Chapter 6

LARISSA'S POV

I woke up with the feeling my heart would exploded from nervousness. I stood up from my bed and took a cold shower. After drying myself with a towel, I put on my cheer uniform and then makeup. I decided to put my hair in a high ponytail to make my eyes popped. Looking at myself again, satisfy, I began to put extra clothing in my duffle bag. I'm pretty sure practice will be hell today. I've been skipping a lot. Christina will be yelling more than usual. I'm sure of it. While I was too engrossed on tying my shoe, I heard a loud honk. I took a peek from my room window and saw a red sports car.

I sighed. Does she ever own any normal car? Again, another honk! Jesus! She's relentless! I quickly put everything in my backpack and duffle bag and sprinted out. I decided to skip breakfast. I kissed my family goodbye. "Good luck for today," my mom said with a small smile. Today will be a very awkward day for me. I walked to Carmen who was leaning on her car door. She noticed I was eyeing the car. "It's a Ferrari Enzo." She said and opened the car door for me. "Come on. We're late." I got in and watched her walked around the car to the driver's seat and drive to school.

I haven't said anything. Neither has Carmen. Maybe she's annoyed she has to have me around so much. She seems ok with it when they asked me but what if she's not. Great! Now I'm even more nervous than before. I'm so deep in thought that I don't even notice we pulled up at the school's student parking lot. I noticed the twin's outside, smiling at us. I'm pulled out of my thoughts when Carmen opens my door for me. "Larissa." She called and smiled. I love the way she says my name. Her voice is so soft. I look up at her and the look she gives me makes all of those nervous feeling disappear. She offered me her hand. I took it and she helped me out. "It's about time you guys show up." Christina said checking her watch.

Christina motioned us to start walking. The four of us start to walk into the school building together. As we entered, everyone was staring with wide eyes. I know they are wondering how someone gets to walk with the Larove sisters. I know that because I have wondered that myself. The way the twins walk is filled with confidence. It's like they both in a high fashion catwalk. Every step they took has meanings, showing how great and flawless they are. I looked beside me to see Carmen walked sloppily. I chuckled. She really doesn't care about all of this. As we all walking to our lockers, a voiced stop me from walking. I turned to see Jonathan, the school popular basketball captain. I smiled. I did have a crush on him but after Carrie told me he's a jerk, the feeling is gone.

"Hey Jonathan," I politely greet him. He gave me his charming smile. "Hey. I was wondering if you would accompany me to the pep rally next week?" oh yea! The pep rally! I totally forgot about that. "You do know I will be with the cheer squad right?" he nodded. "Yes but we can hangout right?" I feel like somebody is eyeing me. I turned to see Carmen looking at me while the twins talk to each other. She never left her gazed from me. What is she doing? Is she jealous? Jonathan keep on talking to me but I completely ignore him. Doesn't he get the message? "I take that as a yes?" he suddenly said. I looked at him confused. "What?" "I said will you go with me to the pep rally." He said and caressed my cheek. Before I get to say anything, we were startled by a loud 'BOOM'. We turned to see a dent locker. I turned to look for Carmen.

She's walking to her locker with clenched fist. Did I cause that? I looked at the twin sisters and they just laughed at me. I turned to Jonathan. "I'm sorry. Somebody already asked me out." I walked away from him and to the twins. "Oh Larissa! Hahaha... This will be ... hahahaha... A lot of fun!" Christina said between laughed. Everyone was staring. Not because of the twins but it's because they hardly see Christina laughed in public. The twins walk away and leave me all confused. What the fuck did I just do?!

CARMEN'S POV

That boy was flirting with her and she's just all friendly with him while I'm a foot away from them! I don't care if my knuckled were bleeding. I just want to get out of that stupid moment. Ugh! We're not even official yet! Why am I acting like this! I screamed my frustration and broke the window with my fist. A couple of student came running to look at what happened but stopped when they notice me. I gave them my deathly glare. By now my fist is bleeding heavily. I just shake the pain away and grabbed a white cloth from my bag. I don't even bother to wash the blood away. After I'm done bandaging my fist, I proceed to class. I know by now class must have started. I just walked to the science lab and open the doors loudly. Without explaining my lateness, I just sit at the back.

After hours of agonizing pain in my ears, finally its lunch time. I walked towards the cafeteria without any care and I noticed my sisters and Larissa at the table. I walked to them and just sit silently. "What happen to your fist?" Catherine asked me. I just let her see for herself. All three of them gasped. I looked at my fist and it's all bruised and turned blue. I just shrugged and Christina sighed. Catherine took a mini first aid kit from her bag. "I'm sorry," Larissa said. "What for?" I asked her. "I cause that. Did I?" "Nope, I'm just stressing out," I flinched when Catherine pour the alcohol on my cuts. "Looks like the princess hurt herself. Again!" the most annoying voice decided to butt in. I looked up to see Venus Daniels, the bitch queen.

"Shut up or I'll make you like I did to your brother!" I spat venomously. Catherine held my shoulders down. "Go away Venus," Christina warned her. Venus didn't move at all. "Your sister will pay for what she did to my brother!" Venus said with venom. I can feel my blood boiled. I was clenching my fist tightly. She dares to put the blame on me! "You better watch your back Carmen Larove," I stood up with anger. "YOUR FUCKING BROTHER KILLED MY SISTER YOU BITCH!" I screamed at her. All eyes were on me. By now my anger is at capacity. I can't control it anymore. I just want to kill everyone! I grabbed Venus's shirt collar and slammed her head on the cafeteria table. "YOUR FUCKING BROTHER DECIDED TO DRUNK DRIVE AND KILLED MY SISTER! HE LIVES! CASSANDRA DIDN'T! SHE DIED!" I screamed and pressed her head even harder.

Catherine and Christina tried to stop me. I can't. Cassandra died because of her brother. I tried to saves her by covering her body but she died anyway! Suddenly I felt another soft hand on my shoulders. Her scent calmed me down. I know this scent. It's Larissa. "Carmen, that's enough," her soft voice whispered in my ears. I began to loosen my gripped on Venus's head. "She's not worth it. Don't do something stupid," her voice is like ecstasy for me. What is happening to me? Why her voice does calm me down?

I looked up to see Larissa's smiling angelic face. "Come and sit with me. Let's eat," I slowly nodded eyes still on her face. As I beginning to relax, Catherine hugged me. "Carmen! You scared me!" I should stop making her anxious. "I'm sorry," I said. She caressed my back. "It's ok. Christina is handling her now." "You never let anyone hold you when you're angry. You let Larissa touched you. Why?" she whispered enough for me to hear. "I have no idea Cath," I said truthfully.

I have no idea why I let her. Is it because of her scent? Or is it her voice? Her presence made me feel a little happier. The feeling I never felt after Cassandra's death. Should I accept her in my life? I already feel I need to protect her. I know my heart wants her. "Let's go shopping after cheer practice. Carmen, Larissa, it will be compulsory for you to be there," Christina said when she came back. I nodded. I looked to see my sisters with their famous smirked on their faces. What are they planning now?
