Chapter 1Liam slowly opened his eyes and sitted up.There is sluggishness in his movement.He had nothing to eat last night again.But he has to work to the pigsty and feed the pigs so he can eat breakfast at least if he is even a bit late, he won't be eating again and would be hit badly by his uncle again.Usually he would hurry and climb down the makeshift bed he lived all his life upstairs the horse barn. His bed is a stack of dry straws with a worn out blanket to make it more look like a person's bed. There's a carton in between so he won't get stabbed by the straw sharp ends.He only looks at his tiny hand that is covered with hard skin, it was very rough.He was dreaming for three days already. His body is too hungry."What is today's date?"He doesn't know when exactly will his father arrive to take him back.Within this week?He already turned 10.That's all he can remember. The driver asks.Liam nods his head and slowly stands up.He is so dirty so he steps away a bit.He is sure that people hate disgusting children.This driver looks so tall and capable.He is actually not an ordinary driver but a sworn friend with the CEO that probably is sitting on the back passenger seat.Liam knows they are here for him.But he doesn't know what attitude to show.Should he copy the half sister and also beg for attention and love?"Uh….""Liam! You b*stard! You run away before cleaning and feeding the pig?! I will really kill you this time." The Uncle is so mad he didn't see the tall man and the impressive car.The small Liam sees the murderous aura in his Uncle's eyes and tries to run but gets tripped by the uneven land.Liam's Uncle grabs his head and slammed him down. Then in his dizziness he was pinned down.He was choking.Right.This Uncle is drunk. Usually he is not this brutal.Or else how can he live up to 10 years?Still he stop moving after a while There is nothing but darkness.The CEO's assistant, Xion, frowns hearing the Uncle's angry voice but the next scene makes him tremble and late in his reaction.The small goblin crashed like a doll.The big man even pinned him, choking the unmoving boy.Xion finally moves and grabs the man away from the boy.The man inside also gets out of the car and hits the Uncle's face."What….Who...Who the hell are you?" The Uncle shouted."You dare hit such a small frail boy! You are still human?"Xion shouted."He is my sister's son! I feed him and clothed him, what rights if he lives or dies in my hand!" The Uncle shouted in anger."Good!" Leo angrily shouted.He is not sure at first but now he is sure. This is his son.Leo carried the unmoving child.Didn't they say that unconscious people are heavier?He felt like he was carrying a bundle of paper!Leo turned around and went to the car."Wait! What are you doing? That boy is mine!" The Uncle shouted.Xion is so angry that he beat the Uncle. Make his face bleed and kick his stomach and chest."Stop it! Let's go to the hospital!" Leo shouted.Xion finally snapped out of it and went inside the car.Leo is holding the boy. His breathing is so weak that the boss trembles a bit.Xion drives the car so fast but Leo doesn't complain and just holds the boy who is not responding in his arms.Tighter.Fearing he will die if he is not careful.This is not the first meeting he expected.He is not passionate about his children.But seeing his son was hit like that and was being choke to death his emotions were stirred."How is he?"Xion asks.They are in the hospital and the doctor just got out of the room.The doctor glares at Xion."Are you his father? How could you be so inhuman? The boy is very malnourished and has a very weak immune system.His body is full of small injuries and he has a stomach ulcer. 10 years old. His head injury is not that heavy and luckily there is no damage. But he was very tiny. He won't be able to leave the hospital for a week or more. His body is in need of nutrients and nurturing." The doctor starts angry and then slowly his voice is softening.He is a bit mad but he needs to continue his professionalism.Still it was very maddening. Such a 10 year old boy, he is only 47 cm and 27 kilo. Isn't this man capable of buying an expensive suit? How can he starve his own son like this?Leo's face is dark. His eyes are cold."What he needs, please do it. Money is not an issue." If he is malnourished then find a pediatrician and nourished him to health.If he needs to buy clothes then ask Xion to prepare for it.Leo rubs the boy's head.He almost lost him.He doesn't know why it was such a big deal for parents but now he feels the need to protect this life.Xion stands behind Leo and looks at his softened expression.Xion sighs inside his heart.This is a father and son.If not for this small episode, would his boss be moved by the boy?When he holds him in his arms and tightly feared for his life.
