Chapter 6: A Letter From the Palace

The sun poured through the windows of the subjects in the kingdom. Another day had dawned, bringing with it new hopes and aspirations.  No one could foretell what was going to happen, no one knew that things were to change in a blink of an eye.

Angelia had fled to this town called Warrington, which was a few miles from Varia City.

In the same town came the horse riders with their horses which broke into a gallop.
Two of the horses pulled a private four-wheeled vehicle - a carriage - from the royal palace to this territory.

Only two things could show that whoever was coming was from the palace stationed in Varia City, one was the royal flag which was put on the cover of the carriage and two was the star mark on the horse's face.

From the carriage came a man with long curly hair, dressed up in a tailcoat. He walked up to the raised level surface on which people can stand and as soon as he set foot onto it, the people left all that they were doing and surrounded him.

"Greetings to you Lovarians," he said, opening a letter from the envelope which he had. The letter had a royal seal which meant that it had come from the palace.

Subjects of Lovaria Kingdom, It has been confirmed by the royal family and the royal staff that Ashford the king of Great Lovaria passed away in the last night, up to now those left in the royal family continue to mourn for the great king that Great Lovaria had.

Lovarians, It is unfortunate that not only the king passed away but also his wife Queen Elsa and her newborn. It is with no doubt that this day will never be forgotten in our history, the day we lost our great leaders. And the day our sons and daughters lost their heroes, heroes whom they admired.

Not a word came out from the crowd, they had all frozen.

One man came out of the crowd and shouted," What kind of joke is this! Citizens of Lovaria, you are too wise to be fooled by these weirdos."

"Enough, you pompous fool. Didn't you see the royal seal on the letter?" shouted the one who had read the letter aloud, "Listen, Lovarians will always acknowledge this seal, anyone who doesn't is against the kingdom and shall be punished."

Since there was nothing else to announce, they galloped away.

"Lovarians, we are doomed, who knows what kind of ruler Edric will be," said one of the many people around.

Another man in his 50's mumbled, "Lovarians, I don't think prince Edric can sit on the Lovarian throne because I had rumour's somewhere that Edric may not be Alexander's son, it could be that he was just raised by the royal family."

Immediately the rest of the crowd began to murmur, they couldn't believe it, they wanted to protest to make sure that Prince Edric isn't crowned as King for they had a good reason.

"Stop whatever you are planning, Lovarians," an old man shouted. "Lovarians, you are playing with fire, I'm afraid that you don't know what you are messing with."

Some in the crowd said, "Old man, we respect you a lot, but we can't just sit here and do nothing when a person like him is being crowned and from what we have learned, he isn't Alexander's son.

"Lovarians, I understand where you are coming from, but do you know what could happen after you say those words or protest!"

"Nothing can happen to us because the Guards of Great Lovaria will be with us and protect us, this is what they vowed to do before king Ashford," the crowd boldly said.
