Everyone was gathered around the conference room, patiently listening to an officer currently discussing the occurrence of series of deaths in their area for the past week. Just two days ago, another man was found dead in the school ground of a private university where the victim worked as a professor.

"Look at these photos we got from the scene." Officer David flashed a couple of pictures of the recent case.

A dead man could be seen lying face down on the ground. His face unrecognizable, bones poking out of his flesh from the impact of falling from the rooftop of a 5-storey building. The pictures were not suited for the faint hearted due to its gruesome condition.

James, who's sitting in the middle, studied the pictures carefully.

"What is odd in these pictures?" Officer David scanned the room with his questioning eyes.

"No blood." Officer Jonathan muttered softly, eyes not leaving the pictures.

"That's correct." Officer David flashed more pictures, this time from the unsolved cases they had.

He pointed the first picture. "This one is from the Victor Lee case." He pointed the next one. "And this is from the Anthony Han case."

The people in the room started chattering, finally getting an idea of what the officer is trying to explain.

The officer continued, pointing out the last picture. "And the last one is the professor, Marcus White."

The noise became louder, everyone was finally understanding the similarities of the cases.

"If you look closely, all these three cases are odd. Even though the bodies are crushed out to death, there's no trace of blood in the area or even in the dead bodies as if it's been sucked out." David continued flashing pictures from the three recent cases they had.

Officer Earl raised his hand before slowly placing it under his chin. "So are you suggesting that these three cases have the same perpetrator? That whoever killed Victor Lee is the one who killed the other two?"

"Yes, that can be." David answered, eyes determined to solve the cases.

"Have you found a lead?" James questioned.

Officer David shrugged his shoulders. "Sorry Chief, but I haven't."

James nodded his head, acknowledging the officer's keen observation, however, he missed something.

The chief stood, walking to the podium. He tapped David's shoulder, praising him for a job well done. The officer finally took his seat, giving way to the chief.

"What officer David said is a high possibility. Aside from the 'no blood' similarity, if you look closely at these images, you will find one more."

James zoomed in the images, focusing on the victims' necks.

"Look at these marks."He motioned, circling the area with his pointer finger.

"All three men have these strange wounds on the base of their neck." He continued, urging everyone to come up with the same idea he has in mind. He then lined up the names of the victims, emphasizing the first letter of their names that somehow lead them into forming an incomplete word.

Victor Lee

Anthony Han

Marcus White

The people were silent, not really wanting to voice out what they think, finding the idea impossible.

The idea of a vampire.

James looked at his subordinates closely before finally walking out of the podium, not wanting to say things beyond reason and logic.

"That's the only thing we have for these cases. Meeting adjourned."

He went out of the conference room, mind still fogged with possibilities he doesn't want to think about.

----------

The pub has a cozy ambiance with lighting mellow and soft, perfect for people who wish to have a solemn time drinking out. In the corner, James had his hand wrap around his half-filled glass, his fifth for the night.

He slowly took a sip, letting all the things bothering him be washed away as the alcohol kicked in.

James is not a heavy drinker. He only drinks when his mind is bothered and anxious from work and other things. He sighed, finally deciding to finish his glass and eventually go home. He drank the alcohol in one go, feeling the hot liquid flowing down his throat, burning his insides. He fumbled through his pocket, looking for his wallet when a sexy voice came from his left.

"One tequila, please."

James had to turn his head to see where the voice came from. His eyes landed on the man sitting next to him, and whoever made the word beautiful should be proud that the word existed to define the said man. He had brunette curls adorning his small face. His eyes decorated with long lashes, and James could tell they're not fake. His nose prominent, high and pointed and his lips red as cherry. Just from staring, James could tell how soft they would feel against his own.

James internally cursed himself from fantasizing over the beautiful man. He moved his gaze away, not really wanting to look like a crazy guy in front of the beauty.

"It's okay to stare."

James heard, immediately looking back at the man.

Is he talking to him?

He saw the man smile, alluring and captivating. His pearly white teeth showing from his boxy smile, somewhat flirtatious and inviting.

He is talking to him.

James cleared his throat, avoiding eye contact. He's not really good at flirting. He stiffened, feeling a soft hand over his shoulder, caressing a little.

"Don't tell me you're not getting the hint." The beautiful man whispered, sending shivers run down the chief's spine.

"U-h.. What?" He asked, confused and nervous.

The beauty giggled, softly caressing his forearm.

"You're cute." The beauty inched closer, lips almost touching the officer's ears in an attempt to whisper.

"Do you want to spend the night with me, officer?"

To say that James was aroused might be an understatement. He felt his blood hot and boiling, the alcohol not really helping. His cock twitched underneath his pants, mind going crazy from lust. He turned his gaze at the beauty, their closeness almost suffocating. James could practically feel the beauty's hot breath on his lips in close proximity. Just a small push and their lips will instantly meet.

His lust filled eyes darted down to the beauty's soft and plump lips. He had this urge to enclose those lips with his own, wanting to taste the sweetness in them.

"Say yes officer, and I'll be yours."

The offer was tempting and a man like James whose mind was clouded from alcohol and lust could be easily swoon.

He nodded his head, finally giving in to the hunger that the beauty has made him feel.

"Let me fuck you."
