Everybody gathered at the sitting room waiting for Michael to come out as they are all ready to bid him a good-bye.

Michael finished zipping his bag, fully set to move. He came out from his room fully dressed in his police uniform. He looked at all of them, “I will be” he said as he smiled vividly. Beatrice and Olivia run to him and gave him a tight hug. “Do not forget the promise to made to us?” they tell at the same time.

Mom and Dad are already in tears as he walks to them. He hugged them and says “I will keep my promise”. “May God be with you my son,” Dad tells and they all replied “Amen”. He walks to Gil and Marcus, hugged them as Kerres and Jillian came and hugged him from behind. Gil carries his trolley and Marcus carries his laptop bag as they all move out to his car. He opened his car trunk as Gil and Marcus load them in. He opened the car door and get fully seated while he grabs his seat belt and put it in place. He starts the car engine, “don't forget to eat your meals on time” Mom shouted as he waved them goodbye and drives away.

It was 45 minutes drive, Michael finally arrived buffalo and without hesitation, he heads straight to his posted station. He drives through the station parking space and parked as he steps down from the car.

He walks towards the station main entrance door, it was an average old aged police Sergeant walking heading out the station. “Hello George, please can you show me the SP's office,” he asked as he grabs the first name of the sergeant officer from his shirt.

“Good morning sir” George replied immediately because he noticed that he was the new SP of the station. George added “yes sir, follow me” he added as he gave him a full force salute. “At ease George,” Michael said. George leads the way while Michael was followed him behind.

George knocked on the door to the SP's office twice, and the SP responded: “who is there?“, ”Someone is here to see you sir“ George added. ”come in, “ the SP said promptly.

George opened the office door and shifted a little bit, leaving a space where Michael can walk in. The SP immediately stands up as he set his eyes on Michael. They both gave a short salute as they greeted each other with a hearty handshake.

”You must be Michael Jordan,“ the SP said while he smiles. ” I have been expecting you since yesterday“ he added while he started bringing out some documents under his table.

They both came out of the office after some moment, ”George“ the SP yelled while he looked at both directions. In just a blink of a second, George came hastily and gave his respect, ”I'm here sir“. This is your new Superintendent and he will lead you from now henceforth. You can gather all the officers of this post so that he can give them his welcome address and then, you can take him to his apartment. ” I guess I'll now take my leave now, “ said the SP as he shakes hands and he walks away.

Michael just finished addressing his officers and everyone starts to disperse. ”George, can we go now?“ he said while he looks to his direction. ”yes sir, we can“. They walk out of the station and heads to the car. George rushed to the driver's door to open the door for Michael. ” No George,“ he tells out loud while he throws his right hand in the air expressing rejection. ”Okay sir“, he replied while he smiles vividly.

In the car, Michael was driving on the highway when abruptly a Ferrari car overtake him in so much haste, ”what, this is so unwell“ he said as he expresses so much irritation on his face. ” it's so unfortunate how the children of the big men in power don't care to obey the law“. ” I just hope you can make some impact now that you came“.

Michael nods his head disappointed. ”is there any good restaurant around here where we can eat before we proceed“ he asked. ”Yes sir, there is one over there“ responding while he pointed to a direction with a finger.

They arrived at the restaurant and packed. ” let's go“ Michael said as he opened the car door and they both step down.

In the restaurant, Michael and George sat on an empty table of two. A waitress came to the table holding a small menu booklet and dropped it on the table. ”what can I offer you sir“ she asked jovially.

Michael point at a meal, ”bring one piece of this.“ he said while he looked at George ”your bills on me, give her your order“. George gave the waitress his order and she left. ”What do you know about the late officer Lucas Jordan?“ George raised his head quickly in surprise and looked straight to him. ”so you know him, sir, “ he said while his mood changed in grief. ”He was a good example of an honest officer and a good patriotic citizen sir, who lost his life in the line of his duty. he was found dead in his home, murdered brutally.“ George added as he starts to shed small tears from his eyes.

”Did the government make any efforts towards finding his murderers“? Michael asked while he looked at him sadly. ”Actually sir, the crime of his death is all a political conspiracy. We all believed that but we lacked clear and transparent evidence sir. And again, nobody can dare challenge those political evils because of their political power and influence sir.”

Just a while, the waitress came with their orders and lay it down on the table. “Here are your orders sir”, she said as she smiled and leaves. They all started to eat their meals and George added: “This is all I know and can say about Lucas Jordan sir”.

“Thank you, George,” Michael said. He did not tell him his relationship with Lucas but George is surprised and full of questions to ask Michael as it shows on his face but he couldn't.

After a moment, they both done eating and Michael paid the bills. They head out to the car park and get in the car. “Now what next, to where?” Michael asked. “your apartment sir”, George responded. Michael starts the car engine and he drives away. It was a fifteen minutes drive from the restaurant and they finally arrived at their destination.

It's cleaned and a nice neighbourhood full of life, George pointed at one small beautiful apartment and tells “that is the apartment sir”. They arrived and parked at the gate, George gets down from the car in a hurry and opened the gate to the car. Michael drives in and parked.

He off the car engine and get down as he walks towards the main entrance door, George already finished unlocking the door.

“Here are the keys to the house sir, it's fully furnished.” “Thanks, George, I will call you when I'm in need something,” Michael tells as he put his hand inside his pocket and grabbed some dollar bills. “you can use this and get back home,” Michael said and gave him the money.

“I will try to freshen up and get some rest now, I will meet you up later at the station”. Michael said as he turns around and enters the house.

It was a nice and fully well-furnished two-bedroom luxury apartment. Everything was accurate from the wallpaper to the complete set of luxury sofas that are nicely placed in the accurate position of the sitting room. The glance of the fifty-four inches slim television set that was placed firmly on the wall of the sitting room just took his breath away. “what a beautiful house”, he mumbles.

He then proceeds to the kitchen in other to just have a glimpse. He nods his head in satisfaction as he saw his big refrigerator and all the complete kitchen utensils fully accessible.

He walks to one of the bedrooms and opened the door, “wow this must be the master bedroom ” he tells out cheerily. He strolled inside the room in gratification as he hopped on the bed. “ I will take the shower when I wake”. He tells out exhausted. After a moment, the irksome sound of outdoor music from his neighbour's house wakes him up after he started having a fascinating doze.

“Oh my god,” he said agitatedly. It's a non-stop disturbing sound. He stands and steps down from his bed. He walked out of the house and went straight to his neighbour's main entrance door. He impatiently pressed the press the ring bell switch more than twice at a time.

He angrily raises aloft his hand to press the switch again while the door was opened. It was a gorgeous, glamorous, beautiful and adorable cute young lady. “Yes? Can I help you?” She asks with a tremendous smile on her face.
