Princes pov

As soon as Sin walked into the room his eyes began to search for the plain but beautiful girl. He sees her in the back looking forward with a look of aw and worry. Which in his opinion was still beautiful. He greeted his father as he always does then took a step over to look at the girl he seeks and smiles as they make eye contact.

Emperors pov

The emperor notices his son seemed to look at the same girl he did. This made him proud that his son could see the beauty in the kindness the girl seemed to possess. With this knowledge in mined he told the advisers who would be walking among the girls picking the ones to stay to make sure this girl is picked and to choose the other girls to stay with little questioning sines it seemed his son has already made his decisions.

Meilen POV

Everyone seemed to tens as the advisers started to walk among the girls telling many to leave and go home. Meilen only hoped the advisers would send him home so he could just be done with all this. The advisers walked from girl to girl asking simple questions then telling most to leave. Some girls cry and run out of the room while others just smile ready to go home to their lovers or family. Since Meilen is at the vary back and there are hundreds of girls to look through it takes a very long time for the advisers to make it to the back. After two hours the advisers finely make it to the back and the number of girls left in the front is 23 with only 15 girls left to go through.

Hong stands next to Meilen smiling as the adviser walks up to her and they ask her "If you were asked to never see your family again what would you say?"

Hong gave the man a once over and then said "I would tell the man telling me this to go jump of a bridge."

The adviser looked at her and then said "Please move forward you will be staying for the next month."

Hong's response was short and quick "Thanks" as she started to walk forward and then she was gone.

The adviser then turned to Meilen and asked "If you were asked the same question what would you say?"

Meilen thought about what he could say to get sent home but, in the end, he said what he really thought because he never really like to lie unless it was for a good reason. "Well I love my family very much but I don't now why the person is asking me to leave them. If they truly have a right and just reason for me to leave them then I guess I would do as they wish. What I'm trying to say is that I would hear them out before saying what I would do."

The adviser looked at Meilen a little shocked and then said "You will be staying for the next month please walk forward."

This shocked Mielen and all he could do was say a quick "Ok" then walk forward just hoping he will live to the end of the month.

Emperors pov

Unknown to the prince and Meilen the emperor would later ask the adviser what the plain girl answer to the question was. When he heard her answer he smiled and thanked the man happy to know he was wright about the girl's kind aura. The emperor can only hope his son does well to steal her heart and make her the next empress.
