Aren't you tired

"What should I do to make you come with me this Saturday?" He said with pleading eyes. He's really cute.

"Nothing." His faced suddenly turned into confusion. He doesn't need to do anything just to win my yes. After all, there's nothing he can do to change my mind. It is settled. I can see his frustration even though he's trying to hide it from me. He really can't lie when it comes to me. One of the things that I like about him. He's too transparent to me.

We're in the Cafeteria and I can't really tell that we're both eating peacefully because of him who's persistently annoys me about their party. Three days before the event. I'm really determined not to come. First thing first, it's out of my league and second, not my thing at all. I'm not good at talking to people. Cringe for me, I guess. What can I do? I really can't. Why force?

"Because I want my parents to meet the girl that I'm telling to." I froze at what he just said. I told you, he's too transparent to me.

"You better to stop talking like that, Lewis." I coldly said and continued eating my lunch in peace.

"Why?" I heard him but I ignored him and that makes me able to finished my food.

We're already walking at the School grounds but he keep asking why and it annoys the hell out of me. He just can't stop from being kid and I'm running out of patience. Damn you, Lewis Everett.

I immediately stop from walking and shot him with deadly glares.

"Aren't you tired from keep asking me why?" I failed at being not so calm anymore. It irritates me, annoys me and I'm really out of patience. He frowned like a kid. I sighed. "If you keeps talking to me like that," I stared at him seriously. He suddenly behaved and wanted to hear more what I'm about to say. Minute after he spoke again.

"What?" He asked again, impatiently. I sighed in defeat.

"You might move my heart this time, you little shit." I coldly said but dead serious. He should take me seriously if he won't, I'll really kill him. His jaw literally dropped as soon as he heard what I said. His mouth formed like a big O means 'Oh'. I smacked him in the head. He looked at me in shocked as he held the back of his head.

"That hurts, Eleanor!" He said, almost shouting in pain but he suddenly smiled as he looked at me. "But if it takes for you to be honest about your feelings then so be it. I would love to be hurt, but by only you not anyone else." He said seriously so do I.

"Promise me," I say softly, making him confused. I stared at him coldly. "No one can hurt you, but only I can." He chuckled while smiling at me as he messed my hair again. I glared at him. He suddenly became serious.

"I promised." He sincerely said.

One of the things that I like about him, being pure and sincere on anything. He always smiles and laughs but always taking it seriously when it comes to me. There's one time, someone told him I was kidnapped and he easily believed it and turns out that person has a big grudges against him. He's lucky that we've met in the hallway so he ended up beating the guy. He needs to work on his anger management though.

As we walked out the Campus, I suddenly remember Harvey. "Where's Harvey?" He stayed silent. I noticed that he clenched his jaw.

"Didn't I warn you about not mentioning his name?" My forehead suddenly creased in confusion. Minute after I saw Harvey smiling at me and putting his arms to my shoulder.

"Fuck! Here we go again." Lewis whispered while gritting his teeth in annoyance. Oh, now I get it. All of a sudden I chuckled, because of his cuteness. Lewis is really adorable when he's having his temper, sometimes it makes me think about pinching his nose. He stopped from glaring at his cousin and started to look at me while blinking in shock.

"Waah! You are really cute Lea!" Harvey said, giggling in amusement. "So where are we going?" Harvey asked. The both of them looked at me, waiting for my answer.

"What?" I said as Lewis only shrugged his shoulders as answer. Harvey just nods as he already expected our answers.

"Not questionable that you're both useless." I closed my fists in annoyance as I saw Lewis glared at his cousin. "Whoa, hey! I'm just kidding!" He said laughing as he both raised his hands in defeat. "I know a place."

The next thing I knew, we're already at the beautiful beach in Crest Woods. Lewis pull over his car as we all walked together in the white sand while barefoot as we all holding our own shoes in our hands. It was already sunset which makes it more beautiful.

"It's gorgeous." I said, almost whispering.

"Yes, it is gorgeous." I heard Lewis said right beside me and I could feel his stares at me. Doofus. I know where you're looking at. I just smiled on that thought as I closed my eyes. and then breath out. It was refreshing here. Relaxation it is. It's like, I could escape from all my shits here. What a paradise indeed.

When I opened my eyes, I saw Lewis smiling while staring at me at the same time. My forehead creased as I fought his stares.

"Aren't you tired from smiling and staring at me?" I suddenly asked him while we're already both sitting comfortably in the white sand as I looked up in the sunset. Harvey was fooling around, playing in the beach with some guys he knows.

"Never. I could do it for a thousand years more." I turned my gazed at him. He was also looking up in the sunset, smiling. "Only if you let me." He continued as he returned his gazed at me, still smiling handsomely. I avoided his stares and looked up again in the beautiful sky.

"I always... let you."
