7. Forgive me

                      Stacey's p.o.v

I walked back and forth in my office then sat down feeling very worried for some unknown reason.

I left Lewis still asleep and gave Lizzy a few rules to follow on how to treat him, I also avoided Roy the whole day, I was suppose to go back home because it was past working

hours but sadly my guilt couldn't let me.

A knock on my door startled me, I quickly got up and went to the door debating whether to open it or not, after all, I missed work without Roy's permission, I was going to be fired. The knock sounded again, I took in a deep breath then opened the door.

"Welcome back," Roy said with a smile.

"Thank you, sir," I answered nervously.

"I knocked the first time but you didn't answer in time," he said seriously.

"I'm sorry sir, I apologize," I answered.

"No, it's fine, it's just that I came to greet you, you see I heard that your condition worsened yesterday," he said as I smiled falsely, whoever told him lies did a great job, it meant I was safe for a while.

"Yes I wasn't feeling well but I'm now fine sir, thank you so much for coming," I answered.

"Well I would have come to visit your place, but I don't know where you stay," he said as I laughed trying to act friendly.

"Sir I'm sorry for not giving you the address and thank you for covering for me," I said as he smiled

"It's okay, you are very hard working so it was an honour, anyway I have to get back to my office because I still have work to do," he answered.

"Okay Sir," I said.

He turned and left my office, I slowly moved to my chair and sat down surprised.

It was still hard to accept that Roy was a kind director but then he treated me more nicer than others

"Why are you treating me kindly Roy?" I asked myself loudly.

"Maybe it's because he is into you" Becky answered stating me.

"Becky what he hell," I said loudly.

"I'm sorry if I scared you but your door was wide open," she answered.

"Whatever, why are you here?" I asked.

"I'm here to take you to dinner," she said calmly.

I stood up and picked up my bag from the desk.

"Why are we going out today?" I asked then walked past her.

"Because it's been long since we had a nice evening which doesn't involve arguing," she answered behind me.

"And whose fault is it that we argue?" I asked.

"Yours of course," she answered as we stepped out of the office.

"This again?" I asked seriously.

"If you don't want to go there with me you can always leave in your own car," she said.

"No it's not that Becky, I'm actually very happy to see you," I answered honestly.

"You don't have to pretend Stacey, I know you too well, when was the last time you called or texted me to just say a simple hello, you would rather stick with that mad man than me your best friend who has always been there for you in all your life," she said angrily.

"Look Becky, I know I haven't been the ideal best friend lately but that doesn't give you the right to call Lewis mad, I hate the fact that you look at him differently," I said as she froze for a few seconds then laughed loudly.

"Wow so you don't want me to call him mad, is he now sane, did his family show up and take him away?" She asked mockingly.

"No Becky they didn't show up, Lewis is still living with me," I answered seriously.

"Lewis, you even had guts to name him, don't you realize that you are acting weird?" she again.

"I don't care, and Lewis is what I call him, do you have a problem with that?" I asked as she laughed louder than before.

"Gosh Stacey please open your fucking eyes, you named him just like that, my God, are you falling in love with a mad man, do you want me to help you find someone worth your time, I promise I can hook you up with a normal man who is kind, wealthy, respectful and loving," she said loudly.

I was having a headache over our argument, it really was growing old.

"Enough Becky, I'm sick and tired of anyone trying to tell me what to do! that is my house, it's my own life and you shouldn't say a word about it, don't act all superior, please try and mind your own business you have your own damn life, not that you are perfect miss fuck every wealthy trousers you see, you are like a needy sIut in heat, you only care about sucking and being used by them," I said sarcastically.

She looked at me then rubbed her eyes as tears rolled on her cheeks shocking me, it was my second time seeing her cry, she was too full of herself to even shade a single tear, now that she was I felt bad.

"Becky," I whispered sadly.

"No, you have made it clear you don't need me in your life, and just because I have a little fun doesn't mean I'm a slut in heat who fucks every rich man she see's," she said while crying.

"Oh Becky please I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way," I said softly.

"I thought you thought of me as family, but it was all in my head, you thought of me as a gold digger, a sex freak. I know that I can be disrespectful at times but never have I insulted you in such a way," she said then went to her car as I quickly followed.

"Becky I'm sorry, please forgive me, I didn't mean it when I said all those hurtful words. It's just that I'm very tired, please, believe me, you know I have been stressing out a lot lately, you are the only family I have, and remember sisters stick together through good and bad times, I'm begging you," I said.

She turned And looked at me then wiped off her tears.

"You know, how about you hook me up with someone, I would love to go on a date," I said as she frowned.

"Really, you promise to be nice to him?" She asked.

"Yes, I promise sis, I will do my best to be nice so please Forgive me," I said.

"I will, only if you go on a date with someone I will choose for you tonight," she said.

I was very tired and I wanted to say no, but I couldn't, I was afraid she was going to walk out of my life.

"Sure, do drive me home so I can prepare myself," I answered.

She smiled then

happily hugged me as I hugged her back.
