Chapter 4

I didn’t know how many times I gulped and halted on our way down the dining hall. And every time I will do that, Linda would instruct me to just go ahead or ask me what is happening.

“Nothing,” I abruptly answered for I do not know how many times. I heard her sighed and guided me the way. My feet is really itching to run away from this long hallway and just go back to my own room. Right! I could do that and just said that I am not feeling well! After all they are implying that I have an amnesia and I just woke up from an accident. I am so smart!

“Argh,” I stopped from walking and dramatically put my hands on my head as I pretended to be so dizzy. I saw Linda quickly assisting me to stand, her cold hands touching my arms and I shivered at the thought that she could easily scratch my skin! I move my arms away from her and looked at her with drowsy eyes.

“What happened, Princess?” she asked worriedly. Eyes busy examining the wrong. I am such a good actress.

“My head is throbbing, I think I needed to take a rest,” I flamboyantly expressed my disease. Her eyes turned wide and she nodded, I turned my back and was about to sing my victory song in my head when she speak again.

“I will just bring you your dinner, Princess. And call some doctor to run some test,” this time it was my eyes’ turn to widened. Doctors! Test! Oh shit, that is more worse than this, they could easily get my blood and figure out that I am no vampire.

Like a horrified puppy, I turned to her again, this time a fake and nervous smile pasted on my lips, I stood up straightly and tilted my head.

“Oh look! I am not feeling dizzy anymore!” I cheered up and motioned the confuse Linda to lead the way. She followed me but I saw how she tilted her head, very confused with my action. I mentally sighed and cursed myself. I nearly get myself killed! Yes, I want to die but at least let me know what really is happening!

A frowned on my face, we graced the hall of this big mansion. Only the sound of my heels kissing the floor echoing on the walls. This is creepy, really. We walked down the big spiral and elegant staircase and I can’t help but stared in awe.

From the smallest to biggest detail in here is sculpted and designed to life! The old yet elegant looking chandelier hanging on the ceiling with a colored of blood. Every furniture in here looks vintage and expensive!

“Princess, this way,” Linda said standing at the end of the stairs. Slowly, I let my feet glide on the carpeted stairs, the wooden railing looking so majestic with its carved in it.

I suddenly imagine myself having my debut here, I am wearing a bid ball gown in a color of red, everyone looking up to me as I make way like a real woman getting introduce to everyone. I bitterly smiled, all I could do is imagine.

I walked with Linda as we passed by many rooms and spaces. We finally stopped on a big wooden door, maids in their assigned dresses, lining up and bowing as they open the door. I forced my jaw not to dropped when a big spacious dining area welcomed us, a big chandelier hanging on the ceiling, a long elegant and wooden table at the center and a big furry black carpet lying under it. Each chairs deigned to life as if their guests would always be someone very important. I cleared my throat when I saw a man sitting at the far center of the table.

“This way Princess,” Linda motioned her hands. I balled my hands into fist as I gathered all my courage, slowly stepping each maids bowing their head.

Can I shout or something? The scene looks so damn creepy with all of them shutting their mouth and the said Rozimo Hades Dieu looking so cold, dark air surrounding his broad shoulders.

Clearing my throat, I turned to Linda and flashed her a ‘where the hell should I sit?’ look. She panicked a bit and pointed the sit right beside Hades. I almost scoff while sitting when my eyes dropped on his stoic face.

I wonder if he has more expression aside from that cold blank face? What does he looked like when smiling? I bet he can surpassed those models just by standing and arching one of his brows. My face heated at the thought and when I tried looking at him, he’s just eating there in silent.

I sighed in relief before picking up the utensils and start eating. In all fairness with their food here, it is all edible, I mean, I expected that since they are vampires their food is kind of raw and fresh with blood still dripping from the meat. Gawking at the foods I can’t help but licked my lips and placed them all on my plate.

“Prepare for yourself tomorrow we will be touring the whole kingdom.” his cold voice made me halt from eating. My chewing slowed down and I looked at him with a ridiculed face.

Hades doesn’t even seem bothered, he just continue on his food like he didn’t say something. The thought of me exploring with vampires around me made me felt so cold.

What did I really do to deserve these? I exaggeratedly sighed while my hands flew to my head, acting like a pained woman.

“Ouch. My head still hurts. I think I might not be able to join you,”

I caught his brows arching while a ghost of smile appeared on his lips. Hades put down his fork and knife before wiping his mouth with a table napkin.

“Hmm. Let’s first go on a hospital then,” he simply said making my eyes faltered wide. I cleared my throat and shook my head, my arms stretching in the air.

“Oh! What is that... why am I suddenly feeling so fine? I guess because I’m a vampire right?” I awkwardly chuckled. I turned to him only to see his head tilting a bit and a smile already on his red lips. My jaw dropped at the sight of his so beautiful smile.

“Silly girl,”
