have no one to turn to when you face some problems along the way," Imperia started to laugh together with Keres.

Baracus manage to free himself from the absolute obedience jay was cast on him and lunges towards Imperia. Keres stood in front of Imperia.

"You're millennia too young to kill me, Baracus," Baracus was thrown away before he could even land a hit on Imperia. Keres scoffed.

"Don't touch the queen," Imperia continues to laugh before grabbing Baracus by the collar.

"I wish to kill you and I won't. I would like to see you cowers in the corner engulf in fear," Imperia let go of Baracus's collar and watched him run towards the forest with his guards.

"Stupidity comes a long way for that boy. Can you believe that's the king of Gotus? I am embarrassed to even related to him," Imperia picks up something that fell from Baracus.

She examined the relic and smiled.

"Would you look at that. My father's ring. This is a family heirloom," Imperia decided to wear the ring.

"Let's find my mother and sisters, shall we? Also, please tell Hotep to track Baracus down. I'm sure she knows where to start. I want him dead before he cause anymore trouble for me," Keres nod while Imperia smiled.

"And I assume you know where to find my family?" Keres smiled.

"Maybe, I'm not sure yet,"
