Chapter Four

Fear clawed through the three men, having seen the snippers attack.  The man with swords said to himself, 'Running isn’t an option.  Our only option is, to' running towards them, 'charge forward.'  He swung his swords at the older man, but he dodged the attacks while enjoying the moment. The older man dodged another attack and as the other man raised his hands preparing to strike again, he was kicked on his chest, sending him to the ground.
The older man then jumped on him with his axe forward.
The man with swords put his two swords forward to block the attack, but the axe shattered the swords, cutting through his left shoulder.  The man groaned in pain and kicked the man with the axe, sending him backwards together with his axe.
The man whose weapons were blades ran towards the injured friend while trying to hit the man with an axe but to no avail.
He said to himself, 'Maybe if I swiftly reach him, I may have a chance.'  He increased his speed and stepped on a rock, then exerted pressure before diving towards his direction.  He was inches away from him; however, a bullet tore through his arm, throwing him behind and he staggered steps behind before falling to the ground.
The man with an axe groaned in pain as he looked at the blade that had pierced the upper side of his leg.
He looked at the man who had been shot and said, “You must have seen it coming, but you had no way to evade it,” pulling out the blade.
The last person with an axe said to himself, I can’t watch as they get slaid one after another, holding his axe tighter, I must do something.
He ran towards the person without a weapon, hoping to land a hit on him.  The man with no weapon said, “You have made a big mistake.”  He blew a black substance in the air, which turned into crows.
The person with an axe smiled and said, 'What, do you think birds can hurt me?
'  The crows went in his direction, and the man who had summoned them shouted while stretching out his hand, “Now!”  And the birds’ feathers became blades cutting him severally, as he tried to avoid them.  They stopped attacking and he stood frozen while his body bleed, he looked at his friends as he spat out blood and he said, “Am ……. s…sorr…. sorry.”  The person with arrows shot three arrows at his throat, killing him.
The man with swords said, “You’ll pay for what you’ve done,” the man with an axe said, “The only thing that will happen is us getting our pay,” hitting the ground with the axe creating a blast that killed both humans.

People screamed in fear of seeing their own loved ones killed.
“Please have mercy.  Somebody, help!”  Shouted a woman.
A man holding a sword put it in front of her and said, “No one will be coming this time,” cutting her throat.

Clouds began to gather and thunder rumbled.
The wind produced loud sounds as it blew in the distance.  It was followed by the flapping of wings that was getting nearer with each passing moment.  A man said, “Something big is in the skies.
Another said, “That can only be a dragon, they are the only largest monsters I have known to roam the skies.

The flapping become louder and finally, there was a loud crushing sound that sent shivers down the peoples’ spines.
It had landed in the palace gates and t released a loud growl creating a lightning bolt.  The clouds rumble, and then it struck the dragon changing him back to a human and breaking the palace gates.  When the dust had settled there were creatures which were half humans and half-monsters, which were bowing down before him.
He stood to his feet then nodded his head and the creatures went in different directions.
They appeared anywhere, where his followers were being attacked and killed the assassins who were present.  A portal appeared after the assassins were defeated and all the followers went through.
The king asked a soldier, “What’s happening?
 Was there a monster attack?”
The soldier answered, “We are being attacked by a large dragon.
 One never seen before”
“No matter how big, don’t we have the best dragon hunters?
 Where are they all?
“They were all killed by the dragon, none landing a single attack on it.
We must get you out of here immediately, this is no normal dragon,” locking eye contact with the king, “it is a dark-class dragon.
He fell to his knees, disbelieving what he heard.
His father had once told him that dark-class dragons are very strong and are capable of destroying kingdoms in a short time.  Rocks flew towards the king as the wall crumble but he jumped away.  The hammer lord walked inside and the king was shocked on seeing him.
The king said, “Impossible, you died.
 It was confirmed.
The hammer lord continued walking towards him and threw the headless corpse of the leader of the assassins.
“There he is.  You can confirm for yourself.
The king continued moving backwards, “Please don’t kill me.
I ……… take half of the kingdom.”  Seeing he was not stopping he said, “It’s not enough?  Take the whole kingdom but ………….,” his voice dying down.
The hammer lord hit him with a chain and rolled on the ground, till he fell out from the building which was high from the ground, breaking most bones.
The hammer lord jumped from the building, landing on the ground in an upright posture.  He stepped on the king’s chest and he coughed out blood from his nose, bleeding.  The hammer lord said in a deep voice, “You all took my kindness for granted, now I shall show you the true definition of fear.  All who stood by me were sent to a faraway region.  But to all of you,” looking at one human after another, “you shall be, but memorise.
He raised his hand and his hammer appeared, he then hit the ground killing all who were in close range.
He then touched the ground, it opened and out came different monsters consuming the people and turning the place into a disaster.
