💔Chapter 8💔

                   Daniel's pov

I knelt down beside the bed and cried so much like I'm in pain. In fact, I'm in pain.

I know have wronged her.

I know have done something bad to her.

Something I regretted later.

Have caused her so many pain.

I don't deserve her forgiveness. Yes, I don't.

But still...I want her to forgive me.

I'm a monster.

A devil. 

I'm a fool to have done that thing to her. I ruined her life cause I was just lusting after her body and also because of a silly bet with my friends.

Have never been able to rest. I'm miserable as I am right now. I'm pretend like everything is okay but inside it's not.

     I shut my eyes tight and saw her again. Kira.

"Daniel, please don't do this to me." 

"This isn't right, Daniel. Everyone is watching" 

Everything just keep appearing.

  She cried to me but I was just to stupid to listen to her.

I never slept well since the day I got her raped.

I don't have a peace of mind.

   I see her in my dreams. Haunting me. Every time I close my eyes to sleep, I see her threatening me.

I'm really a bastard. A real one.

After so many years, I finally saw her. With those children. Are they mine? I can't be sure.

     I can't believe I will still see her again. I went to her house in search of her but I was told she left already.

That day I raped was the day I escaped death.

Immediately I stepped out of the building just to find kira, the building exploded killing everyone inside. It had caught fire and collapsed.

I was the only one alive.

    I cleaned my eyes and got up from the ground, then left the ward.

"Sir, are you alright?" One of te nurses asked but i ignored her.

I got to my car packed outside, ignited the car and drove out of the hospital.

     A tear slipped when I remembered how she cried back in the hospital.

Have hurt her so much. I betrayed her trust for me.

"I'm so stupid. I'm a bastard. Oh God! Will she ever forgive me?" I asked myself.

'You disgraced her you know.' My subconscious told me.

"You're right!" I replied him.

    I drove home and dropped my bag on the couch before going to see my mother in her room.

Dad had gone to work.

    "Dan! How have...wait! Why's your eyes red? You've been crying?" She gasped.

"What happened? You saw her with a knife?" She asked, but I shook my head.

Sometimes without sleeping, I will see Kira.

Anywhere, in my room, working place, meetings and all that. She's always coming in the day with a knife.

  I have day mares and night mares.

  "No, mom. I...i...i saw...forget it, mom" I rushed my words and walked to my room.

Even if I cry, it won't solve it.

"Daniel, please don't do this to me" 

"Everyone was watching". 

"Daniel! No oo!"

"What? You think you can rape me and get away with it. Huh?" She held a knife.

"I'm sorry, kira" I begged.

"You bastard! I will kill you right here today" She raised the knife up to stab me, I shouted and woke up.

I was sweating profusely, looking around the whole room and I saw her again.

"Kira, please! You're tormenting me. Don't kill me." I pleaded but she just laughed amd then, I can't find her again.

       Mom and dad rushed to my room immediately and sat beside me.

"You're having a night mare again. Daniel, who's this girl haunting you at night?" Mom asked but I couldn't speak.

I can't tell them what I did to Kira.

"I don't know her." I simply said.

"You can go back to your room and sleep. I'll be alright." I told them but that's a lie.

I won't be able to close my eyes not to talk of sleeping.

"Okay, sleep tight" Dad whispered and peeked my forehead before leaving the room with mom.

I quickly came down and turned on the lights, and went to my bed.

I grabbed the pillow and hug it so tightly. Since I couldn't sleep again, I took the laptop beside me and started working on it.

The time was just 12:10am.

   At 6:19 am, I walked to the bathroom to take my bath and wore my clothes. I primped my hair and and added some jell to it.

         Looking good, I came downstairs to eat breakfast. 

"Good morning, dad" I greeted my dad who was climbing down the stairs.

"Good morning, son" He beamed with a smile.

"So, I wanna talk to you. Are you ready to hear it or I should keep it till Friday?" 

"Hmm...Friday will be good" I nodded.

"Okay, enjoy your breakfast" He left while I sighed.

      I just need to find Kira by all means and keep asking for her forgiveness until she forgives me.

                 Kira's pov

"Mama! You've been crying since yesterday. Don't cry again" Rhian said.

"Else, we will cry too." Ryan pouted.

They can't understand. They can't. If only they knew what their father did to me.

They are just too young to understand.

     Suddenly, they started crying too. Oh God!

"Mummy! Don't cry again!" Ryan begged.

   "Okay, I won't. You too should stop crying too. I'll get you ready for school." I quickly said and got up from the floor.

I bathed them and wore them their school uniforms.

"Mom, you should put on a smile so we can smile too." Rhian frowned.

"Yeah, I will. Don't worry, mom is going to e okay." I told her.

I served them breakfast and soon, we were outside to take a cab.

My heart skipped when I saw him coming.

Oh the landlord. I dare not run .

"Go..good morning sir." I tried not to stutter.

"Keep the greetings to yourself. I came here to collect my money. Where's it?" He stretched his hand forward.

"Hmm...I don't have the money with me. I just lost my job." 

"Ohh! You lost your job? How's that my business anyway. Just give me my money or else, you will leave this house. Poor church rat." He cussed and left.

  I whimpered and turned to my kids,

"Let's go" I spoke in a dry voice.  

"Mommy, tell me we will be sleeping under the bridge soon" Rhian blurted, holding my fingers tight.

"No baby, we won't. Let's just go please." 

I got to their school and turned to go back home, their teacher called me.

"Hmm...ma'am, you haven't paid the twin's school fees for last semester and this one too."

The teacher said, holding up a smile in her face.

"I'll pay very soon. I just need to work hard to get the money." I responded.

"Okay, I'd be waiting then."

     I went home and Walked to my room straight away. I brought out the saving box where I do keep my money.

I broke the cover and poured out the money.

I breathed out cause seeing this can't even pay half of the rent not to talk of paying my children's school fees.

         I gathered the money and put them on the bed. I heard a knock on my door and stood up from where I was sitting.

I don't have visitors, so who could be at my door. I went to open the door and was surprised to see who's it.
