The bell for first period rang, and there was silence in the class as he rose from his chair.

" close your books everybody.i wanna know how seriously you all took my words." Sir said and looked at everybody and then at me . i didn't want him to choose me to answer .

"Yes. the last bench girl" .He said and i was froze i was going to stand but Mira rose.

oh ! she is also sitting at the last bench.

She answered wrongly. and just smiled at him.

" what do you think you are here for ? not to give attention and then smile ." He shouted at her. we all looked at him with fear.

"sorry sir. " Mira said.

"what sorry? get out!"

"sir please . i m really sorry. " her voice sounded cracked. He hurt her on her first day. And they all were praising him the whole period.

"i said get out. "

She went out and me and priya looked at each other .

"SHREYA, you answer." he said with a smile.

i stood and answer nervously. he came to my bench and rested his hands on the back of my seat.

"excellent! wonderful answer."

i sat down . Priya smiled at me. Then he gave the introduction of the chapter. but was looking at me intently.

Finally the bell rang and we all closed our books . Sir went out and said bye to all .

'' He is so strict. we all will have to study like you .'' Aakash said. The girls gave me mean looks. Like really! Are they out of their minds?

The whole class was discussing about him for the rest of the day. Even after the insult , The girl was blabbering how he asked her first to answer.

LUNCH TIME:

''Hmmm. The delicious smell after 3 months. i love it.'' I said while heading to the canteen.

I went to the counter and ordered my favorite samosas and cold drink with potato chips.'' for me also. i will return you tomorrow.'' priya said.

but when i checked my pockets , my purse was not there. oh no! i forgot it.

''priya , are you having any money? '' i asked her confused.

''no. '' She shook her head.

''uncle please i will pay for it tomorrow.''

''sorry . but i can't . we have to give the total balance to supervisor.sorry.''

'' How much has to be paid?'' A familiar voice asked . we turned around to see Abhimanyu standing behind us.

''120 rupees sir.''

'' have it. '' He handed money to uncle

''no sir. please .you needn't pay for it. i will borrow from someone.'' i said shocked.

'' really? but i have paid . '' he raised a brow.

''but sir..''

'' this is a treat for your result so keep quiet and bye.'' he touched my back and walked away.

This is disgusting. debt from a teacher! wow. that on first day.
